About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- donnahO6791WL0 contributionsTraveling the Amalfi coast via road.Brilliant tour guy. Went out of his way to show us everything, nothing was too much. Well organized. Paid extra to be collected from hotel and was worth every penny. Thanks Michal(Mike in English)Written 27 October 2024
- Kilimeruimages0 contributionsVery simple processSaved myself 50% by using Tempio. Very easy to book and pay at Sorrento train station. All tickets put in an enveloped and all explained before we boarded the train. Non pushy.Everything went seamlessly.Written 20 October 2024
- S1510PZchrisw0 contributionsReasonable experience but ridiculously over-pricedWe did a tour of Pompeii on one day and a trip up Mt Vesuvius the next day. Both were fine in their own way but the cost of each is ridiculous for what you get. For instance, we paid just over 30 Euro each for a ticket which cost the company 18 Euro - this turned out to be an Express ticket so we couldn't visit the whole of the site. Admittedly, we did get an audio guide but the cost is still unjustifiable. The Vesuvius trip was also annoying as tour companies appear to buy up all the available tickets and this leads none to be bought by the general public. This led to us pay 35 Euros each for an entrance ticket and bus trip which in total would have come to about 15 Euros. Unfortunately, this is fairly common in this part of Italy where you have to pay through the nose to do pretty much anything. We've been to most areas of Italy over the years and loved it. We certainly won't be coming back to Naples and the Amalfi coast again.Written 8 October 2024
- L1926GKtaylorp0 contributionsWorst customer serviceIf I could rate this zero I would. Do not purchase any tickets from sorrentotickets.info. I booked a tour and got two confirmation emails. Their tour excursion book and both emails say "hotel" pick up accommodation. Nowhere in the emails did it state to look for a third email to confirm the correct pickup location. This third email that I never knew to look for based on the communication given to me went to spam as it was from an employee, so the address got flagged as it was from Italy vs the company email I originaly received just fine. I reached outed around 0715 trying to understand what l needed to do to get on the tour. By that time they were able to confirm that the only way to get on the tour was to go to the marina, as they kept staying they were figuring it out it was 0805. I needed to be at the marina at 0815 and the taxi was a 24 minute taxi drive. When I spoke to the manager she stated it was my fault, that the provider tried to call me many times, which is in fact incorrect, I tried to show them they wanted nothing to do with me or help me, and that I should have known to get to the marina from my hotel. I only wanted a refund but they cannot issue one as it is “my fault”. The manager refused to give me her manager/owner information to try to resolve further. Customer service is terrible and its all a scam if you "mess up" DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR TIME or MONEY. First two images or what “multiple calls” from vendor mean. The 3rd and 4th is when I reached out to try to find a solution to then being told to get a taxi.Written 30 September 2024

- anitaf540 contributionsPositano by Night TourWe did the Positano by night tour on 4th Sept. It was amazing. It’s the best way to see Positano. It’s a lot quieter than during the day and it looks so beautiful at night. Our driver Nello was brilliant. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic he made it a magical night.Written 8 September 2024
- LightPacker5189560 contributionsTimeOur driver was not very nice. The tour was suppose to be for 4 hours and we were gone for 6.5. The driver dropped us at a garage and said he would be back at 11. Plan to be gone much longer than expected if you are on a full schedule like we were.Written 21 August 2024
- Red-Barchetta20110 contributionsGreat Tour would recommendThis tour company is right at the Sorrento Train station. We were planning on taking the circumvesuviana train and exploring Pompeii on our own. The tour organizers were outside asking people if the wanted to do a toru and after talking to him we decided to do the skip the line tour and I am glad we did. We booked tour and took train and met a designated spot at the train station in Pompeii. We were very glad we did the tour. It was informative and also they take you to the spots that are of most interest. The archeological digs cover a big area and the tour allowed us to be efficient. Once tour is done you can stay and continue to explore. There is a cafe on the site and was nice to get the overview and than explore more. Would recommend to take a tour and this one did a nice job.Written 3 July 2024

- Sue M0 contributionsAmalfi last minute tourWe did the Amalfi coast last minute tour, which was meant to have photo stops, but we had none. The 2 stops were meant to be 2 hours each, the first stop was one hour and 40 minutes. When we reached Amalfi the driver tried to get us all to eat in a restaurant, that was a 30 euros minimum charge.Written 6 June 2024
- Funshine03230 contributions‼️ 😡 DO. NOT. DO. BUSINESS. WITH. TEMPIO. TRAVEL. STAY FARRR AWAY!! 😡‼️‼️😡 DO. NOT. DO. BUSINESS. WITH. Tempio Travel Sorrento. Ineffective communication lead us on a wild goose chase to 3 different meeting points (directions were all supplied by their staff) which ultimately lead to us missing the entire Lemon Tour and now they refuse to refund us the €150. The ONE & ONLY bad experience we’ve had in Italy. STAY AWAY!!‼️😡 #badbusiness #ripoff #unethical #tempiotravelsorrento #chicagothebandWritten 24 May 2024
- johncV77PO0 contributionsAllow more time and don't tell people something is included when it isn't. Shame. We bought a package today for a family of 5. It was to include entrance to Pompei, train tickets both ways for Sorrento, shuttle to and from Mount Vesuvius plus entrance to Mount Vesuvius. The shuttle driver was excellent. However when we went to enter Pompei we were told our entrance fee was not paid for. We ended up having to pay 90 euros more for our 5 tickets. Also we arrived at Mount Vesuvius at 4:30 and we were told we had to leave by 5:40. We did the marvellous hike but coming back to the shuttle, half way on the hike, I fell and severely injured my left hand knee because I was rushing to get back. We r hoping because of this it does not ruin our holiday. ALLOW more time for the hike. That way your clients won't rush and end up hurting themselves like me. Also don't tell people something is included if it isn't. That is not good for business. We will think twice before we use your services again.Written 23 May 2024
- 541sarahs0 contributionsWorth using this companyWe actually used this company for 5 individual trips - Pompeii, Herculean, Vesuvius, Almafi coast/Positano and exclusive boat to Capri. Absolutely spot on. So helpful at the desk in Sorrento , and very chatty. Explaining the best options for us. Couldn’t recommend anyone better. The exclusive boat was the best as was pick up and drop off from where we were staying - drinks and snacks on board. The guys we had on the boat made the day. Also the guide on Capri so funny, friendly and made the whole day memorableWritten 16 May 2024
- Passenger7432610 contributionsScenery, Driver, Experience - 5 Stars. Positano & Amalfi - just OK!After our ferry boat excursion was cancelled due to rough seas, we managed to book two last-minute seats in this 8-passenger tour — and we ended up being so glad that the boat cancelled!! This was a wonderful way to explore the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi. Our driver was extremely professional and a great driver as well. Stopped at a couple key overlook points along the way and gave us 1&1/2 hours in both Positano and Amalfi — which were interesting but frankly, nothing we would ever consider booking a stay in! The tourists — even in late April — were overwhelming. But the scenery along the Amalfi Coast is unparalleled and the 7 hour round trip was worth every minute and every $ spent! Highly recommend this small, intimate, excellent trip.Written 26 April 2024
- FenechAlan0 contributionsTempio Travel - the best way to tour the Amalfi Coast and Surroundings. With Tempio Travel we did 3 different tours: 1. Amalfi Coast Tour 2. Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius 3. Capri Exclusive Boat Tour The company is very efficient, well organized and the employees very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. 1. The Amalfi Coast Tour is basically transport to Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento with free time in each place. The places are otherwise very difficult to visit in one day unless you have a car, but driving in the area with the narrow winding roads is a nightmare, so the tour is a great option. 2. For the Pompeii tour we had an excellent guide, Maria, who was extremely knowledgeable and gave us some very interesting information and facts. The visit to Mount Vesuvius is exciting and amazing, but one must be prepared for a rather tough climb by trek if he/she wants to reach the summit of the gran cono crater. 3. Antonio, Giuseppe and Luciano were not only very friendly and helpful but also very entertaining making our trip to Capri a great experience.Written 4 April 2024

After reading a few negative reviews I was a little dubious about booking this trip but we had a great visit to Herculaneum. The train journey was explained to us at the station and we had our own carriage on the "tourist/express" train. Stops were clear and there were helpful staff on board. Herculaneum is a straightforward 10 min walk from the station and we were met at the entrance by our guide, Fabio. He spoke good English and gave us a thorough understanding of what Herculaneum was like before the eruption. The site is a lot more intact than Pompeii and I enjoyed it more. The train back to Sorrento was on time and although no carriage was reserved, there were plenty of seats. A holiday highlight!

This trip was so well organised. The ticket office was right next to Sorrento station so couldn’t have been easier to pick up the tickets, get our instructions and head to the train station. The train station is a bit hectic but by only opening one door per carriage meant everyone with a ticket could get on and get a seat. Even if it wasn’t the seat we were allocated initially.
The guide, Danilo, was waiting for us at Herculaneum as instructed and sorted us all out with ear pieces. Sadly mine didn’t work but I didn’t realise until I got in so make sure you check them thoroughly! Danilo was very knowledgeable about the site and interspersed humour with facts. The site is fabulously preserved and we much preferred it to Pompei as we felt we could see everything in those two hours whereas Pompei is sprawling, still has work going on and scaffolding and too many crowds.
We loved this trip. It really felt like you were in a village and could see how the people lived
We were a group of 4-my son of 9 and my 70 year old parents. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it,

Jul 2023 • Couples
We booked this after seeing the brochure but were charged ten euros more than advertised and told it was a "misprint".The 'special train' we were promised to Ercalano was awful being fenced off with other random passengers then as trains on strike that day left worrying when it stopped a few times (tour company still happily took our euros a few days ago knowing about this!) We had to guess where to get off and I felt very sick but no clear sign of train toilets.Herculaneum was a 10 min walk from the station and there was only us and another couple (despite being told they needed 8 for the tour??)Guide very knowledgeable and the tour itself was good but the train journey and extra cost awful. We had an issue with train ticket resolved ourselves later but Rick the manager of the tour company said he would email the very next day (he didn't).Not impressed with how the company were dishonest to people nor the awful train journey.
