- Vc25800 contributionsArt walk with JaimeI enjoyed the tour very much with Jaime. He has a lot of knowledge about the paintings. He explained in a very interesting way and easy to understand to follow for someone like me who doesn't really know much about art. Overall, it's phenomenal!!Written 18 December 2024
- 592svetlanal0 contributionsA great excursionThe excursion and the guide was just great. Highly recommend. If you are in Madrid, you definitely need to visit Prado, wonderful collection. But it is a big museum and excursion is really neededWritten 22 September 2023
- GlobeTrotting7924710 contributionsPrado Museum TourOur tour guide Jaime Buonaroti did an excellent job of describing the major works of art at the Prado Museum. His enthusiasm for art history made our tour so much more interesting and enjoyable. I would strongly recommend using Jaime for your Prado tour.Written 5 September 2023
- StewartK110 contributionsDon’t go with anyone but Jamie! What a fantastic experience. I have been on a tour with such a knowledgeable guide who happily answered all our questions and who cast the paintings in a new light with his detailed and informative presentation. Being in a small group of six was wonderful as we could all get close to Jamie and bathe in his extensive knowledge. Jamie is very personable and speaks very good English. The best introduction to the Prado that you could possibly get.Written 6 May 2023
- X8894IAjeffv0 contributionsDon't go without Jaime!Jaime was a very knowledgeable guide and we learned a lot. He made for a very enjoyable morning. I wouldn't go to the museum without hiring Jaime. Well worth it!Written 26 March 2023
- Expatriat20120 contributionsBest way to visit the Prado with Jaime! We enjoyed a very knowledgeable and engaging tour with Jaime at the Prado. He clearly is a trained art historian, his selection was great, the information and interpretation of each piece was very complete and he was able to link it all together. It felt like a very enjoyable lecture! Would absolutely and highly recommend a tour with Jaime! Thank you!Written 15 March 2023
- Rita P0 contributionsBest tour (art or otherwise) yet!The best tour I've taken anywhere -- and I'm not really an art person. 1st visit to Madrid and everyone said, "Don't miss The Prado." They were 100% right, but to that I would add, "Don't miss Jamie's tour of The Prado." An enthusiastic guide is a lovely thing but add deep study? Although we were a very diverse group, he has curated a tour that enthralled us all equally. His passion is so contagious, I now look at art differently. Lucky me. And if you come to Madrid, lucky you.Written 9 March 2023
- Robert G0 contributionsPrado tour with JaimeThis tour was our first experience at an attraction in Madrid and it was a great start to a great experience in the city. With this tour you will view a fraction of the artwork in the museum, but will be eager to see more. Jaime's knowledge and passion for art makes this tour worthwhile. He provides all necessary information about each piece without either being superficial or way too detailed. I just can praise him enough for the great experience provided.Written 17 November 2022
- steverailalaska0 contributionsJaime was an amazing guideMy wife and I have taken guided tours in many places over many years. Jaime was clearly head and shoulders above most guides we have experienced. He was remarkably, deeply informed and was charming and enthusiastic. He kept our 4 grandkids engaged throughout a long tour which was a complicated endeavor. We highly recommend his service as a guide.Written 17 June 2022

- NNR170 contributionsExcellent Prado Art tour with JaimeJaime is a great guide, and we had an excellent time with him at the Prado. He is very interesting and engaging, and sensitive to his listeners. We saw many masterpieces, and Jaime managed to put them all into perspective, in a very down-to-earth way. Time flew by, and we were left with much knowledge and understanding.Written 18 March 2022

- mrssighi0 contributionsBest Guide to a Beautiful MuseumI have had many tours with guides through museums. Jaime is simply the best. He is so knowledgeable and presents the information in clear, concise and enjoyable ways. His use of his iPad to help you zone in on the points he makes in a picture enhances your understanding. He focuses not only on the artist, the historical time frame of the art but shows how one genre of art is the precursor to another. I recommend him highly.Written 21 November 2021

"The gallery visit with María was FANTASTIC. She took us to hidden galleries and shared her enormous knowledge and experiences about art, artists and also the history of each gallery and its owners. We ended the tour in María's art studio, a studio with numerous works that transmit COLOR and JOY 🙌♥️

Maria Burgaz, a talented local artist, guided us around several local galleries which we would never have found without her assistance. Maria's knowledge and enthusiasm are second to none. As well as bringing to life the many pieces we viewed, Maria was also extremely helpful afterwards in providing a full list of the artists featured and galleries visited for future reference.

This tour will bring you positive energy, surprises, delight, and glimpses of art you’d likely never otherwise see on your own. Maria is a sparkling star of a host whose upbeat and kind personality makes you immediately feel as though you’re with a dear friend (only, a friend who has personal relationships with the top gallery owners in Madrid!). The variety of galleries and artworks we saw during the perfectly-paced tour was astonishing, and the conclusion of the visit at Maria’s own art studio was fabulous. We’d give 10 out of 5 stars if we could--you’ll miss out on an unforgettable art experience in Madrid if you pass this tour by.

A wonderful way to spend the morning and a unique insight into another side of Madrid’s extensive art world. I live in Madrid but still wouldn’t have been able to organise this myself. Many of the galleries are hidden away and you’d never know they were there. María has a wonderful relationship with them and a fantastic knowledge of their exhibitions. We even got access to an exhibition that was not yet open. The cherry on the cake was a a trip to Maria’s studio. Over a glass of wine we chatted for ages and admired her work which is as warm as she is. I thoroughly recommend this experience.

Maria took us on an astonishing journey to some fabulous really hidden galleries we would never have found without her. She was so well prepared to the story and history of each gallery and their respective owners as well as to each current exhibition and the respective artists. She introduced us perfectly to all the artwork and the backgrounds of it - in one gallery the artist of the current exhibition was present and gave us a personal introduction. So we got quite an insight in the variety of modern art and artists in Spain and abroad. Apart from that Maria was very caring and her friendliness and vivid kind of communication made sure that we were most comfortable and lost potential shyness. Our journey finished in Maria‘s own studio and we were struck by the colorful expressive artwork that she creates. She gave as an intimate insight in her personal artistic process in a most unpretentious manner. We had olives and cheese along with a cool choice of beverages, chatted and laughed a lot as if we had known each other for a long time. We really felt like being „at home“! When we come back to Madrid (and we will come back), we will join Maria for a new trip through the hidden galleries of her city - that’s for sure! We thank Maria dearly for a wonderful experience! Maria is very knowledgeable and familiar with the art scene in Madrid. We felt welcomed in every gallery and Maria’s information about each gallery and each artist was invaluable. Maria also invited us at the end of the tour to her beautiful studio with her colorful works, where we had some wine and tapas. We will definitely join the tour again in our next visit to Madrid.

It was my First time in Madrid ever, and Maria certainly was a magnificent way to start it. from the very first moments introducing herself in such a warm welcoming manner I felt it was a good choice. Maria is a successful Artist herself and therefore the Gallery Tour was accompanied with knowledgebale explanations, Stories, Views and critic. At the end of the tour Maria invited us to her own studio, a colourful experience by itself.where she further explained about her own Artistic path, this was accompanied by Good wine and refreshments, we spent almost 2 hours there discussing, Laughing, and getting to know the other members of the tour. so it became even a more engaging experience. It was fun, fun, fun. and Maria is simply Awesome! Really enjoyed it and recommend to anyone visiting Madrid.

Wonderful guided tour! Very enjoyable. Access to (indeed) hidden galleries with María, who is extremely knowledgeable and nice, in one of the most lovely districts of Madrid. Plus you get to meet the owners and even the artists themselves if you get lucky! Bonus: at the end, a relaxed Spanish snack in her atelier. What else can you ask for?

It was a really wonderful experience visiting nice art galleries. These galleries are really hard to find if you will do it on your own. Maria knows a lot about the places and the galleries' owners. Also, we had a chance to hear a lot about current exhibitions and the painters being exhibited. Maria, thank you very much!
