What to expect
  • Meet your guide at the port of either Naples or Sorrento and board a hydrofoil boat to reach Capri. Disembark in Capri's main port and, weather permitting, hop into a small boat in order to see the Blue Grotto. Admire the glowing blue water of this sea cave, known as the Grotta Azzurra in Italian, that is large inside but has a very narrow opening through which only small boats can pass. Travel with your guide to Anacapri by way of some less-traveled roads – including the so-called 'Mamma Mia Road' full of switchbacks. Have your camera ready to capture the views from this cliffside road. Take a 10-minute ride on the chairlift to Monte Solaro from Anacapri to enjoy stunning views over the whole island from its highest point. Look for Mt Vesuvius and the islands of Ischia and Procida in the distance. Visit Anacapri's Villa San Michele, a former private home with verdant gardens built for a Swedish writer and doctor. Wander the gardens to see ancient artifacts alongside flowers and lemon trees. Continue to La Piazzetta, also known as Chiazza, a square lined with boutiques and cafes. Finish your tour with a visit to Augustus Gardens, the former home of an early 20th-century German steel manufacturer called Friedrich Alfred Krupp. Enjoy a visit to the gorgeous gardens on the estate, which are open to the public, to get a view of Capri's famous rock formations known as I Faraglioni. Take advantage of some free time after the garden visit to explore on your own before heading back to the mainland.

Capri and blue grotto tour
May 2019 • Couples
This day trip was an absolute highlight of our time in Sorrento. Very organised, amazing day! The blue grotto was exhilarating and we had such a good guide that we got there by land (secret skip the cue) then off to Annacapri which was breathtaking. No time was wasted the day went very fast and we saw everything. A absolute must to do!!!

Capri and Ana Capris
Oct 2018 • Couples
This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide Fabrizio was outstanding and very knowledgable of the island. He was promptly waiting for us at the port and quickly got us on our way! We toured the island in a convertible car and had the best sites. Rode the chairlift to the top of Ana Capris and saw breathtaking views up top. A must see! The blue grotto was closed so we toured the island in a boat and got to see a lot of the Caves along the way. Definitely worth the money and the guide was very accommodating and pleasant to be with. We had a blast!

Beautiful Capri
Oct 2017 • Couples
We met Luigi early in the morning outside Hotel I'll Faro in Sorrento. He had us remain at a certain spot on the pier as we waited for the other members of our tour. He had already bought our tickets and had us ready to go onto the next ferry to Capri.

The first stop was the Blue grotto (we were fortunate that it was open) where we boarded small boats to get inside. It was very dark, but were able to take photos of the famous blue water.

Next was Anacapri ,the views from the island were spectacular. The villas perched alongside the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking. We got to Anacapri, there is a chair lift that will take you to the top of the island. Luigi had bought our tickets. Because we were there so early, there were no lines. In about 15 minutes we reached the top. We were able to see some of the neighboring islands, the Bay of Naples, the Gulf of Salerno and Sorrento.

Upon our return, we saw why Luigi wanted us to go when we did. The line to go on the chair lifts had already grown into a 20-30 minute wait. Luigi gathered us as we walked down a beautiful tree-lined sidewalk for lunch. After an hour, as we were leaving the restaurant, there was another line to get into it. Luigi really planned this out well for us.

He then gave us a tour of Anacapri, as we walked by designer shops, had a free sampling of limoncello, saw the store where you could order designer sandals, that they could make for you in about 45 minutes. We then walked to a viewpoint where the old Greek steps could take you down to the waters edge in about 2 hours of descending, but it was closed off due to recent rocks falling.

We then boarded a van and drove down to the town of Capri. Luigi walked us through the busy areas and took us to a less popular area and recommended that we tour the nearby gardens. We then had about 35 minutes to return to the center of town.

We were then handed tickets to take a hillside funicular down to the harbor.

We had some free time before we boarded the ferry and returned to Sorrento. All in all it was a great day. Capri has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Luigis ability to get us positioned where we needed to be, saved us about two hours of wait time during the day, to make everything we were hoping to do possible. He was excellent.
