The customer service and willingness to put in extra effort and time by Kimberly from Miles and Miles made my return from Perugia to Rome possible. I was stuck in Perugia after a tour ended. Transfers were not arranged by the tour company, however we were told not to worry something would be arranged-but it wasn’t! Kimberly came to my assistance even after a mix up with the dates. She sent a driver and I was back in Rome within 2 hours! Rick Steves recommends this transfer/tour company and Kimberly even gave me a RS discount! Great to know a traveler can count on a company to go above and beyond expectations!

Francisco picked us up at our hotel and gave us a very informative tour of four medieval villages just north of Rome. He was quite the gentleman and was very knowledgeable about the area. He made reservations for us at a great restaurant on the side of a lake and stayed with us to help order. There was a language barrier at the restaurant. The four villages were totally charming and it was great to be out of the hustle and bustle of Rome.

We used miles and miles travel for a day trip to Orvieto from the cruise port in Civitavechia. Our driver and guide was Cris, who was excellent at both driving and guiding. He was able to accommodate our need for less walking with good suggestions for things to see near the cathedral in Orvieto. He also knows people in Orvieto, so he was able to recommend an excellent place for lunch there, as well as giving us a bunch of good recommendations for things to do later when we go to Rome. We had a delightful time in Orvieto, and enjoyed relaxing and exploring the little town a bit. Highly recommended if you are looking for a day trip from a cruise port or Rome. If you can, request Cris as your guide!

Miles &Miles made our day tour of Rome a reality. Two of our party have mobility issues, so together with Francesco I was able to plan a day that was enjoyable for everyone. Our driver, Robert, was waiting for us when our cruise ship docked. The mini van was quite nice for our needs, and Robert was an attentive and knowledgeable driver. We started our tour with a cappuccino in a small cafe away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Then we were off to see many of the wonders of Rome that we had on our bucket list. The small van made it easier to navigate the busy, narrow streets and allowed us to stop for short photo opportunities. We ended the tour in a small family restaurant, also away from the tourist area, where Robert had arranged a delicious lunch of homemade ravioli and gnocchi, accompanied by the most delicious vegetables I have ever had. It took me back to days of my youth spent in Italian family kitchens in Southwestern Pennsylvania. We booked the 9 1/2 hour tour, with the ability to shorten it an hour or two if needed. The company, and Robert, were great at accommodating our request. In my opinion, this was the highlight of our cruise. We would do it again without hesitation.

Christiano personalized our tour to perfection. We hit all the highlights of antiquity and then some. He had a depth of historical knowledge that provided meaningful context to the sights we visited. The tour was exactly what I was hoping for as an introduction to Rome.

We have been to Rome several times and decided to take this 3 hour boutique tour. Maggi was our tour guide and was fun to be with - she took us to some wonderful and out-of-the-way pizza, gelato, drink locations that we would passed by if we were just walking around. Highly recommend.

We experienced the full day History and Fun Tour -- wonderful time with Francesco. He took us throughout Rome as well as the area he grew up - stopped for cappuccino at a shop where he would get the drink almost every day on the way to school. Went into the countryside and had a wonderful time having wine, cheese and meat at one of his best friend's restaurant - saw the wine cellar - fabulous. Would recommend this tour to anyone

We took 2 private tours with Miles & Miles tour company on September 15 and 16, 2024. Each tour took four of us outside of Rome to various villages in a comfortable mini-van. Our professional guide, Francesco, and driver, Christian, were exceptional…always on time, friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour was personalized for us, as we travelled along and they got to know us better. We saw and learned things that would not have happened on a standard, cookie-cutter type of tour. We took the tour, as recommended, by Rick Steves. These two days were the highlights for our visit to Rome. Would recommend them unconditionally….10/10….and, we never rank this high!! Not enough good things to say about Miles and Miles. On time, friendly, knowledgeable, etc.., you get the idea. Based on Rick Steve’s recommendation we used M&M for airport transfers and a city tour. The day touring Rome with M&M was the highlight of our 17 day trip. Christian and Roberto showed us their Rome. It was incredible as we saw areas we never would have found on our own. And the history we learned about was amazing. Roberto recommended a locally owned Tratoria for us to have lunch at and it was fabulous!!!! When in Rome, rely on miles and Miles to make your trip extra special.

Wow - one of the highlights of our trip. The sunrise tour of Rome with Francesco was incredible. Being able to explore Rome and see the major sites without ANY crowds and often without any people was incredible. Trevi fountain, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, St Peters Square and much more - just breathtaking. Francesco is a class act - super professional, knowledgeable, super welcoming and an all around great guide and person. We learned so much and greatly appreciate such a personalized experience. We were also lucky enough to have Francesco the day before to take us from Sorrento to Rome with a stop in Pompeii - what another amazing experience. We can’t thank Francesco enough- we are very grateful for these experiences that we will never forget. We highly recommend him and Miles and Miles. Book now!

A great tour of Rome, from our cruise ship, by Francesco . He's a hometown boy, able to show our group of 4 a Rome that the cruise ship tour could not have offered its bus loads. He has the knowledge to make the tour amazing. He dropped us off at the Colosseum and left us with Federica, our Colosseum guide, for a two hour tour there which we loved. I would recommend the pair of them to everyone I know heading to Rome and if I ever return, I will look them up again.

Words cannot do justice to the perfectly curated "Rome shore excursion - City tour by van + Archeological Rome" tour we took with Roberto. Roberto, if you ever decide to retire from the touring business (although I hope you do not any time soon and I want to take ALL of your tours), then I hope you will consider teaching a college course. You are a true educator, the kind of professor that we all remember as being our favorite. Not only is Roberto everything you need in a tour guide (passionate, knowledgeable, interesting) but he also has a quality that makes you want to hang on every word and he takes complete advantage of Roma's open museum classroom setting. We felt very spoiled with the door to door service for everything (including to and from the cruise ship) in his very comfortable air conditioned van). It was 100 degrees the day we toured but the flow of the tour still made it possible to have an amazing time instead of an overly-exhausting time. The place he chose for lunch was ideal as well. I'd also like to give a shout out to Marco who gave us an excellent tour through the Colosseum and Forum. The flow was great and informative. Roberto, we will come back and visit Roma again. I had every expectation that I would like it, and enjoy our day there. I had no idea that I would leave a little piece of my heart behind, and long to return. Thank you for the wonderful day. We visited 4 new cities over the course of this trip and took six separate tours and enjoyed them all. But this one is the one that we will talk about forever. You've set a very high bar for our family.

We LOVE Miles & Miles! We schedule tours with them on every trip to Rome and they never disappoint. The family owned tour company gives a professional and personal experience to all their clients. You will leave with treasured memories and a friend in Rome. This time we did the Rome & The Hill Towns Tour with Roberto, the owner of the company. It combines some top sights of Rome and then heads to the Roman countryside via the Appian Way. There were stunning views of Lake Albano and a delicious lunch at the restaurant, Pagnanelli (which boasts a 30K bottle wine cellar and pictures of many famous U.S. music and movie stars who have frequented the restaurant). A quick stop at the village of Castel Gandolfo netted us a more than a few purchases. It was a MAGICAL day and our favorite while in Rome! Bravo Roberto. Until we meet again ...

When traveling to Italy our family wanted to visit our ancestry town of Pacentro. Our guide, Francesco, was so helpful and truly AWESOME. He drove us to this quaint little town and since he was fluent in Italian, helped us navigate our way to town hall to obtain the ancestry records we were looking for. After researching the records, we were even able to visit our grandparents homes!! It was such an AMAZING day and we could not have done it without him. Francesco - THANKS SO MUCH for making this the BEST day of our trip. We would highly recommend hiring Miles & Miles next time you visit Italy and ask for Francesco!!

I booked a full-day transfer from Rome to Sorrento with a stop at Pompeii. The company coordinated everything. My driver Aldo was attentive, professional, and gave SO MANY local tips to make my trip to Italy even better.
