- LaPBrit0 contributionsA must if you want to see a lot of Gibraltar in a short visitIf you’re considering a day in Gibraltar, I would 100% recommend booking on one of these trips. We visited for the day from Spain and I booked very last minute after reading negative reviews of the cable car which we had previously intended to do. Before arriving, we received really useful advice on arriving in Gibraltar and where to park. We parked at the car park right by the border and walked through and across the airport, which was a great experience. We had a lovely lunch at Ocean Village and then met our driver, Carl, at Casemates Square. We did the standard tour and thought it was perfect - there’s no way we would have seen or learned as much as we did in one day otherwise. The price of the tour seemed expensive at first but it included access to the caves and tunnels so, what with the skywalk and the excellent tour and information, it ended up being a great deal. We visited on a hot afternoon in August and the air-conditioned van was an absolute godsend. I had been nervous about the apes but our driver knew them individually and was able to advise how to approach them and which ones were more friendly so it was a great experience. We have recommended to friends and would book again if we returned to Gibraltar.Written 25 August 2024
- Dimitri_PE750 contributionsAmazing 3 1/2 hours tour.We took the 3 1/2 hour tour and did not get bored for 1 minute. Our driver Chris was awaiting us at the border. We were 15 minutes early but he was already awaiting us. Super clean car, super friendly driver, lots of small extra information during the drive. Always perfectly in front of the entrance and ready for us at the exit. Time flew by so fast! We asked to be dropped of in the city center and he told us about a small harbor where you can find some small restaurants outside the busy city center. Thank you Chris for a wonderful experience!Written 12 August 2024
- danielrI6812FU0 contributionsGreat Tour!Carl was great! Wow never knew there was so much to learn about Gibraltar. Carl was extremely informative from the first minute till the end. I highly recommend.Written 19 July 2024
- tonitP4192TJ0 contributionsStunning day in Gibraltar! This tour was fantastic! Adrian, our guide was super friendly and excited to show us this wonderful place! We saw the caves, tunnels the sights from the top to the bottom, and, of course, the monkeys! Adrian was especially helpful with the monkeys as those little critters will jump on you to take stuff - I was so grateful to get close enough for a photo, but not get tangled with them. The history and beauty of the rock is simply amazing and the way Adrian presented our day was spectacular! We will definitely go again!Written 7 July 2024
- L7516MPkb0 contributionsGreat Guide Made This TourWe booked this tour as my mother has limited mobility and the Cable Car was not really an option. But what our tour guide provided was a truly fun and worthwhile experience! He spent the entire tour providing facts about the history of Gibraltar, pointing out famous landmarks and providing interesting anecdotes, and answering any and all questions we came up with. And best of all, he had a great personality which made the whole experience even better. While my mother couldn't get out to see every sight on the tour, the guide made it fun for us all. Lastly, we booked the dolphin tour in combination. Even though we got stuck in line crossing the border, our amazing guide got us to the boat in time. Absolutely worth it!Written 27 June 2024
- nicdigby0 contributionsSuperb for disabled people : a great way to visit the rock if you have mobility issuesWe had Carl as our tour guide and I arranged with the office that we needed a modified tour due to my mobility issues. The office were careful to check my requirements and were excellent at making the arrangements and answering my pre-booking enquiries. Carl came to pick us up at 4pm, as arranged, on the dot. He initially checked again what my disability requirements were, and then ensured to take me to the accessible entrances throughout the tour and only took me to parts of the Upper Rock that I could access with my little mobility scooter. He gave a guided commentary throughout, which was extremely interesting, and also easy to understand. He helped my son to lift my mobility scooter in and out of the car each time we stopped….and I did not even have to fold it down as it fit while standing up in his boot! Perfect! (It’s a travel-friendly 96cm long x 62cm wide x 88cm high Solax “Mobie Plus”, weight 24kg with batteries). Carl was careful to ensure at each stop that I was safe getting in and out of the vehicle and that the relevant lifts were working etc. We visited St Michael’s cave, some amazing Upper Rock viewpoints, a monkey feeding area, the Skywalk view point, the Siege tunnels (I got halfway down these old tunnels, but it then became too steep for my little scooter to get back up again. A bigger road mobility scooter would have coped ok), and the WW2 tunnels, (which were very wheelchair friendly except for the last five metres at the balcony, which I hobbled around the tight corners with my stick. There is no scooter, pushchair or wheelchair that would fit round the last few corners of that balcony viewpoint, but there was ample space to park up my scooter and then hobble). Carl then took us back to our accommodation, giving us more interesting info about the various places we passed along the way. We were absolutely delighted with our tour. It has been the highlight of our trip and is a great choice for anyone. For disabled people, the Upper Rock is generally not very accessible but by choosing Carl and Inside Out Tours, I saw plenty of amazing views, managed to visit many of the top lookout areas, and learnt a lot more on the way than if I’d chosen the (non-accessible cable car) or a dodgy taxi where it’s potluck who you get. We were thrilled with our trip and would recommend it to anyone. For disabled people, it’s a rare treat to have someone so patient and knowledgeable to guide us for the day. TOP TIP: go late afternoon / early evening!!!!! Our tour started at 1600. Not only is it cooler with less blistering sun, (but still warm enough not to need a cardigan, even inside the tunnels), but there’s hardly any other tourists there at that time as their coaches have all left to go back to the Costa del Sol ! We were literally the ONLY people at the WW2 tunnels (my favourite) and there were only two other people at the Siege tunnels and one other family at the Skywalk.Written 20 June 2024
- BarbChicago_Illinois0 contributionsRocking the Rock with KareemThis private tour was well worth the money, especially being able to make our getaway after walking down the road from St. Michael’s Cave, which was an experience in itself! Our guide, Kareem, gave us both a historical perspective and his own as a long time native of Gibraltar. We highly recommend the tour. All questions were promptly answered and directions for where we would be picked up ( at the cruise terminal) were easy to follow.Written 6 June 2024
- 451louisej0 contributionsGreat Rock TourGreat tour of the Rock - really well organised and a super way to hit some of the key sites in an informative and enjoyable way. Thanks very much to our guide Karim.Written 25 May 2024
- IMLady_Marion0 contributionsStellar Gibraltar Tour and ExperienceAbsolutely fantastic tour of Gibraltar. This was my second time booking with Inside-Out Rock Tours as my first experience had been so positive. If possible, this experience was even better. There was a group of us from a cruise, and we were met at the cruise terminal promptly (actually a bit early) by our wonderful guide, Chris. Off we went in a very comfortable van to see all that Gibraltar had to offer as outlined in the online description of the tour. Chris was a wealth of information and very, very accommodating of some individual passenger needs (such as those who preferred to stay in the van at certain sites). Gibraltar and this tour had so many wonderful options for what to see and do during our time there. The entire tour experience, from online booking, emails, and excursion with Inside-Out Rock Tours was terrific. When I return to Gibraltar, they will most definitely be my go-to tour company.Written 14 May 2024
- dinagray990 contributionsFun and stress freeCarl and his team were very helpful booking our tour and telling us exactly how to get to meeting point. Where to park and what to expect getting through customs. That is so important when traveling to an unfamiliar area. We met Karim who was on time and so personable. It was riding around with an old friend. The tour was perfect we are retired and in reasonably good shape but could not have done this on our own. We got the perfect amount of walking and not too tired we could not walk around marina and town after. Karim recommended a lunch place by the water and The Rendezvous did not disappoint. He explained how to get to main street in town and how to get back to our car. It was such a relaxing day because Karim guided us along the way. He was knowledgeable and fun. We loved his Pet names for the monkeys. And his jokes about them. We found this tour to be worth every penny. Talked about what a great day it was.Written 3 May 2024

- Dkleo2323230 contributionsGreat taste of what Gibraltar has to offer! We had an amazing time with Karim! He grew up here in Gibraltar and had so much information for us. He was beyond friendly and accommodating for our group. We had a fantastic time. - trudymccormick0 contributionsTotally worth it-excellent way to see GibralterGuide was excellent, pleasant and informative. The van was extremely clean and comfortable. Two couples on the tour, all of us agreed that it was worth every cent! We would highly recommend.Written 6 April 2024
- Dreamtowander0 contributionsPrivate Tour with Carl - Highly RecommendWe booked the 3.5 hour Private Intermediate tour and Carl was our guide. With limited time in Gibraltar, this was a perfect way to see as much as we could. We parked in Spain and Carl met us across the border. He took us in his nice, clean Mercedes van to all the main sites on the Rock, exactly how he had shared in his email communications. His knowledge of Gibraltar was immense as he has lived there his whole life. I highly recommend this tour especially if you only have half a day to see Gibraltar.Written 25 January 2024
