About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- B4880DTrandym0 contributionsFinisterre and the Costa da MorteBus trip to Finisterre and the Coast of Death was a blast. It had rained a bunch doing the Camino and I wanted to conclude with a short day trip. The thing that made it was the weather! Blue sky and plenty of sunshine, low 20s Celsius. Tour guide spoke clear English, knew the history, and gave a few tips about food and where we might eat. Plenty of time at each stop so I did not feel rushed. Conversation and beverage with fellow travellers also a plus. II was told if it is cloudy or foggy some coastline views are partially obscured. FYI.Written 25 October 2024
- Raymondocanuck0 contributionsTake this tour!Just an excellent tour of the major sites with a great guide Laura and driver Borja. The trip started in horrible weather but the staff and guides handled the departure process with ease and good humour. The day got better and better as the weather improved and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.Written 9 October 2024

- Ellenrick8100 contributionsExcellent way to see the coast of GaliciaThis was a wonderful way to see the costal towns of Galicia. We got to see the many sites listed AND spend enough time exploring or just enjoying them. Stop overs ranged for 1/2 hr to 1 1/2 hrs, giving time to take photos and enjoy the flavor of each place. Jovanna the guide and Suso our driver were wonderful. Worth every penny/Euro.Written 27 September 2024

- Vacation120992022060 contributionsThis company isn't professional. Be careful.I do not recommend this company. I booked a tour online and no one showed up at the scheduled time and place. I tried calling them multiple times with no response. Later that day they told me it was a system error and there was no tour at that time. It was my last day in the city, we checked out of our hotel and had to spend the whole day with nothing to do or nowhere to go. I also had to beg for a refund, and waste so much time with this. Do not recommend, don't trust this company, they are not professional at all.Written 31 July 2024

The stop at Ribadeo could have been left out of the itinerary as we only had lunch there and saw nothing of the town. It would have been better to have had more time in Lugo so people could have the time to see inside the Cathedral. Also the entrance fee to the cathedral could be included in the tour price.

Hello Mary.
I would explain you why we have 3 stops tours instead 2 stops tours.
Tour Galicia has been doing this tour for over 7 years at least 3 times a week. We have tried hundreds of combinations, directly to Lugo, even avoiding Lugo and including other places, but the final result includes Ribadeo and Lugo for several reasons.
Firstly, as you know the tide timming variate everyday, then, mostly of the days, tha one we offer the tour, we have to go before or after lunch and the only village closer enough to Cathedral´s beach it is Ribadeo, and bigger enough to offer places according to our group size, even though, we leave free time for lunch.
I will show you with real timming. If we leave the beach any time between 12.00 to 15.00, or the low tide it is any time between 11.00 to 17.00, imagine if we take you to Lugo for Lunch at 16.00, or at 11.00 because remember Lugo it is at least at 1.20 h from Cathedrals Beach.
For that reason we need a places closer enough to give us lunch an certain time, and we do not have to have a over 1h bus trip to arrive.
In other hand, we do not include the entrance to the cathedral because sometimes we do not have enough time to enter due to mess and other events inside.
As you know, tour Galicia wish that the Cathedrals Beach would be closer to Santiago, but the distance it is what it is. We have think about the best itinerary possible to offer the best service to our costumers listening every of them.
I hope you understand now, why a 2 stop tour it is nos possible.
Thank you very much

The driver and guide were very organized, kind, and knowledgeable! I loved that we were provided with information about the land, the history of the area, etc. along the way. I also appreciate that they knew when the tide was rising, as to know the perfect time to go to and have proper access to the Cathedral Beach, which is beautiful!
The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because I felt that Lugo and the other pueblo didn't have that much to see. I would have almost preferred to have only gone to Lugo and the beach. I understand the second pueblo was for us to have lunch closer, but I feel like it could have been a location to cut out and made the excursion a little shorter and possibly a little cheaper. However, all this said, I would recommend the experience.

Maria was my guide and she was great. Even though I was only one of two English speakers, Maria always made sure to take the time to translate everything for us. She was a hard worker and was nonstop explaining things in Spanish and English. She was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The tours were great. There was so much terrific history to see and learn about. I appreciate that this tour company gives two hours for lunch (whereas most companies only give an hour) so that there is time to eat as well to explore independently.

The guide was absolutely fantastic - so much energy! She shared so much interesting history, and was never boring. I don't know how she kept it up because it was a really long day - that's my only complaint about the tour is it was nearly 11 hours long, and I ended up running out of energy. But I'm grateful we went early so that we could see the Playa de las Catedrales at low tide, for sure.
Lugo and Ribadeo were also beautiful!

It is an extraordinary place. Unfortunately it rains a lot and it is cold, so it is not advisable to get wet, otherwise, when the tide does not go out enough, the ideal is to get your feet a little wet and be able to reach the most impressive formations. It is advisable to go with rain boots.

It's been a great outing. The Playa de las Catedrals is wonderful, it is worth going to see it you will not regret it, however much they tell you you have to see it for yourself. Lugo is a nice and quiet city and Ribadeo great to eat. Our Great Giovanna Guide, has explained everything in great detail and very well, is very sweet and very close with people, I loved everything about her.

I have loved the three excursions I have done.
The tourist guides are fantastic, they tell stories from the past, facts from the present, you learn geography and many other things.
Today I am booking 2 more Tours since I am very happy.
Thank you

Very good experience with Maria on the tour of Cathedral Beach and Lugo. Maria made our trip a unique experience. You can tell that he works on trips since the information he gave us was very detailed and precise. We met the company thanks to a very nice girl next to the Cathedral of Santiago who explained the Tour to us very well and accompanied us to the office to book, I think her name was Almudena.

Excellent tour! Views were amazing! The rock formations were unbelievable
Only issue is tour is supposed to be in English also but it was not especially in Lugo. She did provide QR code so we can listen but I don't know if what she talked about in Lugo is there. We probably missed a lot but it was a beautiful day and we still enjoyed it. Also appreciated the stops for coffee and bathrooms very much

The pace is good and our tour guide is very helpful and nice. Although the tour is in Spanish, but she took special care of me by pointing out the important times and called me when she didn’t see me. The beach of Playa de las Catedrales is stunning!
