- 1Travel back in time to Roman times with a guided tour of Pompeii for small groups led by an archaeologist. Explore for 2 hours this Unesco World Heritage monument with the help of your expert guide, who will take you through the city, preserved thanks to the volcanic ash of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD Enter without queues through the Porta Marina Superiore, one of the seven ancient doors of Pompeii. Walk the main streets and stroll through the Forum, which used to be the heart of the city and the center of public life. From here you can see Mount Vesuvius over the city. Discover buildings such as the basilica (legal and business center), the thermal baths, the temples, the bakery and the Teatro Grande de Pompeya. Listen to the interesting anecdotes of your archaeologist guide, who will explain how the people who lived there were. You can even take a look at the molds of those who were in the city when the volcano erupted. Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy, with approximately 2.5 million visitors annually. After many excavations prior to 1960 that had uncovered most of the city but left it in decay, further major excavations were banned and instead they were limited to targeted, prioritised areas. In 2018, these led to new discoveries in some previously unexplored areas of the city.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- olgatA8475EW0 contributionsLovely cathedral and rooftopsIt’s a lovely looking cathedral, it was our shelter from the sun heat as it was cool inside and peaceful too. We bought a ticket to the rooftops, but unfortunately a person fainted at the rooftop, so we couldn’t move for a long time and couldn’t see the views but some parts of the rooftop that we saw were beautiful.Written 13 August 2024
- beckthoven120 contributionsVery informThis tour was very informative and we got to see a lot of the colosseum because of the skip the line. The other lines were huge. Our guide was very patient and helpful and attentive as well as knowledgeable.Written 7 October 2023

- SophiamO370 contributionsLoved the Food!It was a real food tour. Our guide Carlos did not just shown us the best option but also, he always had a cultural story to tell about the food and the Italian culture. Without our guide we would not even know that some of these foods even exist. I must say now i know why the food is so popularWritten 3 December 2022

- Bety918betyl0 contributionsExtremely InterestingThe guide was outstanding and provided so much information that made the tour awesome, but not overwhelming. Her knowledge was unbelievable, and she brought it to life with a unique sense of humor and vast depth of insight to everything we saw and the background stories behind the sites, structures, and people. I would highly recommend this tour.Written 20 August 2022
- marktravels1230 contributionsScam company and no supportDo NOT use this company. They falsely advertise that this activity includes basilica entrance however all they do is provide you with a 25 euro ticket to doge palace (no guide) for the insane price of 77 euro. Be VERY VERY wary .Written 14 July 2022
- agneskU9429IT0 contributionstricked and ripped offWe had booked a guided tour for the basilica including the cuppola with a SMALL group and skip the line. First, the group was not small (only if you think 25 people is a small group...). Second, it wasn´skip the line. We (of course) had to stand in line as anyone else. Third, after 15 minutes in front of the cathedral, our guide suddenly told us that today there is a service in the church and he won´be allowed to tell us anything IN the church. As on this day it was the feast of corpus christi, I can´t imagine that they didn´t know about it and I´m sure the vatican didn´t just decide in the morning "hey lets have a service today". So I have a strong feeling we have been tricked here... We were also the only ones of our group who had booked the cuppola, the rest was supposed to go the vatican museums afterwards with the guide. So he told us that he is sorry, he can´t go up the cuppola with us to tell us some things because he has to accompany the rest of the group. We then had to stand in line again to buy tickets for the cuppola (which were not included) and that was it. We literally payed a great amount of money for nothing. I´m triying right now to get our money back, so let´s see. But right now, I really cannot recommend this tour operator.Written 29 June 2022
- HannahM00890 contributionsRecommended for History LoversHistory in each and every corners! The booking for the musem voucher went smoothly. We did not have to wait and a great start to an impressive day in the Vatican Museum. We will recommend this to friends - especially on days which may be more crowded.Written 8 April 2022
- wendio8790 contributionsJust BeautifulI and my family was really amazed with the beauti if the Architecte. And regarding the tour i mast say it was well managed, but be sure to plan your trip to the meeting point well as it is located out of Milan center. As for the rest of the trip, rest assured that the guide will provide the best and most informative experience!Written 11 February 2022
- 368jhonp0 contributionsPisa Tower is AmazingIt's a delight to stroll around the area of wonders, not only for the tower but also for the other structures and the entire ambience. It was a fantastic time at their place.Written 2 December 2021
- Thomas K0 contributionsAmazing place. 100% WORTH IT !!!!The tower is a highlight of San Gimignano. It becomes crowded, so go early or late, and avoid weekends if possible. The perforated steel stairs and ladder at the top have a moving visual show that you either adore or find dizziness! Stay for a bit since the breathtaking surroundings are definitely worth it. It's a little bit of a selfie hotspot!Written 25 November 2021
