I noticed some of the other tours going on and our guide,( Laura Antonucci ) was the only guide that brought a reference book to add to our experience. The company was very easy to find and check in with in the courtyard in front of the church. Our tour guide Matcius was truly a warm and wonderful person. He was a wealth of knowledge and you could tell he was truly vested and excited about the history of The Colosseum, The Forum, and his Roman culture as a whole. I highly recommend taking a guided tour, you get so much more out of this historic place than just going yourself with a recorded headset. As well, we were here in the off season and the lines to get in for ticket holders was insane, I cannot even imagine it in peak season in the heat. Skipping the lines with a group tour was well worth the money in and of itself. We have found with all of our guided tours in Italy, they all have art history degrees, which was very apparent and much appreciated as you are gaining the perspective you paid for in a guided tour making them so worthwhile.

Amazing views of the palatine hills and the colosseum. Our guide Marcius told us all about the history of these places. His stories were really immersive. He takes you back in time, a real historian. We enjoyed the tour and guide and would recommend this to anyone visiting Rome.

Elida was great. She explained everything to us and it was very informative and fun. We learned a lot about Rome. Very enjoyable experience.

We have done many tours throughout Europe and all have been good except this one. This guide was horrible. He was very rude and forgot facts about the Colosseum and said so! He actually argued with tour members when we said our audio wasn’t working. Terrible!!

The place was crowded and a bit chaotic at the assembling area. Tour guide walked fast, hard to keep up. Apparently she did not care. She was knowledgeable but spoke with such a heavy accent that I was lost 99% of the time. Apparently, I was not alone. Other English speaking guests felt the same way. The tour was a waste of money and time for me. Will find another tour operator if I go next time.

Hilary, the guide, was very good but the overall organisation of the event could have been better. We originally booked an 8:30 start to avoid the crowds but this was pushed back to 9:30 by the company due to “operational reasons”. When we turned up in readiness for the 9:30 start we then had to wait for over 45 minutes in the freezing cold for the tour to begin. By the time we began the tour, the place was packed out. Probably wouldn’t use this company again.

Laura was a fantastic guide. She arrived at short notice as a sub due to a train strike and immediately made a great impression. What makes her stand out from guides I've had in the past is her genuine passion for what she's teaching you and this makes her tour all the more enjoyable. She is funny and speaks English very fluently so she is perfect to understand. Can't fault her

Trip for the colosseum was fantastic. Found the meet up place no problem and our tour guide was wonderful. The Vatican meet up place was hard to find. The directions were terrible and tour guide rush us through. Because the tour was running late. The map gave wrong directions. People were late
