Small-Group Pompeii with Amalfi Coast Drive and Positano Stop from Rome
From US$208.16
Overview
Pack two of Italy’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites—the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii—into one day on a tour that includes easy round-trip transport from Rome. Your guide knows the best ways to get around Italy and keep you safe when driving along the twisty, hard-to-navigate roads of the Amalfi Coast, leaving you free to focus on the scenery rather than the roads.
What to Expect
Your Pompeii and Amalfi Coast tour picks you up from central Rome. Hop aboard a climate-controlled vehicle, and get ready for the ride to your first stop of the day—Pompeii.

Once you get to the ancient Roman city, meet up with your guide and learn all about the history yourself as you follow your guide around the ancient ruins.

Afterward, your guide takes you down the roads of the Amalfi Coast on a beautiful vista drive. Your guide is an expert navigator, and heads down the roads easily even with the hairpin turns. Your group stops in Positano, where you can enjoy free time wandering the area. You can eat lunch while you’re there if you choose (own expense).

Your Pompeii and Amalfi Coast tour ends with a ride back to where you started the day in Rome.

Great Guide - Poor Information On Changes

I was disappointed that the description stated that the tour was to Positano, I did not find out that we were going to Sorrento instead until we were on the bus headed out. The only reason that I am rating this high is due to...More

Pompeii and Positano in One Day

In mid-September I traveled to Rome three days early, prior to meeting up with an organized tour group. Since my tour would not travel to Pompeii nor Positano, and I was only three hours away, I reserved space on this tour. Although we met a...More

Perfect

This tour was perfect. In every way. The pick up point is easy to get to and easy to find. The bus is clean with a good driver. The tour leader was informative and considerate. The local guide was amazing. Long but amazing day.

Highlight of our trip to Rome

This was a very long day, about 13 hours, but worth it! The Amalfi coast was gorgeous as we expected, but we were surprised by how much we enjoyed Pompeii. It was not really on our radar of things to do, but turned out to...More

The streets of Pompeii have stepping stones that make it easy to cross the street in the rain.

If you are joining the tour by Walk-of-Italy, you meet the group near Republica Station. You can get to the meeting place by Metro. Then you get on a private 21-seater mini bus to Pompeii & Positano. The drive is around 3... More
