- Paradise306912979100 contributions1000% Worth it!Booking the tour was so easy, communication was exceptional, and the tour while tailored for the kids was just as beneficial for the adults. Alex kept everyone engaged and we all learned a lot about Pompeii. My kids are still talking about visiting Pompeii and Alex. Alex was very knowledgeable and took great family photos for us! 1000% worth it!Written 5 October 2024
- pvac340 contributionsBest of Italy! My family had a great week in Italy. It included the Coliseum, the Forum, the Vatican, the Amalfi coast, a private boat tour around Capris and a vineyard. When asked what was their favorite experience overall, teenagers and adults all say the same thing “Pompeii because of Alex!”Written 5 October 2024
- Susan V0 contributionsOnly way to Visit Pompeii!Alex is amazing! What we saw and learned in just two hours was perfect. We saw other people walking having no idea what they were looking at, whereby Alex educated us and showed us things beyond my expectation. He also knew how to avoid the crowds so we really could appreciate Pompeii. Throughout the tour he took us through what life was like prior to the eruption and really brought it to life. We felt the life of people in the streets, houses and shops. Alex was informative, fun and extremely knowledgable. Best decision booking this. Thank you Alex!Written 5 October 2024

- ctriplett50 contributionsHighly Recommended!Alex is amazing! Our family learned so much about Pompeii on his tour. Alex is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. He is the best tour guide we've ever had on vacation. If I ever get back to Pompeii I would use him again. I would also highly recommend him to anyone that wants in-depth knowledge of the history of Pompeii, told in a way that's engaging and relatable to most people today.Written 10 September 2024

- Gareth S0 contributionsBest tour guide in Europe! We did a 4.5 month trip around Europe visiting 10 countries and Alex's Pompeii Tour was by far the best tour we did. None of the other tour guides in any other attraction came even remotely close to how good Alex's tour was. He was interesting, informative and kept the kids really engaged and they learnt heaps about Pompeii. Thanks to Alex, Pompeii was our favourite attraction for our whole trip. Thanks Alex for an absolutely amazing experience!Written 10 September 2024
- marias7720240 contributionsThe Most Amazing TourI can't speak highly enough of Alex. His tour was fantastic. We we a group of 7, 3 adults and 4 children ranging ages 9-14. There wasn't a minute of boredom among the group. He was able to speak in both English and Italian to the mixed group. As an educator and a mom, I greatly appreciated the attention to detail and how he was able to keep us all engaged for the full tour. My only regret is that we couldn't take Alex with us to our other tourist spots.Written 4 September 2024
- Tylersmom1230 contributionsHighly RecommendOur 14 year ol son loved it and stayed engaged the whole time. Our family learned so much and had a ton of fun. Alex is the best!Written 4 September 2024
- JonoCAuckland0 contributionsBest kids tour in ItalyAlex is the best kids tour in Italy end of. He was amazing with our son (10years old). The tour was perfectly timed and paced and even in the heat of late afternoon Alex ensured we had shade breaks and water stops - with stories and updates at every pause. The best thing about Alex is this was a kids tour and he was 100% focused on my son and his experience. He would k eel down and talk directly to him and engage him and respect his knowledge, improving and building on what my son already knew and didn’t know. Bravo Alex - after 3 weeks in Italy this is the tour to do!!!Written 4 September 2024
- sstein20240 contributionsExcellent Pompeii tour with excellent guide!Alex is a font of knowledge about Pompeii and makes the entire experience engaging and fun. Our tour with him was a highlight for our family during our time in Italy. He also took us to areas of the site that weren’t crowded (often we were the only ones there), which is quite the feat in August!Written 30 August 2024
- Q5200GQannettem0 contributionsProfessional and personal service….truly great tour! The late afternoon tour with Alex was really enjoyable and informative.. - NorthStar994420 contributionsAlex lives up to the hype! Our family of 4, including 2 boys aged 7 and 8, loved our tour of Pompeii with Alex. From the start, he grabbed their attention and key them engaged leading the exploration. Alex got us off the crowded paths to explore a beautiful Villa and take a peak at the new dig area. Taught us all about the hidden details of history all around us. The 2-hr timeframe was well packed and perfect length, especially with kids and Alex’s efficient and enjoyable methods. So thankful to Alex for this wonderful experience we will cherish in our memories forever.Written 15 June 2024

Hands down, our time spent with Alex at Pompeii was the most fun, informative and educational experience for my almost 11 year old son, Jack and my husband/myself. Our morning started off iffy since my son had to get up early to catch the train from Sorrento to get to Pompeii to meet Alex. He was crabby and not really talking much and wasn't looking forward to going just due to the early nature of the day. His mood/attitude changed within 2 minutes of meeting Alex. His passion, his enthusiasm and how he engaged brought Jack to life.
Alex made it a fun adventure strolling through the 2,000 year old streets of Pompeii. His storytelling truly brought the city to life and the keepsake book he gave Jack helped show what things looked like and what they appear as now. As we were walking through the tour, Jack looked up and said that he was having so much fun and I said why - he just pointed at Alex. No matter what question Jack asked, Alex made him feel like it was the best question in the world. Please do yourself a favor and book a tour with Alex - whether at Pompeii or Herculaneum, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Alex for making history fun for us all!

We booked a 3-hour tour with Alex and it was the best decision we could have made for the three of us. He guided us through some really amazing places, provided us with plenty of information and answered our questions promptly. He literally knows everything about Pompei and that time of history. You can never imagine how interesting this place is, every house, painting, garden and stone tells a story. His very friendly personality and style made the whole experience much more enjoyable than we had expected.
So do yourself a favour, skip the audioguide and contact Alex!

We were in Sorrento for a family wedding and couldn’t miss the chance to visit Pompeii - a bucket list must for us. However with 2 young kids (aged 6 and 3), we needed to find a tour that could accommodate - this was that tour!! As Alex lived in the UK as a child, the language barrier wasn’t an issue and he/his team answered all our questions in advance, even whatsapping us on the day, telling us where to meet and how to identify him.
Upon approval, we bypassed the lengthy queues and he immediately made friends with our kids. Getting them involved and listening to what they had to say (he even gave them souvenirs!)
Not to say that we were left out. We got everything we wanted out of the tour (it truly is fascinating) but having a guide that could be adaptable to kids meant there was one less thing to worry about.
At the end of the tour, Alex felt more like a friend, even suggesting we could message him with any query re Italy we may have (and may need local knowledge). What a guy!!

We just did a kids tour with Alex in Pompeii. He was absolutely amazing, the kids loved it, he held there interest after 3 days of walking around Rome and it was still very interesting for adults. He was very flexible for the times during the day ( I booked far in advance) and he responded very quickly. Absolute must if touring Pompeii.

Hands down one of the best tours we have had in Italy. Alex is very personal, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. The 3 hour tour went by so fast. We learned so much and left very impressed!
If you are hesitant about taking children, don't be! Alex was so patient and engaging with our two year old and always made sure to find shade when stopping to explain the sites.
A tour guide is a must in Pompeii and Alex makes the experience!

This is a must do tour if you have school age kids and are visiting pompeii. Alex kept our 7,9 and 12 year old kids engaged for the whole 2 hours and all the adults learned a lot too. Visiting pompeii would be a waste without Alex's energy and knowledge. Do not hesitate to book this trip.

We had such a wonderful tour with Alex!
So energetic and kept the kids engaged all the time with so many interesting facts, he obviously enjoys giving tours. Incredibly knowledgeable and the most personable guide we have ever met. The kids are still talking about him.
Thank you Alex for such a great day.

The visit was simply magical for both children and adults.
Alex's narrations transport you to a distant time, making you spend 2 hours living in one breath like a wonderful film... being part of the history of more than 2000 years ago in a passionate and engaging way.
Not only the visit but Alex's passion and professionalism will remain in our hearts, it will remain in the hearts of Giosuè (10) and Nicolò (8).
When we decide to see Herculaneum too we will have no doubts about which guide to contact!
Thanks Alex!

We booked a 2-hour private tour with Alex in Pompeii. He was very engaging from the very beginning, he turned the visit into a play date and our son kept having fun while learning about life in ancient Pompeii. Alex treated him to a book about Pompeii. It was a rainy day so we used the umbrella to "bake" pizza in an anciento oven (see picture). I 100% recomend this tour for parents and kids alike.
