About
I will show you a special selection of masterpieces in the best gallery in the world, while explaining the historical details of each painting, as well as the meaning and techniques used. We will see not only the most important masterpieces in the Prado, but also some of my favorite and lesser-known pieces. You will enjoy some of the great masters: Bosch, Patinir, Rubens, Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronese, El Greco, Goya, Velázquez ...very impressive! And I have some other special surprises for you :-) My explanations of the legends will give you a fuller perspective of the art, and of Spanish history, overall.

Jul 2021 • Couples
Jamie was our guide, his experience with the art, sculpters and overall knowledge of the museum allowed us to see the exhibits from his professional perspective. We highly recommend Jamie, I wish we had more time with him.

Jamie is the best!
Feb 2020 • Couples
As beginners we were overwhelmed on what to see but Jamie put the entire Prado masterpiece experience and more importantly the relationship to Spanish history in perspective.
Can’t recommend him enough!

The best Prado museum experience
Jaime would be a perfect fit for your Prado tour in particular and Madrid tour in general. He is:

*knowledgeable of art, history and culture
*interesting and funny
*clear and organized

We had the most amazing couple of hours at the Prado museum with Jaime. He walked us through the museum's highlights, as well as select masterpieces. All is done while connecting to Madrid's and Spain's history.

We always prefer focused, professional tours in large museums as you might get lost and waste tons of time on your own.

This was one of the best tours ever.

JAIME IS THE BEST PRADO TOUR GUIDE!
Dec 2019
We visited The Prado museum as a family of 6 - youngest 17 years old. We decided to use a tour guide since the museum is huge and our time was limited. Jaime was definitely the right choice. Jaime's selections to show us were perfect. The Museum was crowded and he knew exactly how to navigate the crowds and get us up front to view the pieces. Jaime's knowledge and passion helped to create a deeper appreciation for the Prado Museum. For such a large museum we got great feel for the artwork. He was able to engage our entire family. Jaime is definitely full of surprises!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

💎💎 Awesome tour to a world art treasury! 💎💎
Dec 2019
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✅- well-thought and perfectly organized, covering the key jewels from the heart of the Museum of Prado
✅- bewitching and inspiring, authentic tour
✅- professional, engaging, attentive and caring
✅- memorable priceless experience
✅- no need to have deep background in history or art to understand and feel why the Museum is so special
✅- time-saving, in 3h you discover what you wouldn’t do in 9h by your own (and it feels like 10 mins!)
✅- deep life-changing art influence, you will never be the same

And here we are, 10 minutes before the tour. The statue Goya is amiably and majestically welcoming us at the north entrance! He has already seen a lot of visitors in 100+ years, but for everyone of us this time is so special.

🔴Our tour guide Jaime Sánchez is already greeting and leading us through the magnificent labirints of hundreds of halls, discovering for us the legends and secrets of Spanish and world art, breathtaking like Velázquez, graceful like Tiziano, incredible like El Greco, trembling and heartbreaking like Goya, detailed and realistic like Rubens, sophisticated and inspiring like Bosch…

🔴Jaime’s deep background and knowledge, endearing dedication and crazy passion convert this tour into an exciting dialog where everyone can participate, find out more, ask their questions. He is not doing it like any job, it’s a Mastery, it’s a genius... Does it worth it? It worth much more than that, I swear to you!!

🔴While other visitors and just watching, with the help of Jaime we are already examining unbelievably gorgeous and stunning birds at The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch. Have never noticed them before and absolutely love them!! Great and profound sense in small perfectly detailed features, imageries and metaphors... Feel very privileged to be a part of Jaime’s group and see what is hidden..

🔴Literally the best in the world Museum with a 200-year unique history, one of the reasons many people come to Madrid, it’s absolutely impossible to describe with the words this feeling of time, space and seeing greatest art pieces, that come alive, you look at them and the heart beats faster, feeling a part of author’s soul, empathizing to characters and finding yourself in some of illustrated situations. With the help of Jaime it’s made possible.

👋🏻And that’s it? Already? Saying goodbye to Goya and Jaime and promising to be back. Prado Museum has my heart. After all this time? Always...

Save Time, hire a guide who will take you to what you want to see and knows how to avoid the lines and crowds
Dec 2019
We had done some research and had been to Madrid before so we knw a little of what we wanted to see. We hired Jaime and really appreciated how he made the tour fun for all of us. We told him what we were interested in seeing and he delivered.

Incredible Experience!
In my experience, visiting a museum as large as El Prado can be a real headache. I want to see and learn everything, so most of the time I end up tired, lost and frustrated because I did not find what I was looking for. Visiting El Prado with Jaime was enriching. We could see the most important work displayed at a leisurely pace, with a simple explanation dotted both with historical anecdotes and Jaime’s unique perspective and extensive knowledge on the subject. It was a great experience which I most certainly recommend

Marvelous Tour!!
Nov 2019
As a college art history major, I was especially looking forward to our visit to the Prado Museum during our Madrid visit. It was my lucky day when I stumbled across this guided tour. Jaime was the perfect person to lead our group of six seniors through the wonderful Prado. He satisfied my art history background while introducing the five newbies to the world of art in this museum. Time literally flew by!

Not only did Jaime give us a fabulous few hours inside the museum, he also recommended a nearby spot for lunch. This tour is a must do!

Best way to visit Prado in an afternoon
Oct 2019
Jaime made our afternoon in the Prado museum super informative. His knowledge of the artist's biography, the historical facts, the political environment of the time made every work of art come alive to us. This was by fat my best museum visit yet. Thank you Jaime!

Prado tour with jamie
Nov 2019 • Couples
Jamie was absolutely wonderful We met him at the Goya statue outside the museum and we immediately knew we selected the right person for this tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We were able to see many of the museums masterpieces in 2.5 hours. His explanations and background of the paintings and artists added so much to our visit to the museum. I have visited other museums throughout Europe and Jamie was by far the best guide My husband said it was the best tour of our vacation. I highly recommend this tour as it gave us a greater appreciation of the art work and the artists.
