10/10 day trip to Toledo, enjoyed learning so much about the history of Spain. Directions were given before each part of the trip which was very helpful.

Ninel was an excellent guide. Her English was great. Not all bilingual tours work well. This did. I am a native English speaker and a Spanish learner and I found her Spanish to be clear and easy to follow also. The tour covered a lot in the time allocated and was good value. I would chose this tour of Segovia and Avila again

Toledo is a fantastic place to go. Its ancient buildings and castles make the city look wonderful. We had a bilingual tour guide, who told the stories of the city very interestingly. We really enjoyed the tour.

The tour guide Clara explained very well. The time for the tour was well used. We were able to see the differences between the three main cultures that lived in the city.

Tour was fantastic. The drive from Madrid is very easy, and Toledo is beautiful and historic. I am an American and I would recommend to anyone!

This half day trip to Toledo was amazing! The perfect amount of walking, sight seeing, and breaks in between for food and souvenirs. Would totally do this again!

Due to a misunderstanding with the guide, we were 10 minutes late at the meeting point in Ávila. We had taken his instruction 'Follow the walls' too literally, which meant we discovered too late that we had to walk the same route back to the meeting point instead of continuing across the walls themselves. This meant we had to walk more than 600 meters back. The result: we arrived at the meeting point at 11:25 while we had to be there at 11:15. However, the bus had already left for Segovia and, after contacting Julia Travel in Madrid by phone, we had to take the taxi to Segovia ourselves which costs us 100 EUR. We understand that every tour has a timetable, but the schedule was not that strict at all. Our taxi left Ávila at 11:50, so about 30 minutes later than the bus. In Segovia we went straight to the restaurant where lunch would take place. We were still the first there, the rest of the group arrived 10 minutes later after us! The guide indicated that he had waited 10 minutes for us in Ávila. If that was the case we should have at least seen the bus drive away, however this was not the case. So we strongly doubt this 10 minute waiting time. What disappointed us most is that we did not receive an apology from Julia Travel at all and we had to pay the 100 EUR taxi costs entirely ourselves. The guide indicated in Segovia that he had received instructions from Madrid to leave for Segovia. In addition, Julia Travel could also have done more, for example by calling us at 11:15. We couldn't call the guide ourselves because we didn't have his phone number. They left without any notification and we had to solve it ourselves. It's that our bags were in the bus so we had to follow the bus to Segovia, otherwise we would have taken the taxi back to Madrid. What we did see on the tour in Ávila and Segovia was definitely worth it. But this bus/taxi incident was decisive for how we experienced this day with Julia Travel
