A bus tour well worth it
Great value trip. Minibus from central Pompeii to the coach park then a 45 minute (hard but well worth it) to the crater for excellent views.

Don’t bother. Just go and pay at the site. They also have audio guides available. The download guides were not very good
We paid for 2 tickets so the line ticket which was totally unnecessary because there was no line. We also paid for audio downloads and only one of the two were accessible. The audio guide we did get did have information on most of the Sites we visited.

    Terrible, don’t book this tour
We loved walking the ruins of Pompeii. The actual park was pretty incredible to see. We purchased skip the line, audio guide tour tickets for our family of four through this Trip Advisor tour. We were charged almost $200 total, which we paid in full when purchasing here in advance on Trip Advisor. When we arrived in Pompeii, we realized you don’t need skip the line tickets (there were no lines due to many easy, quick entries) and that our two children would have been free. We could’ve purchased the tickets right at Pompeii the day of, for a total of 38 euros for our family of four. The pick up location for this tour was not at the park entrance, it was in the city center. I had to walk 20 minutes to go pick them up and when I arrived at the address stated on the Trip Advisor booking confirmation, they sent me to not one- but TWO other locations to collect the tickets and audio guides. When I picked up the audio guides that were already paid for and included in the Trip Advisor tour I booked, the girl demanded I give her a credit card (for deposit) and an ID as collateral for the audio guides. This was not written on their tour description on Trip Advisor and they violated policy by requiring this at the time of pick up. She ordered me to sit down at the location and not leave to go on the tour that I already paid for in full via Trip Advisor, until I give her what she wanted. The rest of my family (including two young kids) was waiting in the heat, being prevented by her to begin the tour while she demanded to turn over CC and Passport to hold until returning the audio guides. Obviously, I refused to do that as it’s unsafe and against Trip Advisor policy. I left to go begin the tour I already paid for and she had someone hunt us down inside Pompeii and corner us to demand collateral while using the audio guides we already paid for. It was scary and disturbing. We returned the audio guides (I have written confirmation), and our tour was ruined by them. I highly suggest you don’t book this way and just purchase your tickets when you get to Pompeii. You will save money and have a safe and better experience than me and my family did. This was a complete scam by the tour company and felt dangerous. They don’t follow the rules of Trip Advisor.

BEST TIME TO VISIT ROME IS NOW!
Even if you are the ONLY guest, Francesca and her team are happy to welcome you. My charming guide - I didn't ask for her name, shame on me - was in a superbe motivation to show me in a private tour every corner in Colosseum and Forum Romanum - a very excellent experience! Best time to visit Rome is NOW!

    So Helpful
We worked with Francesca for many of the things we wanted to do while in Rome. She was always smiling, always full of information, and always helpful. She gave us tips on the best way to see the Colloseum, Palantine Hill, and the Forum. She planned our trip to Pompeii and Sorrento from start to finish. She gave us tips on restaurants, a gelateria, and things to do at night. She never starred us wrong. We had an excellent experience with each thing we did!

    Best tour guide in town
We were looking for skip the line tours. We found this office in a small street. For the service I would give 6 stars out of five. They are just in love with the city and they are also there to help. We were told everything we needed for our stay. Very knowledgeable guide we had, she paid attention for details and told us the best things I guess. I am sure we will come back to the city and will choose tours of this office only. Thank you!

    Coming Home Again
This was our second trip to Rome (Home) and Pasquale and Francesca arranged our transportation from the airport then back to it when we had to leave. The service and attention to detail are always of the highest quality. The drive is direct and we have no anxiety that we will be late for the fight when we sadly have to depart. It is important to note that Pasquale and Francesca offer so many exciting services which unlike most are catered to small groups and private tours. This is unique in that by doing so you have the opportunity to interact with your tour guide and others in your party and don't feel like you are just part of the herd! Also, they also offer apartment-style accommodations which are central to Rome and the sites. We offer this more so because like the private transportation service it is of the highest attention to detail and something that not everyone may know about but adds so much value to your Roman experience. Lastly, Pasquale and Francesca are more than just friends they are family. We always feel like we are coming home and our interaction with them is always personal. Heck, I was emailing them 3 months before we landed to make sure everything was in order for our arrival. Overkill on my part because again they handle everything and you have zero worries. Thanks again and we can not wait to come back home!

Great Tour with an Awesome Guide
This was our second tour with our guide Francesca. She brings such a wealth of knowledge to her job. Her pride in her city is quite evident. The Colosseum and the Forum are amazing and Francesca led us skillfully through both. Her tours do take longer and I would plan accordingly. It is really exciting to see these treasures up close, but it is even better to have an expert explain just how amazing they are.

    Good transport
We were a group of 4 and were joined by a group of three plus the driver and our guide. If you are looking for a guided tour, look elsewhere. They were very nice and somewhat helpful but did not share any information about Pisa or Florence except where some popular landmarks were located. They tried to answer questions we had the best they could. Not what we were expecting but we would not have seen these cities on our trip if we had not booked this tour.

    Knowledgeable guide, but....
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, but the tour needs some serious reorganisation. Firstly, it starts at Quo Vadis office - which is some way away from the Colosseum, apparently because they find it difficult to find a location for everyone to meet up nearby. We had to travel four stops on the underground to their offices and spend 20 mins finding it, only to then meet the guide and have to spend 30 mins getting back to the Colosseum before the tour could start. This was upwards of an hour wasted. Every other tour operator manages to get over this. When the tour started, the guide was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate, which was great - however, there were none of the now-usual mic and headset devices, and the guide led from the front talking in front of her - so unless you were right next to her, it was difficult to hear the commentary. As such, she lost the attention of our teenage daughter, who became bored. All in all, disappointing.

    What great people
I came across Quo Vadis Tours by accident. I rented a Air BnB a couple of doors from there office and needed a Vatican Tour without lining up. Francesca, her husband & her brother where so warm and welcoming that I did that tour, plus the Colosseum Tour, plus a private tour of Pisa, Sienna, Florence, Sorrento & Pompei. It was like being with family. They were so kind, so accomodating, patient and helpful & honest. Unlike other tourist centers that seemed to be the opposite. Again wonderful people. You're in good hands with them. Thank you guys so much for making our holiday so memorable:)

Disappointing Tour. Guide was a nice lady but had very average English and far too slow getting to the highlights which meant the teenagers lost interest. Seemed to want to do the tour on her terms, not ours. One of the reasons I booked this tour was it was advertised as a bit shorter than others but it went way over in time. I was also a bit surprised to have to pay extra for VATICAN entry when we arrived at the Quo Vadis offices as assumed this was covered but it was in the small print so fair enough I suppose…. But the advertised price is arguably misleading. Guide Didn’t have a good understanding of the Vatican layout in terms of whether earpieces could be rented, location of cafés/ restaurants etc. Basic stuff she should know. She did have very good knowledge of the museums and their content but struggled to communicate it well and in a timely fashion. I would not recommend this tour, especially for families with teenagers.

Our tour guide Marco was wonderfully knowledgeable and kind. Our group was originally supposed to be a small group of 8 but turned into 20, not a huge deal to us but just something to take note on if you value that. I will preface by saying if you want a calm experience I recommend booking a private tour for 6am, once the Sistine Chapel / Museum / St. Peter’s is open, it is VERY crowded, very overwhelming at times (and this was in the fall not even summer). Beautiful artwork and our tour guide Marco had a little something to say about it all, our group had headphones that were connected to a radio speaker so we could pretty clearly hear Marco over the crowd noise. I highly recommend if you are spending a couple days in Rome to do this on a single day as the Vatican is so large you cannot just do it within a few hours, however if you only want to see the Sistine Chapel/few exhibits/St. Peters, then 3 hours would be sufficient. I do highly recommend doing a tour as it is very overwhelming inside, it is nice to have some direction!

Paulo has an unbelievable amount of knowledge and was able to answer any questions. He especially took his time and care listening to our 6 year old twins and showing them what he thought they would enjoy too. The office were so friendly and there is no way we would have learnt so much in those two hours without them. Worth every penny!

This was the best tour we could do. The lines are so long and the groups are so big. We skipped all the lines including the skip the line, line. To have a small group and to have the opportunity to ask our questions and see what we wanted to see was priceless. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel can be overwhelming, but they are so beautiful. I wouldn’t miss this. We took a tour about 15 years ago and didn’t have a private tour and were crushed by the crowds. This was much better.

We are really glad about the tour service due to the knowledge of the tour guide. Francesca is really professional when telling the story of the Vatican. I know that the service is not included with the Vatican ticket, but we are really satisfied and enjoy during the tour. Francesca is very kind to us, especially to my mother. Thus, I really recommend for those who want to have a small-group tour and bring the family.

An amazing tour, privileged to have been shown around these historical sites by Laura.
Any question or query was answered without hesitation.
She went above and beyond in Saint Peter's when we wanted to post some special intentions and ensured that we were able to do so even though the tour had finished.
She's a credit to your company.

We were really looking forward to this tour which I had booked in advance through Trip Advisor.
We reported to the Quo Vadis office where we met a lovely woman called Francesca who took payment for the Vatican admission and walked us to the nearby place where we could shortly expect to meet our guide. Francesca was very warm, helpful. knowledgeable and friendly and had also taken the trouble the previous day to contact us offering a tour earlier in the day which would have been at a quieter time, unfortunately we were not able to be available for that so proceeded with the 12.00 tour I had booked.
As we waited for the guide we met and chatted with some other people on the tour and felt excited. When the guide arrived we didn't hear him introduce himself. His focus was on telling us in a brisk stern tone what he was and was not responsible for. It felt an odd slightly disrespectful way for him to start off. I think a lighter friendlier approach would have been more effective and made us feel happier.
When he asked if there were any questions my girlfriend asked him what his name was? He told us it was Alfredo and unnecessarily added, in what felt to be an irritated tone, that he had already given his name several times.
When we entered the Vatican it was immediately obvious that this would be a very challenging environment for any guide to hold a party together (our party comprised 21 people). Whereas the other guides we saw used flags on poles to ensure they were visible to their tour parties, Alfredo didn't use one, perhaps thinking his relatively tall stature made it unnecessary. Consequently I found it difficult to keep sight of him and much of my mental focus was on keeping him in sight rather than on taking in some of the amazing artworks most of which we rushed by.
We only stopped for Alfredo to talk about a small number of what he picked out as the more influential works. Whereas I could hear other guides sounding friendly and passionate explaining these works, Alfredo sometimes sounded formulaic and perfunctory.
He did take a few minutes to explain a little of the story of Michelangelo's works in the Sistine Chapel which was much appreciated but even this was at such a brisk pace that I found it hard to keep up. Alfredo did invite questions but his manner was such that if felt as though he didn't actually want to take questions.
What he said most often throughout the tour was that we would be evicted if we took photos in the Sistine Chapel. Mentioning this perhaps twice would have been simply helpful but by the fourth mention I was starting to feel like he considered me to be an errant child.
It was very obvious that being a guide on a Vatican Tour is a very challenging job and I wondered whether perhaps our guide was having a bad day? If so perhaps he would have been better letting us know so that we could make allowances for this and feel some empathy with him. But instead it felt like he didn't value us, I would have appreciated more warmth and a more friendly tone from him.
The place was as we had expected bountiful, but this tour left us feeling short-changed. We felt we would have enjoyed the visit more had we been there without a guide and would have also saved £45 for the two of us.

The information about the price is not accurate. We were not aware that the ticket for the Vatican is not included in the price and that we would need to pay additional 21 euros per person for it. When I talked to the sales person about it she was aware of the problem but didn't really care about it.

Not having read the reservation thoroughly we were surprised to pay for entry to the museum and chapel. Why would we need a guided tour if we did not have the entry... However, after having waited an hour for the tour to begin we had a great experience with Gabriel. He knew a lot about the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. All in all the tour lasted for almost 4 hours.
