    Good for first timer
We have gone on a similar food tour with this company many years ago. This time some of the stops/tastings were more enjoyable than others. We didn't think the pasta dishes in the restaurant were that great. Our guide did give us lots of information during our tour which we appreciated.

Great evening of history and food
A superb evening of history food wine and beer. Our guide Maria was knowledgeable and friendly and was keen to answer every question. The evening was seamless and unfortunately before you knew it over. Additionally we were accompanied on the tour by 6 wonderful fellow guests from the USA which was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

    Well worth it!
We went on this tour when a coworker suggested it and had an amazing time. I knew nothing about the Jewish district and it's cultural significance before going on the tour. Maria was an incredible guide and full of history and a great storyteller. She was also hospitable, kind and made us all feel at home. The Jewish fried artichokes were by far my fave and my new obsession but there was eggplant that I thought I wouldn't like and turned out to be delicious and other regional delicacies... but the coup de gras was what was waiting for us under one of the restaurants that had to do with Julius Caesar. It was a great night walking around the area and learning about these beautiful neighborhoods.

Wonderful guide, excellent choice of food stops
This tour was a highlight of our stay in Rome - we loved the combination of good food and guided tour. Our guide, Fabrizia, was very knowledgeable and attentive to the group. She gave excellent context to the food we were eating, much of which was traditional to Rome. The choice of stops was excellent -- not only was the food tasty, the eateries had an interesting history in and of themselves. Highly recommend. (One small note, Piazza Navonna, which would normally be a highlight, is under scaffolding in preparation for Jubilee year).

Great Way to Start Your Rome Visit!
This food tour was excellent! Our guide, Maria, was great. This tour is structured as a progressive dinner. The foods we tried included fried artichokes, 3 appetizers (zucchini, an anchovy dish, and grilled tomatoes), pizza, pasta choices for the main course (2 with meat and 2 without), tiramisu, Espresso and Gelato. There was plenty to eat! And a great opportunity to try foods that we may have skipped if we saw them on a menu. Several spots also included wine and/or beer. Overall a very worthwhile tour, especially at the beginning of your stay in Rome. This tour could be even better if limited to 10 people. We had 14 and it was a little crowded and made it harder to eat at a couple of stops where we stood to eat our food.

    Gluten Free Food Tour
If you are looking for a tour of restaurants offering gluten free food, I highly recommend this tour. The food and wine were absolutely spectacular! Additionally, our tour guide, Fabrizia P., was excellent for her knowledge of the restaurants, but also the history of the areas she took us to. One of the best tour guides we’ve had the pleasure of spending our time with!

Gluten Free Tour with Fabrizia !
My wife and I took the Gluten Free Food Tour with Fabrizia. Fabrizia was very communicative, and spoke English well. The choices of the places, (food & historical places), that Fabrizia chose, as well as the order, that she took us through were excellent! My wife and I enjoyed talking with her, learning history from her, and, of course, enjoyed the various foods that we ate. We loved this tour! We would highly recommend this tour, and we highly recommend Fabrizia! Tony & Debbie New York, USA

Great start to our Italy trip.
Our guide Maria was incredibly knowledgeable and shared with us wonderful insights into the history of the Jewish ghetto and all of the foods we enjoyed. The food was wonderful and plentiful. There was more than enough to eat and we enjoyed the full 3 hours of the tour. Highly recommend this tour to get a different side of Rome that many may not appreciate and have a fun and very good progressive meal along the way.

    Lots of fun!
Matteo made this an entertaining evening in a part of Rome that I would not have visited if not for the tour. A good selection of food, from apps to pastas (four total to taste), to dessert, to coffee. Lots of fun.

Introduction to Rome and its GF Food
We arrived tired and jet lagged from Canada but booked the tour with the hope and expectation that a walk and some lovely food would recharge us on arrival. We found our guide Fabrizia where clearly indicated, by Turtle Fountain, and she led us on an amazing private gluten-free food tour through the Jewish Quarter, Campio di Fiori and surrounding districts for 4 hours, stopping at 6 venues, and tasting wonderful selections from various establishments. Fabrizia also shared history and stories of Rome making the experience very meaningful and appreciated for us both. We would absolutely book this tour again (and request Fabrizia!) as it was the best first introduction to Rome and GF food. Ciao!

Such a great experience. Our tour guide, Andrea, was very knowledgeable and fun. The food stops were truly delicious! We are a family of 4 with 2 teen/tween daughters and they really enjoyed it also.

Great combo of food and history
It was a fantastic combination of gluten free food and history. Our tour guide was very passionate about giving us the best experience possible. Definitely would bring a backpack next time because we couldn’t eat all the food and ended up bringing a bunch with us. Overall, it was amazing!

Fun, knowledgeable and tasty food tour with the great guide Fabrizia
Our guide was Fabrizia, she was amazing, very knowledgeable, kind and patient. Before booking the tour we were skeptical, but during it we had such an amazing time and recommend it! First stop we're various spreads on crackers in Campo de Fiori, then a deli with different salamis and cheeses and red wine, next a pizza place (very basic, leave space for the next one!) and beer or soft drink, and fourth stop was a pasta restaurant with 4 different pasta dishes and wine. After, we had tiramisu, espresso and gelato. A lot of historic information during the tour and some hidden gems. Thank you Fabrizia!

This tour was incredibly fun! We were in a smallish group (5 people) on a weekday, and it was great option for my first night in Rome as a solo traveler. The guide gave us a lot of really great information about the area of town we walked through including statues fountains etc. It was really cool! The food was all delicious and neat to learn a bit about the food. And you get plenty of the food (this can be your entire dinner/dessert for the evening). I'd absolutely recommend!

This was one of the best food tours I have been on! Simona was our food tour guide and she was absolutely amazing. My husband and I selected the smaller group tour and ended up getting upgraded. The group we were with was also wonderful, we all had a great time eating and socializing. Simona was very knowledgeable and gave us some inciteful information about the city as well. The food stops were delicious and great variety. Best was the tiramisu at two sizes and the gelato. If ever in Rome again I would redo this tour and request Simona! Thank you Simona for the wonderful experience and life long memories.

The tour was quite nice. We learned a lot about local Roman food. The guide had abundant local knowledge and made the tour fun. The restaurant where we sat down to eat pasta did not feel like a traditional Italian restaurant. It was more of a modern place and it was filled with other patrons speaking loudly, making it a bit difficult hear the guide speak. It was very warm in the restaurant, and our guide had to ask the owner to turn on the AC (which they did). The outside tour stops were just OK - one was on a busy alley where again, it was hard to hear the guide speak. Another stop was at a beautiful piazza, but there were vehicles/machines going by cleaning the piazza while we were there, so it was hard to hear the guide speaking. We took several tours while in Rome and this was the only tour where hearing the guide was an issue. Other than that, the food was excellent and we learned a lot. The tour was worth doing - the only suggested improvement would be that the tour operator considers stopping in quieter locations.
Thank you.

We had an amazing time. Maria our guide was excellent. She provided great information about the local area and spoken in detail about the delicious food we were eating. The Roman cuisine was unique and very enjoyable. Great pairing of wines with our samples. My favorite tasting was at the sit down restaurant where we had carbonara and pasta with mushrooms. During the tour we were able to learn about the history of the areas we were walking through. The tour was setup very well and the tasting of the food was great. The tour ended with my two other favorites, espresso and gelato.

What a great tour! We have found food tours to be a great way to introduce ourselves into a new travel experience, and this one was one of best we have taken. Greta was a perfect guide: fun, personable, and knowledgeable. Most all of the establishments we visited during our tour were same-family owned for hundreds of years. The pasta was especially memorable: carbonara, pesto, and caccio e pepe that are now the standards I will measure all pasta against always. It was that good, and now that I think of it we will go back for more! If you are visiting Rome, book this tour and ask for Greta!

Amazing way to learn about the city while enjoying local cuisine! Our tour guide Francesca was delightful and showed us all the hidden gems in the city. She was so passionate about the food and the city's history it was a pleasure listening to her. The selection of food gave us a great overview of typical Roman cuisine and the wine was amazing 😍

An excellent way to get a good overview of Roman food. Tourguide Greta was very friendly and took good care of the group. There were interesting stories about Rome and most importantly many visits to local establishments to taste delicious food. Greta seemed to know everyone at the restaurants personally and she was quick to come up with more stories to entertain us since there were some groups ahead of us and we had to wait to get our food.

The food tour was great fun.
We had a small group so Francesca could easily engage with everyone. She was very friendly and knowledgable, not only in Roman Food but the history of the area. She really made the tour for us!

Food stops; trial of cured meats and sheep cheese (trial of red wine), suppli, pasta dishes (glass of wine), tiramisu, gelato.

The cured meats, suppli and tiramisu were really great! It felt very authentic. However, the pasta restaurants did not feel like a traditional restaurant. Also, the option of trialling Roman pizza would have been great.

Overall it was a good local food tour and would recommend.

I’ve been on several food tours. This wasn’t one of the best. The group was too large to hear well and move easily from place to place. Mattei was friendly but not particularly attentive. The most interesting part was the Jewish ghetto, and we went back there to explore more.

We tasted sauces and vinegars at the first stop and were offered a small discount off the “tourist price.” We should’ve paid more attention to the final price before checking out because it was still too high.
