Vatican Museums and Sistene Chapel Tour
On our arrival we found staff all very helpful and polite. We were told where to find our tour guide and found everything well sign posted and easy to find. Our tour guide was a lovely gentleman called Carlo who was very friendly and welcoming. To begin with Carlo explained to us how he wasn't allowed to take us into the Sistine Chapel but used the available pictures to talk though the art work we would see in there after he had taken us through the museum. This was really interesting and he had us all capitvated. You would of thought he and Michel Angelo were best buddies!! The tour of the museum was equally interesting, so much to see !!! Carlo was clearly passionate about the Vatican and bought everything to life. He was easy to listen to and so informative. We came away feeling like we had learnt a great deal. The Sistine Chapel is smaller than I expected but the paintings were breathtaking. It was a shame that so many people were squeezed in though, as it felt a bit squashed in. There is a Cafe and a Pizzaria on site and we enjoyed a meal deal which consisted of a large slice of pizza, a side and a drink which we thought quite reasonably priced. There are also gift shops where you can purchase souvenirs ranging from postcards right up to Roman busts!!! Photos are not allowed to be takem inside the Sistine Chapel but ok to do so in the museum. Overall we had an amazing day out and would love to return one day to see more.

When in Rome tours . With Chiara on Sept 24 ,2022 . Tour was quite informative and entertaining . The selected info grea
The tour was great . Entertaining and informative . Chiara was very personable . We were able to see many important items in many different parts of the tour. When in Rome tours with Chiara was just presented in a way to entertain and inform . The language was clear and easy to understand . We did not go into St. Peter’s Basilica because the lines were enormous . If admission to St Peter’s was included that would have saved us hours of line waiting . But no line waiting on the vat museums and Sistine chapel .

Awesome Private Vatican and Sistine Chapel experience
Sabrina was a wonderful guide. She listened to what we wanted to experience and made it happen. Her wealth of knowledge, good English, and great personality made our tour unforgettable. She made sure we found our ride before leaving us and was so helpful with suggestions after the tour.

    Claudia and the Vatican
Claudia was fantastic. She knew her material so well. She was funny and thoughtful and took great care with my somewhat frail sister. Loved her!

    Love Rome
Rome is amazing. We spent 3 nights and managed to do the coliseum, forum, and pallentine hill. St. Peter’s Basillica, the Vatican museum, trevi fountain Spanish steps and pantheon. It’s all brilliant. Get it on your bucket list

Wait until Covid restrictions are over!
I am leaving a poor review only because Covid restrictions made this tour a waste of time. We had to meet infront of a monitor for half an hour while the guide explained what we were going to see. Imagine twenty plus people crowded around to see a glimpse of the screen. Then when the walking tour began, the guide talked more about the popes of the era rather than the artwork which we were viewing. The mask police where everywhere and if your mask happened to slip off you nose for a second they rushed to reprimand you. By the end of the tour we finally made it to the Sistine Chapel but the guide was not allowed to tell us anymore about it. It was so anticlimactic that all we wanted to do was escape the Vatican.

This tour was the best tour that my husband and I have ever been on. Anna was our tour guide, and she was so intelligent, informative, patient, and kind. We feel like we won the lottery with Anna as our guide. She took us across Rome and told us about the history in great detail. She was able to answer every single question we had. We felt like having a guide saved us so much time as we were able to see so much and not waste time getting lost, trapped in lines, or trying to look up the history as we went. We cannot recommend this tour any higher! Make sure you ask for Anna!

Would do this no other way
We were picked up from our Airbnb by van and promptly escorted into the waiting hands of Tommaso for our tour. It’s difficult to wholly put into words the experience. Tommaso (an archeologist by trade) was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about everything he showed us. Tommaso was very personable and was energized by some of my questions and requests. A simple “is there a statue of Augustus” and he lit up with a “i’m so glad you’ve asked”. He elaborated on things as we walked throughout the Vatican museums and tried to show us simple things that get overlooked, like the fact that you walk on priceless mosaics that are equally as impressive as the statues and art, but are generally missed. The fact that the museum was at 10% capacity made it all the more rare of an experience as we got to appreciate a lot of areas with no little to no people around and we got to take our time with the experience. Now COVID things, the tour was very safe. We were offered sanitizer on getting into the van when picked up, and from meeting Tommaso through the end of the tour we all kept our masks on the whole time which made us feel very safe. While the tour couldn’t cover St. Peter’s basilica due to the Vatican changing rules there was no wait and we were able to get in with less than 10 min wait after all temperature checks and security screening.

    Wonderful tour with Maria
We loved this tour. Maria was an excellent, knowledgeable guide and really engaged our 9 year old daughter (no mean feat given it’s 2-and-a-half hours of history/art!) Maria developed a fun quiz to keep our daughter enthusiastic throughout (with a prize at the end!) and so the whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. Given the current situation, the museum was really quiet - so we were fortunate enough to be able to have it almost to ourselves at times - an incredible experience (especially in areas like the Sistine Chapel which are normally so busy). We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone with children.

    Vatican City
Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel We did skip the line which is in Vatican & Sistine Chapel. You can use a live, audio or on your own tour. The portrait and sculpture works are awesome. There is only one way in and one way out. There is a short mass every so often during the day. Lots of people, very crowded. They have a lot of souvenir shops. Excellent presentation of artwork.

    Early Entrance Vatican Tour
Manola was our tour guide for the “Priviledged Entrance Vatican Tour with Sistine Chapel” booked through the Roman Guy (part of the Tour Guy). We entered the Vatican Museums at 8:00 am, an hour before the general public is allowed to enter. Manola did a wonderful job of explaining the art, artifacts, and history in the beautiful Vatican museums, including the Raphael Rooms, in the Sistine Chapel, and in Saint Peter’s Basilica. Of course, there was not time to see all of the art in all the museums but the ones she showed us were made more interesting by the background information she provided that explained its relevance and importance. We especially enjoyed the Map Room and seeing the tomb of St Peter beneath St Peter’s Basilica. We highly recommend this tour.
