What to Expect
The best way to get to know Rome’s countless wonders is by matching its own sedate tempo. During this personalized guided evening walking tour, skip the whistle-stop sightseeing junkets and experience the storied Italian capital at a gentler rhythm, strolling through ornate streets and squares while learning the stories behind famous sights. Ideal for first-time travelers, the tour provides a memorable introduction to the city while still covering all the main highlights. Meet your guide at the former execution site of Piazza del Popolo, now a lively city square. Stroll to the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna) and get a firsthand peek at Bernini’s famous public sculptures before heading to the sprawling Trevi Fountain, once a famous Fellini backdrop. Your guide fills you in on each attraction’s background. End the evening with a leisurely and history-filled stroll toward the ancient Pantheon and the nightlife hub, Campo de' Fiori.
Once we got started, this was a great tour seeing a lot of highlights around the area with lots of walking which was fine and the guide was very informative. Our issue with it though was that we were supposed to show up 15 minutes...More
The tour guide was awful, spent most of the tour talking about Chicago. Spoke very fast, extremely hard to understand. Used inappropriate language, and having been with two kids, we had to leave the tour after thirty minutes. We had five other tours with a...More

Depends how tired you are after the flight. The tour gives you a good intro to Rome. I recently did the tour on my first night in Rome, I had a full day of travel too. The pace is easy and it's about a 3km walk, start to finish. There is a taxi rank near the end to take you back to your hotel (which is what I did.)
