About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- B3452ITgl0 contributionsFantastic fun!Fantastic. We only had one full day in Rome, so we decided to book this as a way to see more in less time. Turned out to be the best decision we made on the trip. We had our 10 and 6 year old sons with us, they had an absolute BLAST. You know you are on a good tour when all the other tourists point and smile as you cruise by. Tour leader was knowledgable and funny, and even was able to steer us away from some pick pockets by the Trevi fountain, very aware. Don't hesitate, book this! you will not regret it!Written 5 September 2024
- LisaM108570 contributionsFantastico!!Enjoyed every minute of this fantastic tour. A whirl wind of sights and informative commentary made this a highlight of our trip. The novelty of four vespa sidecar travelling together also made us feel like instant celebrities, people stopped in their tracks to take photos and wave as we went by! Highly recommend this tour, perfecto!Written 3 September 2024
- 369christianned0 contributionsMy favorite part of my time in ItalyIt was amazing! Honestly my favorite part of my time in Italy. It was really thrilling to ride a Vespa around Rome. The drivers were very kind, and our tour guide was super helpful and Informative. We got to see all the best sites of Rome as well, in a short amount of time. We were given water and they sprayed us with water between stops to cool us down. The gelato was delicious. Highly reccomend.Written 2 September 2024
- Ladylexie0 contributionsUnforgettable tour of Rome! You will not regret this tour! We felt like celebrities because it is such a unique experience! Everyone was in awe and amazed watching us drive around the city. Enjoy the best parts of Rome in a stylish way! We took some amazing pictures and had some delicious gelato along the way. Thank you for an amazing experience!Written 2 September 2024
- pkhr270 contributionsGreat rideAwesome experience, includingfor kids. Safe and informative, with in a tour at Pantheon. A great and unusual way to see the Eternal City. Gelato was great as well.Written 1 September 2024
- randymQ6315VX0 contributionsGreat family sightseeing tour.My family and I had a great time. We have two children (10 and under), and we were able to see all of Rome from the fun perch of a vespa. My kids call this one of the highlights of our vacation! Matteo (our tour guide) and Alessandro & Manuel (or other drivers) were fantastic. They were great with the kids making the tour very interactive.Written 31 August 2024
- FrequentFlier7299900 contributionsThe only way to see Rome ❤️Absolutely fantastic - the only way to see this amazing city and property experience Roman traffic! Barbara is a fantastic source of knowledge, able to answer all your questions and full of information. The drivers are all great, but a shout out to Vito on the red 🛵🙌 Excellent fun and recommend 100% - do it!!Written 30 August 2024
- mntripgirl200 contributionsDon’t walk, ride through Rome!We loved this tour. My husband rode in the back and I was in a sidecar as we cruised some great Roman sites. Right away, we saw the pantheon- which I was looking forward to. Tickets were included in the tour price and timed perfectly so we just walked in. Our tour guide gave us info about the construction and calendaring of the site which made it seem even more impressive. Back on the bikes in 96° heat- our driver had cold water for us and a misting spray (such a relief). Visiting the trevi fountain with a guide means you get a nice photo without risking handing over your phone to a stranger! All the while, you’re cruising in your cute Vespa and having your photo taken by other tourist onlookers. We were celebrities. The whole experience was so lovely. We got some behind the scenes knowledge- and easily reached overlooks or distant sites without walking. We got food recommendations and tasty gelato (included!) and photos taken by our driver to post on our socials. I’d recommend to anyone- especially those that want to justify purchasing a Vespa magnet souvenir!Written 30 August 2024
- Marty T0 contributionsThis tour should be top of your list of things to do in Roma!Simply a must do while visiting Roma! We had so much fun and enjoyed learning lots about Rome’s history. Matteo was an informative guide with lots of Italian charisma and Romano my Vespa driver was one of the nicest people I have ever met. The whole friendly team were brilliant. Spent time waving to people and taking memorable photos of Roma! Highly recommendedWritten 30 August 2024
- Becs19620 contributionsBest way to spend an afternoon in Rome. What a fun, exciting and interesting way to spend 3 hours in Rome. Matteos knowledge of the city is incredible. All of the Vespa drivers were respectful and made sure we were enjoying the trip throughout. The previous day we had visited the Pantheon but didn’t go inside as the queues were so long. Included in the trip was access to inside and Matteo gave us information that we would not have known had we gone inside on our own. This is the way to see the touristy bits but also the back streets that you might have missed. We ate ice cream many times in Rome but the ice cream shop they took us to at the end of the trip was by far the best. We have already recommended this trip as we were so impressed.Written 29 August 2024
- 978greggs0 contributionsA blast that will make you want your own Vespa! The highlight of our trip to Rome! Wife, Kid(7), I had a fantastic time riding around Rome in the Vespas. The guide and the drivers were all very fun and knowledgeable. This was a great way to beat the heat, humidity, and crowds in late summer. Protrip if traveling with littles: Bring in-ear headphones that fit those small ears. You'll use them for all your tours.Written 24 August 2024

- Cruiser429101683090 contributionsBest way to see Rome! The only tour I would book if I was coming to visit Rome, it was absolutely incredible. They went out of their way to help everybody stay cool in record high temperatures. We saw more than we ever would have had we walked and our tour guide and drivers were awesome. Worth every penny. Could easily charge more for the experience given. I told friends coming in a few weeks they need to cancel another tour just to make room for this oneWritten 20 August 2024
- adinas9410 contributionsBest tour of our tripWe vacationed all over italy for 3.5 weeks this summer and this tour was one of my kids favorite experiences of the trip. Our tour guide Alessio as well as the other vespa drivers were so friendly, funny and informative. Its an awesome, fun way to see beautiful rome from a locals perspective and although not cheap, was totally worth it. Especially in summer when its so hot, its a great way to see all the sites and perfect for anyone traveling with kids wno might otherwise not be thrilled with too much sightseeing.Written 19 August 2024

If I could give more than 5 stars then this tour would deserve a higher rating. Although we tried to book in advance there was no availability for a regular tour so we decided to book a private tour. The staff were amazing, on time, well organised, informative, professional and charming . Little touches such as a blanket and a hot water bottle were available for the sidecar rider. We were given an ear piece with a radio so we could hear the amazing commentary of Sergio , our guide, whilst we drove through the streets of Rome. Sergio was charming with an exceptional knowledge of the history and buildings of Rome. We had a wonderful tour of the Pantheon, a lovely breakfast of cappuccino and a croissant ( the pistachio filling was excellent) and visited the Trevi Fountain where Sergio gave us each a coin to throw into the water. We passed by many of the landmarks in the City learning from Sergio as we went along. The drivers were so thoughtful, we were unable to visit St Peter’s Square as the road was closed ( Palm Sunday) so as a surprise they took us up to Gianicolo Hill to witness the cannon being fired at midday. One of the drivers even parked a car for a nun who was having difficulty reversing into a garage!
This really is a five star experience, it was the highlight of our trip and as such I would highly recommend experiencing the sites of Rome in a Vespa Sidecar.

By far one of the most fun and unique experiences touring this beautiful city was with Luca in the sidecar! We hit all of the best Roman sites and it was an absolute pleasure spending the day with Luca, a friendly Roman native. This is great (and inexpensive) way to see the city, especially if you don't have a lot of time and want to see as much as possible. Highly recommended and will be booking again.

I visited Rome several times before but Lucca, from Vespa with Sidecar provided us with the most memorable experience of our family life. He showed and make us see Rome trough the eyes of a local, told us incredible and funny anecdotes engaging not only us, but our 9 and 14 year old kids with his tales of the city for 5 hours. Throughout the journey he weaved the stories of Rome history with all the sites we were visiting. The safety protocols were all met, disinfections of the vehicles, helmets, even portable disinfectant sprays on the back of the bikes. Although Rome was just upgraded to Yellow COVID zone and we had to wear masks and keep our distance he provided such an engaging tour that he made us forget for 5 hours we were still in the middle of the pandemic. The cappuccino and cornetto were scrumptious and delicious and the gallery were we drank it was a piece of art in itself. We finished the tour in the Colosseum and he personally called a family restaurant to book us a late lunch that was memorable as well. Thank you Lucca for an amazing experience our family will always remember!

The Vespa sidecar tour is a very relaxing way of discovering Rome. The tour covers a lot of ground but you almost wouldn’t notice because you’re cruising along on such a calm pace. The very funny guide, Luca, has lots of interesting stories to tell and he knows how to take a picture or two. His live commentary on the parking techniques of the locals is a great addition to the tour. The Vespas are a sight to be seen themselves and the guys are very sweet with small children too.

Luca was amazing! I booked a 2-hour tour of Rome as a surprise for my friend's birthday - and Luca created an exceptional itinerary for us. He planned a beautiful tour of Rome, where he showed us many of the historic and panoramic sites of the Eternal City. Not to mention, Luca is an excellent photographer!! So he captured many great moments and memories on camera!! This was definitely one of our best memories of Rome - and we're so thankful that we were able to enjoy all sites that Rome has to offer in this unique, and exhilarating way. Thank you Luca! The experience was 10/10 and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome!

My friend and I just returned home from our sidecar tour with Luca and his team and still have not stopped smiling! We had an amazing morning on our tour of the city, filled with laughter and high quality photos (with the help of our very experienced, professional, humorous guide). Luca told jokes through his headset to our receivers as we jetted all around the neighborhoods of Rome for a 3.5 hour tour, ending with a delicious lunch recommendation. We cannot thank you enough!!! Grazie!

The Vespa Sidecar tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome! Luca was an amazingly knowledgeable and personable guide and he tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. We did the tour on the afternoon of our second day so he focused on the things we hadn’t yet seen. It was a perfect introduction for our kids (ages 13,12,9) to Rome and all its wonders. Luca was incredibly flexible working around an unexpected Mass at the Pantheon, he brought us back later to make sure we could go inside. We were like rock stars as all of the Italians loved the Vespa sidecars and they took our pictures constantly - especially when they lined up the Vespas in the colors of the Italian flag at stop lights. It made for an unforgettable afternoon in Rome that was well worth the investment. Many thanks to Luca and his team!

A fabulous way to see Rome and learn about the city. Luca was full of energy and information and always prompt in his replies to my emails before our trip. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated his thoughtfulness and flexibility in allowing me to book a tour without paying for 2 tickets. (With covid, you can’t share a Vespa with a stranger.) I recommend this tour as a fun way to see the sights and save your feet from some walking as my feet needed a break. With the heat of July, cruising around while feeling a breeze was much appreciated. Take the tour; Luca and the Vespa will make you smile all day.

What an experience! This was honestly the best and only way to experience Rome and would recommend to anyone visiting. Luca, our guide, couldn’t have made our trip any better. The tour was arranged for Friday but given the bad weather forecast, he had contacted me to say the weather will be much clearer and brighter on Saturday and was able to reschedule for Saturday. He had also messaged to ask what sights we had already visited and that he was going to take me to other places which we had not already seen, some of which we didn’t have time to view during our time in Rome but Luca made them happen!!!

This was so much fun and Lucca is a really informative guide. One of the best tours I have ever done and certainly the best way to see Rome. He has a great sense of humour and the Vespa gets you into the little side streets and alleys where cars cant easily get to. The tour is extensive and so much fun. Even in winter we had hot water bottles and a blanket to make the trip more enjoyable. Bravo Lucca! We were very privileged to have found this tour. Great value and fabulous fun!

Hi,
Will the Vespa Sidecar Tour in Rome with Cappuccino or Highlights of Rome Vespa Sidecar Tour in the Afternoon with Gourmet Gelato stop available in August 2023?
Written 18 July 2023
Yes, there's quiet a few stops where you can go to the toilet (breakfast and the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc).
With there not being a lot of public toilet facilities around go into a café, buy a drink and ask to use their toilets. It's the quickest and easiest way to find toilets in Rome :)
Just let the guides know and they will happily help you out.

Can two people plus driver be on one Vespa with sidecar?
Written 7 June 2022
Yes, one person can sit behind the driver the other in the side car. They allow the two people to switch places so each person gets a chance to ride on the cycle or sidecar. It is completely safe and loads of fun. I highly recommend! The drivers and tour guide are great!

If I book for two people, do we both get to ride on different vespas in the sidecar or will we be on the same vespa one in the sidecar and one on the back of the motorcycle?
Written 25 January 2022
Usually, couples share the same vespa, but with the amount of stops made, couples will switch (riding in the sidecar & riding on the vespa with a driver) so you both have ample opportunities to be in the sidecar.
