Overview

Visit up to 37 of Madrid’s top sights with a 1- or 2-day, hop-on hop-off bus ticket that lets you see the city your way. Board the double-decker, open-top bus and set off on Route One, Route Two—or both! Learn about Madrid’s history using a complimentary, onboard headset. Disembark to visit museums, landmarks, plazas, and theaters, and explore the Spanish capital using the guidebook and map provided.

What to Expect

Hop aboard an open-top, double-decker sightseeing bus every 15 minutes from morning to evening and set off on Route One or Route Two through Madrid. Choose a 1-day or 2-day ticket option and create your own experience by selecting from 37 available sights along two separate routes (single ticket valid for either route). Along the way, use your personal headset to hear commentary (available in 14 languages) about Madrid’s history and landmarks.

On the Blue Route (Route One), take in old Madrid’s architecture and hop off at highlights such as the Prado Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Gran Vía promenade. Along the Green Route (Route Two), see modern Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium and explore one of the city’s ancient plazas like Puerta del Sol. Alternatively, remain onboard for the entire route and simply enjoy the scenery.

Admission to sights is additional, but the tour includes discount vouchers for Madrid attractions, and a bus-stop guidebook and map.

They are not too bad when they do show up, even very off schedule

It’s just that they rarely do. And when they do, they’re full. Full of all the people that thought the bus would show up but didn’t. Summary - you wait too long for a bus that’s full to the brim and comes too late. Improvable!

Love Madrid

This is a very good way of seeing the city. Highly recommended. We were able to hop on and hop off to our heart's content. Our hotel was near a stop which was very useful.

Ok Madrid city tour

We took both tours today - old and modern Madrid. Thought the tours were average except the commentary a) was poorly synced with the exact position of the bus and b) didn’t always point out clearly the subject of the comments (eg “the building on...More

Hop-on for Best Value

I've been on Hop-on Hop-off tours in about a dozen cities. They have a great system that provides a really good overview of the city, neighbourhoods, historical sites and points of interest and allows the opportunity to get off the bus at any of the...More

Great way to gain an understanding of the City on morning

Hop on and Off in Madrid is fantastic. After reading the reviews I investigated the tour and the busses are in good shape.Really helped us understand the city and sites we wanted to see and revisit.
