- Teresa R0 contributionsQueimada Experience a little disappointingIn a busy cafe, the bartender was tasked with providing the ‘Queimada experience’ for 3 tables of patrons. We watched him chat with one table, then had to ask whether the front table was for us and verified by showing him our ticket. It was quite disorganized. When he started the incantation, unfortunately, his English was minimal although we could follow along in English on a printed folder. It would have been significantly better to have understood why one drinks the beverage. We stayed for a second drink and tapas, but were overall disappointed with the experience.Written 2 November 2024

- simonedN820QO0 contributionsCatedrals Beach a day to never forgetWe enjoyed a wonderful day, with beautiful sites like the coast of Tapia de Casariego, where the food in the restaurant was delicious. A recommendation of our guide Martin. Also the walk and informational tour at Rinlo and the sites of Pancha Island were beautiful. But the most incredible moment was Catedrals Beach. Such force of Nature. Beautiful. We had a wonderful, very long day with a guide speaking fantastic English and ofcourse Spanish, his born language. He talked and supported with the most interesting information, but also knew when to let people wander on their own. Thank you Galicia travelsWritten 14 October 2024
- doriscX7458HS0 contributionsParty boat with wine and musselsHad couple days in Santiago after completing Camino. Took finisterre/muxia tour day before. It was great. Wasn’t sure about this one - winery and mussel boat. But foodie at heart - this seemed perfect and full day. Wow! Tour did not disappoint!! 3 main points: - winery: Learned so much about how wine is produced and certified in small batches from local producers. Very controlled in standards to produce best wine. Though mainly in Spanish, tour guide took special care o of English speakers. Very personal touch. - mussel boat tour: highlight of tour!! For lunch, Didn’t expect it - party boat!!! It was amazing!! Alyce local, plump delicious mussels, white wine and other beverages. Whole boat of bus friend were singing and celebrating as we went thru trays of mussels and bottles of wine. Must, must do!! - visiting charming local towns and vistas. Tour was incredible way to end time in Spain and Camino. Highly recommend!!Written 26 September 2024
- jean119050 contributionsThe best way to visit Finisterre from Santiago de Compostela1We had just finished walking 200 km of the Camino de Santiago and really wanted to get out to Finisterre. We looked into taking the local bus, taking a taxi, and renting a car and then I found this tour. The price was incredible for not only getting out to Finisterre but also visiting other places on the beautiful coast. Our guide spoke both English and Spanish and fluently switched between the two. He talked just enough (some guides talk way too much in my opinion). The bus driver maneuvered the vehicle excellently. We had just enough time to visit/explore at each stop. For a 9+ hour tour, we definitely felt like we got a great deal money-wise.Written 21 September 2024
- margotg3490 contributionsRias Baixas- NuriaOverall all the trip exceeded our expectations. Our host is Nuria, amazing and very knowledgeable and friendly we had an amazing time and learned a lot. Trip was very convenient and relaxed. - Sdjtravels0 contributionsHighly Recommend This Tour and Tour CompanyThis was our second Galicia Travel tour leaving from Santiago de Compostela. We were able to see many different places during this day trip. If you can only take one, I think the tour to Cathedral Beach, Asturias, and Pancha was more spectacular. That being said, they pack a lot of places into this trip.Written 12 September 2024

Absolutely fantastic day trip, when travelling alone it can be a little awkward at times but the tour guide Elvis - not quite his real name is fluent in several languages, he was knowledge and informative throughout the day. I have to say again Absolutely fantastic I would be happy in the knowledge that this company is both reputable and extends value for money. If you want to get the most of you holidays book with these guys, I intend to in the future.

The day excursion was so full and every stop we made was interesting and at times exciting. Despite the heavy rain because of our guide we were able to enjoy and participate in each different experience. His knowledge and helpful attitude made us feel that nothing was too much trouble and he smiled the whole day through. Even checked with us at lunchtime did we need any help with ordering and understanding and suggested his recommendations. Our driver was friendly and handled the coach with expertise, never once did we feel unsafe. I could not recommend this tour and this tour company enough. Thank you very especially to our guide Martinx

On May 2nd, I booked the Finisterre/Costa da Morte day trip for May 12th with pick-up at our hotel, the Eurostar Gran Hotel, in English with Galicia Travel. We agreed to meet at 9:10 am in front of our hotel and pay directly to the tour guide on the bus. They asked for our exact names and my mobile number, which we provided immediately. On May 11th, I sent this agency another confirmation email with the agreement made
for the booked trip on May 12th. The agency confirmed this immediately. On May 12th, my husband and I were standing in front of the Eurostar Hotel at 8:50 am, right by the entrance, as agreed. From there you have an excellent view of all the arriving buses. When there was still no bus at 9:20 am, I called the agency, but no one answered. I tried to reach someone on the homepage via WhatsApp chat. At 10:05 am (!) I received a message via email and WhatsApp saying that the bus driver had not seen anyone in front of the hotel. This cannot be true, as we had been waiting in the best and most clearly visible place since 8:50 am and no bus drove past or stopped in front of the hotel! Who is lying and why? And why were we not called, as they had all of our contact details? The agency offered neither an apology nor an explanation. They simply offered us a personal pick-up for the next day and a discount on the excursion. However, as we had to leave the following day, the Finisterre excursion that we had been looking forward to so much simply fell through. Galicia-Travel Santiago, which at first glance makes a good impression (on the homepage), turned out to be extremely disorganized and unreliable. Therefore, definitely not recommended! Better alternative: Friends of ours found a taxi driver at the cathedral on the same day who drove them to Cape Finisterre (including the lighthouse) and back. A half-hour break in Finisterre was included. Cost for the whole trip, 3 people, 130 euros. With a tip of 20 euros, that was 50 euros per person. Practically the same price as Galicia Travel, but reliable and less nerve-wracking. P.S. We did get to Finisterre after all, on the public bus for 7.20 euros each way. Not as far as the lighthouse though...

The tour is full of beautiful places, both to visit and the views of the bus by the shore of death. Super punctual, the guide is very friendly and with relevant information about all the sites to visit and the driver walks slowly in the most beautiful areas, you can appreciate very well. I would recommend it to anyone!

A great day trip to the end of the world!
A very intelligent informed guide who was very good at both English and Spaish delivery of information and at giving the group instructions so the day ran smoothly. The bus driver inspired confidence as he expertly navigated the bus to our various stops. Highly recommend this day trip.

It is very well organized, although it is true that if you take food from home, the stop in the village of Finisterre becomes long and there is little to see.
The Guide repeated many times the same, but was very attentive to all passengers and very friendly.
I would definitely repeat!!

We enjoyed the Finisterre trip yesterday. Unfortunately the mist & rain did not show the beauty of the area fully but we enjoyed the bus trip along the coastline as well as the 7 places we stopped along the way. Noe was a very knowledgable guide of the places & history, & switched between Spanish & English commentary well. Noe also provided tips on things to see & where to eat, which was appreciated. The driver was amazing to drive in the heavy fog conditions.
A beautiful and relatively untouched area of Spain to see.

We booked this tour at the last minute. The office were very accommodating and arranged to pick us up from our hotel to ensure we were able to meet the whole tour group at the departure location on time. The day was packed full of sites, food and travel that we could never have imagined! Our guide Ash was very knowledgeable and approachable, we were blessed to have him with us for the whole day. We were given plenty of free time to explore as well as time to listen to the history of Galicia. I highly recommend it for those who do not have time to walk to Finisterre but would love to see ‘the end of the earth’
