About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sonia A0 contributionsAwesomeIt was our first time ever on a vespa and moped. It was quite thrilling and adventurous for us and Caroline made it all the more special for us. She kept us entertained and riveted with the history and anecdotes. I would definitely recommend it!!Written 2 October 2024
- Rangernessa0 contributionsAwesome way to Explore NaplesI had a fabulous time and Alberto was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about his city and when things didn’t go quite to plan with road barricades he improvised and delivered a wonderful experience. I was able to experience the city in an entirely different way as he expertly drove through the traffic. Definitely been a highlight of my trip. I really enjoyed his restaurant recommendation at the end too. :)Written 29 September 2024
- awkbrittany0 contributionsA once in a lifetime experience in the most beautiful place!WOW! This was the experience of a lifetime and I can’t recommend it enough. You will see unbeatable views of the coast that you won’t be able to find on your own, and you’ll learn about the towns and people and sights while doing so. We actually had already stopped in Amalfi and Positano on our own prior to the tour, and we still felt like this trip was more than worth our while to see more of these places - do not overlook this one!! They picked us up at our stay in Sorrento and dropped us off at the end of the day; it was a perfect agenda of beautiful sights with no planning needed our Our guides were Alberto and Emilio and they were absolutely wonderful; skilled drivers, top notch tour guides, and very friendly and nice to spend a day with. For me, it was a bit of a scary experience on the vespas, though my partner was only nervous at the start, however our guides did a great job reassuring us and keeping us safe during the drives. Overall, I really recommend booking this adventure to make your trip the best it can be! Such a great tour - enjoy it.Written 28 September 2024
- Fazer4620150 contributionsBest way to see NepaliAmazing start to our trip to Nepali, learnt and saw so much in 4 hours. Peppe was extremely knowledgeable and full of energy. Felt completely safe even in the Napoli traffic! (We did have helmets provided to.)Written 22 September 2024
- hollysW6314PR0 contributionsBrilliant!! Best trip ever!!We had a wonderful tour with our fabulous guide Sara and driver Antonio. They were both so friendly and helpful. The tour was organised through our cruise ship and we decided to treat ourselves as it was our honeymoon. The tour was perfect. It was lovely to have a private tour just for the two of us and it could be tailored to what we wanted to see. Sara showed us the highlights of Naples and helped to translate for us when we wanted to make some purchases. Antonio took some beautiful photos, which were sent to us following the tour. If I come back to Naples, I would definitely do the tour again! The Fiat 600 was so cute. We felt truly special as we whizzed around Naples in the little car, we felt like royalty! Such a special memory. If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Sara and Antonio!!Written 27 May 2024
- 222sallyl0 contributionsFantastic experience you can't miss!!!From.start to finish this companies customer service was amazing, quick replies to emails with questions, to the booking process. On the day before tour it was communicated to me who my guide would be and contact details provided. On the day of tour my guide Alberto and a driver Luigi greeted me, they were friendly and welcoming. Albertos english was amazing and his local and archeological/historical knowledge were fantastic and very interesting. We had a great day, driving around some beautiful places of intrest. Luigi s driving was careful and experienced. Thanks guys for an amazing tour I will definitely book you again when I'm back in Naples.Written 20 May 2024

- Athens850 contributionsSimply amazing, great tour!First of all a big thanks to Raffaella of the main office in organizing the half day tour with a Fiat 600. Raffaella was very helpful in preparing an half day through Posillipo/Chiaia and Marechiaro. As the car could enter the downtown very was located our hotel the very super friendly guide Sara come to pick us at the hotel. Then on foot we reached the car where we found our driver Antonio. Both Antonio and Sara were very friendly during the tour explaining everything about the city, etc. Also, very helpful in giving us tips like a true “napoletano”…. Great tour in a very special old and vintage car. At the end of the our you even get a small bottle of Olive oil and do not forget the magical “pit Stop” with espresso and Sfogliatella! Strongly recommend this company very professional and friendly people: a big thanks once again to Sara, Antonio and Raffaella!Written 29 February 2024
- Miguel Angel A0 contributionsGreat tour. The guide change of Vespa tour to a Fiat500 tour because of the bad weather (rain). The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see a good chunk of the city and its cool spots. Recommended.Written 24 October 2023
- MelanieW50 contributionsThe perfect way to see the best of NaplesWe had booked the shorter Young Tour as were only visiting for the weekend. It was fantastic from start to end. Met at our B&B by our guide and the team of drivers, we felt very welcomed as we got sorted with helmets. The tour was pitched perfectly by our guide who was friendly and warm. It was the ideal way to see the key sights of Naples: the churches, Nativity St, castles, theatre and palace. A stop at Gambinus for an espresso and the must-tried sfogliatelle (delicious), followed by a drive out to see the views of Posillipo. Considering the chaos of the traffic we were amazed to feel so at ease on the Vespas. The drivers were friendly and the whole morning couldn't have been better. Thank you all. We would love to book a different tour if we visit again. Cannot recommend highly enough!Written 17 September 2023
- KateG13020 contributionsBest Vespa tour on the coast - MUST DO!100% MUST DO on the Amalfi Coast. We had two fantastic drivers, Emanuele and Guillerme, who know the streets inside out and did the best job showing us the area. We always felt 100% safe. Emanuele was super professional, very friendly, and told us so many things about the Amalfi Coast, its history, people, etc. - so we really learned a lot. We did many stops we would have missed if we weren‘t with them, and the best thing about not being in the driver seat is that we had so much time to look around, admire the views, take pictures, and just focus on the beauty of the scenery. I would absolutely recommend this tour, we had also looked at other providers but this one was just perfect from the first communication all the way through to the end of the tour, when we received even a small gift :-) It‘s the best way to explore the coast, see various towns, and learn about the beautiful area. Do it! You will not regret it :-)Written 1 July 2023
- ashhh09340 contributionsRiding around AmalfiThe tour was incredible! We had an amazing time with our drivers Vincenzo and Giuseppe and really got to see so much; riding the Vespa is truly the best way to see the coast. The company overall was very accommodating and very easy to communicate with. I only have positive things to say about this experience and highly recommend it. If you are debating whether to book or not, absolutely do because you will not regret it!Written 26 May 2023
- emilygJ9077WY0 contributionsBest part of the trip - Carolina is amazingThis tour was the highlight of our trip. My fiancé and I spent a whole day with Carolina on a private Amalfi coast Vespa tour. He drove his own vehicle while I rode with Carolina. She tailored the day for us based on our interests, showed us so many fun areas, provided a lot of advice and tips, and was such a blast to be with. She even took us on a little hike, which wasn’t part of the tour but fit in our personal interests! And found us an amazing lunch spot in Maiori. Throughout the day it honestly felt like 3 friends hanging out. It’s been such a rainy trip and we got lucky with good weather - were so glad we spent our 1 day in good weather with Carolina!!Written 17 May 2023
- gordonrI3509ZZ0 contributionsThrilling introduction to Napoli on a classic VespaWe did the shorter tour and wished we had booked the longer trip. What a wonderful introduction to the crazy chaotic (in a good way) city of Napoli. Emanuele, ably assisted by fellow driver Emanuele, took us on a whistlestop tour around the city. Travelling by Vespa in the Napoli traffic was thrilling and has been a lifelong ambition. Despite if feling a little scary at times we felt in very safe hands. But that's not all there is to this trip, it was punctuated by some walking to some amazing sites - historic and stunning churches, coffee and the most delicious pastries in the historic Cafe Gambrinus, culminating in a visit to the most stunning viewpoints of the city. Emanuele was a knowladgeble and very engaging host who brought the city to life. A fantastic few hours. HIghlight of the holiday and would highly recommend. - Alison Q0 contributionsTruly amazingWhat an amazing experience . Carolina our guide and Giovanni our driver were both very professional and made us feel very safe . The Vespas were awesome and driving into Positano and Amalfi ( bypassing all the tour buses and traffic ) took my breath away . We pulled in at great viewing points where Carolina took some fab photos of us . We got lots of information and good tips from Carolina , the coffee and cake was delicious. Would highly recommend this tour.Written 9 May 2023

Private Tour: Amalfi Coast by Vintage Vespa from Positano
We loved the Vespa riding itself! Good drivers. Safe drivers. Enjoyable people. Couldn’t have been nicer to us. Fun, fun, fun!
Our tour started about ten to fifteen minutes late in Positano, because, although the three of us arrived early, the directions to meet were not quite accurate. The leader wasn't allowed next to the garage where we were told to meet, and we did not pick him out on the street around the corner as he didn't have the Vespas nearby. I made contact with the office to help us find each other. However, this apparently meant we were late for the Emerald Cave tour, which we did not learn until later, and it was a costly tour error. When we arrived at the cave, we had to wait for the next tour, and the whole thing took an HOUR of our Vespa time – an extra 30 minutes! The whole thing came to about $160 riding time + $24 in entrance fees! This Emerald Cave is totally a tourist trap! Ask to skip it! I wish it had been explained and that we had been given a choice to go or not go. I thought we would make up for some of this wasted time at the end of the tour, but unfortunately, that did not happen. It only rushed the day’s itinerary.
The guided spots were a beautiful bridge with swimming area, the outside of the Amalfi Cathedral with a stop for coffee and delizia al limone (delicious), and one beautiful overlook terrace. Riders are sent on their own to the Emerald Cave and to Villa Rufolo in Ravello (separate costs).
Danillo pointed out a good lunch spot in Ravillo where we were given one hour to tour Villa Rufolo and to dine. The time was way too short and very, very rushed for the villa and lunch both. In fact, the man in the restaurant surprised me with a free limoncello, because he said we needed to slow down and enjoy! I only wish we could have. The food was so amazing! I had to ask Danillo for extra time to pop into the ceramic shop, which was cheerfully granted, but the tour ended at the slotted time anyways.
We did not “explore” Positano. We just rode through it. “Visit Positano with a walk in the center between boutiques and craft shops, before getting off at the beach to enjoy the famous views of the colorful village of Positano.” Never happened.
Neither did we receive a “typical Neopolitan gift,” as stated on the tour page of included items.
We did not stop for any Vespa rider photos at any known photographic spots. I wish we had. A real loss. Maybe the drivers could suggest some spots in the future?
Recommendation to the company: Show the riders a timeline before starting so that there can be better communication and use of time. I think the drivers are people of integrity and really want to please the customer.

My tour was billed as a Fiat ride from the port in Naples and a Vespa tour of Sorrento and Positano. The driver of the car and the driver of the Vespa were both very friendly and professional. However the Fiat turned out to be a Mercedes. I was disappointed because a Fiat is what I wanted as it fit the location and I love them. I asked why the change but was not clear about the answer since the driver's English was thick with Italian accent. Then I was also surprised to learn that the Vespa portion of the day was only the portion between Sorrento and Positano. The entire return trip was in the Mercedes again. So I felt I got the "bait and switch" but I was still happy with the beauty of the region and had a good day.

Hi Joanne,
we learn with great disappointment and sadness your Tripadvisor review.
We are really sorry that the experience has been not of your liking but, for justice, I want to specify some things:
We have never sold a Vespa Tour + Fiat Tour since NapolinVespa was born.
Our customers can choose between Vespa, Fiat or Ape Tour.
Your request was for a customized Vespa Tour. If you believed that there would be a Vespa and also a Fiat, I'm sorry to say, but it was your supposition.
I am sure that you keep in your mailbox our email but, in case you have not these email, here I'm writing you the text of my first email which tells you clearly what the tour includes. You will not find the Fiat (also because Fiat, like Vespas, is not able to make transfers from Naples to Sorrento and again from Sorrento to Naples... it's a too long trip for vehicles of the 50s and 60s, which I also told you in my first mail).
… "Our Sorrento Peninsula and Positano Vespa Tour for 1 person includes:
1) 1 VINTAGE VESPA in perfect working conditions
2) 1 tour guide authorized in the requested language (who drives)
3) Helmet with disposable liner
4) Coffee break with a taste of the typical Delizia al Limone, a local pastry (or whatever you prefer) in a nice and relaxing Cafè in Sorrento
5) access to Limoncello laboratory and liqueur tasting
6) One typical Neapolitan hand made gift
7) Pick up and drop off at your hotel
8) Two-way transfer from/to Naples by PRIVATE CAR with driver" …
The "bait and switch" expression deeply hurt us because we are honest and righteous people and we try to offer our customers unforgettable experiences that will make them able to bring in the heart a handful of us and of our beloved land forever. We condemn the cheats that are too often offered to tourists during travel (it has unfortunately happened also to us). That's why we work with the soul and heart to make NapolinVespa a clean pearl. We are light years away from selling "bait and switch".
You can receive the proof of our extreme kindness from the fact that, I think you will remember it, on that day you broke with your knee the back light of the blue Vespa and we never absolutely imagined to ask you a refund for 50.00 euros (the price of the Vespa Piaggio original piece that we paied to buy it) for the damage.
This is because we know the value of hospitality, kindness and friendship with those who do not know your land.
We are sorry that we were not appreciated in this, but, on the contrary, to have been publicly accused us of deceiving you.
We all work with the greatest commitment every hour of the day all year round to satisfy our customers and take care of all the details of their day in Naples.
