- tanyapY212SD0 contributionsGreat trip to ToledoThe views were amazing. We enjoyed the opportunity to take panoramic pictures of the city from the mirador area. The walking tour of the city was informative and gave us a chance to learn more about the history of the city.Written 20 November 2024

- wmgbush0 contributionsCancelled tour saved by local tour employeeOur tour was canceled the day before but no one contacted us so we found out it was canceled when we showed up for the tour. Fortunately a women at a kiosk who sold tickets to various tours and events made some calls and arranged for a different tour company to put us on a similar tour an hour later. The tour was very good.Written 5 June 2024
- charlesDimartini0 contributionsGreat Intro to Madrid + Royal PalaceWe were a part of a party of 8 and Sergio did a fantastic job. What's great about this tour is that the first 45 minutes are used to get you acclimated to Madrid and its history (instead of "just" touring the museum). The palace itself is much-more impressive than we would have thought - beginning with the fact that it's larger than Versailles. The porcelain room (every square inch from floor to ceiling) is quite unique. This is a great walking tour, especially soon after arriving into Madrid.Written 22 May 2024
- GlobeTrotting3159820 contributionsHorrible and unreliable. No showShowed up for my tour one hour early. The guide never showed up at 1 as arranged completely frustrated. This is ridiculous. Did not get to see the Prado museum, really disappointed, paid in full.Written 26 April 2024
- Aidacurtis0 contributionsA quick Prado overviewDavis was fantastic. We went in early beat the crowds and he was wonderful explaining the art. He had a pad - that he had pictures highlighting points of the art. He was amazing in putting in context the who I royalty and when in time the art was commissioned. All around greatWritten 11 March 2024
- jme070 contributionsRoyal Palace TourTour and tour guide were great. I mistakenly booked a tour in Spanish, but our tour guide seamlessly provided the tour in both English and Spanish. Even though it was my mistake, our tour guide made us feel most welcome and worked hard to provide a wonderful experience for all the attendees. We were also supposed to tour the Cathedral after the palace, but our children were hungry and our tour guide provided several local lunch options, which were not super touristy. Palace is beautiful and highly recommend this tour.Written 1 March 2024
- amyfier0 contributionsVery special segway tour for me and my husbandIt was my first time on a segway!! The tour was great and a bit special in a way that it was just me, my husband and the tour guide :D He was very kind and sweet and we had a great time with him going around the city.Written 22 January 2024

- T5874ZNsusanf0 contributionsSuperb trip, great valueChristina our guide met us promptly as agreed and we were shown to a high quality small bus. Mainly Spanish speakers but this in no way detracted from tour as full translations were given. The tour took place at a moderate speed, easy enough to keep up for those of us a little slow but not excessive. Lots of steps of differing angles so I would not recommend for those with poor knees or mobility issues. Not all have handrails. El Escorial is beautiful beyond description. Look it up before you go.! We stopped in the village for a quick coffee and can recommend the small patisserie cafe Alaska for a takeaway. The orange crème patisserie filled mini donuts were delicious The valley of the fallen was interesting but I wish we had spent more time at the monastery as we didn’t get to see the gardens. We did however see an eagle soaring above the park. My only other criticism would be that we only had time to visit the tiny bookshop at the valley of the fallen not at El Escorial. I would have liked to see more souvenirs as no pictures are allowed inside. We liked Christina very much. She was informative and able to answer many questions including about Spanish current affairs. Monica is an excellent driver and made the journey comfortable. In summary, it was an excellent, well organised tour at a very good price. Communication was very good. I would strongly recommend.Written 31 October 2023

- Danny23020 contributionsExcellent adventureThis was an excellent trip - a short bus ride to find oneself in a bygone time, with wonderful views all around. We chose this tour because there was time to wander around, visiting churches, synagogues, the El Greco-Roman museum etc. We got lost looking for the mosque. But that was part of the fun, wandering through the narrow streets.Written 28 October 2023
- S4061LOtristanl0 contributionsPalace Tour FeedbackWe had an excellent visit to the Palace! Our tour guide was excellent and took special care of our group. He gave out special recommendations for each member and went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent tour. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting the best experience in Madrid. The palace was great but our tour guide made the entire experience.Written 27 October 2023

Good tour overall. Hope to see some improvements. The check-in staff from Viajes Gran Vía didn't announce who they are when they met us. They were silence during the bus ride, to and from Toledo. It would be a great opportunity to talk to us about the history of the city. The local tour guide joined us after we arrived on Toledo. He spoke so fast, in both Spanish and English; always ran out of time.
We always join walking tour in every city we visit with English speaking tour guide for the group. The tour guides always introduce themselves and have every customer details on their phone, so they can provide information after the tour, such as what to do/see, where to eat. This group has none of that. We sincerely hope Viajes Gran Vía management can observe what others do, and improve. We do not feel bi-lingual tour is the most effective in absorbing the information provided in very short period of time.
