Johan knows his stuff and makes the experience relaxed and totally enjoyable, especially as a solo participant. I will certainly book another tour with him!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Johan and Valencia Wine Tours. We had a group of us from a cruise that wanted to visit wine country. Johan was so willing to work with us and take us where we wanted. I emailed him so many times with questions from the group and every time he responded very quickly and patiently. I have never worked with a tour operator so personable and responsive. With all this said, the disappointment was that right before the day we were to tour, Valencia had devastating flooding and our cruise line cancelled the port stop. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were. I have no doubt it would have been wonderful. Even after all of this, he was the one that kept contacting us to get us our refund. A number one, class act. You cannot go wrong with this tour and Johan as your guide.

The most amazing wine tasting, with delicious wines and the most serene setting! So knowledgable but also set the perfect setting to relax and chat with friends and not feel too overbearing. Would 100% find Johan again and have already recommeded to all my family.

What a fun trip. Johan was able to accommodate my kids so we could all venture out. Went to two wineries and lunch. I would say looking back, wish we could have tried more wines even if smaller pours and each venue and a third would allow more comparison. The first winery felt more like a tasting, the second one was definitely more “family run”. Thank you Johan!

We had a wonderful wine tour with Johan. He is extremely knowledgeable on wine generally, and especially in relation to Spain's wineries and wine history. He was also able to answer our many questions about Valencia and its surrounding areas. Our tour concluded with a delicious meal in a local, non touristic restaurant that was just fantastic. Johan was so informative, knowledgeable and made the experience so enjoyable! It was more than just a tasting; he provided generous glasses of each of the four wines that we tried. We had a cava, a white and two reds as well as some delicious cheese. We learned so much about Spanish wines and wine making.

I would highly recommend Johan for a day tour to understand more about the wine production at Requena. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the wine making process, whats unique to the region and the challenges they face, and we learnt a lot from his sharing.
