Family of Three Visit to Vatican City
1. The high points: The Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basillica are incredible. 2. Other points: Our guide was very knowledgeable but hard to understand. it felt very rushed at times. We waited around a lot at the beginning with no direction. You also have to pay another 25 Euro each to have a guided tour (this is just fast track) The bad points: 1. The Vatican is allowing literally thousands in at the same time for individual and group tours and the halls are so crowded that there is no time to stop and look at anything. 2. The Vatican provides groups with a small receiver and a single earbud to listen to the guide. With so many around, the ambient noise makes it nearly impossible to understand the guide sometimes. Consequently you miss too much to get anything from the tour. 3. I was concerned with the this tour company. You are directed to their main address with instructions to arrive 25 minutes early. But upon arrival, you are next directed to a different location around the block. Then you sit after paying another 25 euro each.

stressfree
Easy to find the staff to pick up ticket. No stress to enter the church. Recommend to book priority ticket.

Vatican Museum - Fast Track
Avoid all fast track offers - they are really a con and you do not skip the queue as they keep you waiting for ages and therefore not value for money. I would strongly recommend you buy your tickets directly from either the official Vatican website or simply buy a ticket from the kiosk just beyond the main entrance to the Vatican Museum. Unfortunately there are too many hangers on trying to make a few euros out of unsuspecting tourists!

Disappointing Vatican visit
The high points: 1. The Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basillica are incredible. 2. Our guide is very knowledgeable. The bad points: 1. The Vatican is allowing literally thousands in at the same time for individual and group tours and the halls are so crowded that there is no time to stop and look at anything. 2. The Vatican provides groups with a small receiver and a single earbud to listen to the guide. With so many around, the ambient noise makes it nearly impossible to understand the guide. You are directed to their main address with instructions to arrive 25 minutes early. But upon arrival, you are next directed to a different location around the block. Then you sit and sit. When they are ready for the tour, at least for our group, we stood on the street corner for about 15 minutes waiting for some late arrivals which further delatyed the start. Our 14:00 start became 14:30 and further compressed our tour as there was a mass that was going to start by the time we finished. We had no additional time to look around because of the late time. Recommendation if you decide to visit: Go ONLY to the very first time slot offered. Maybe crowds won't be so bad. Also, If you don't do well in large crowds, DO NOT VISIT. You will be miserable. I hansle crowds well and was bothered by the pushing of other groups trying to kee up with their respective groups.

Extremely crowded but very interesting
I took the 0830 tour but didn’t actually get going until around 0930 at which point the crowds were excessive which defeated the object of arriving so early. The guide was very good and it is well worth taking this option. There is so much to see. The Sistine Chapel was very crowded, no photos or talking permitted which some choose to ignore. The basilica was the last point which is very beautiful. Recommend very early 0700 or late tour to crowds.

Self Guided Allows for Quicker Access to the Various Areas of the Vatican
Highly recommended for those who have seen the Vatican already, or who want to be able to explore on their own.

Easy going tour
Tour operator easy to find and punctual. We only bought the fast track entrance which was exactly as expected, entrance to vatican city was easy and fast. Then we were free to visit the city at our own pace.

Huge crowds
Changed to a tour, to include St. Peters, but huge crowds in the museum meant we saw only a very small part, and our guide was only fair. Glad we did the tour, though, because easy access to the spectacular Basilica, and crowds smaller there.

Disorganised and Skip the line is just another queue
Poorly organised, met at designated point and stood around in three different locations. Eventually got to the queue to be told too busy to let us in. Moved from one location to another and watched as tour upon tour went in front. Very little communication and a vastly overcrowded and uncomfortable experience. Don't bother there is so much more to see in Rome that wont have you frustrated, cramped and underwhelmed

Great guide and great group!
The tour was awesome! Finding the location was super simple and the Campo di Fiori had plenty of things for us to look at and shop around while we waited (we arrived early so we could make sure we knew where we needed to be). We took a seat at the tables in front of La Carbonara. Marcello (I think I spelled it right :p) greeted us and chatted with us while more people showed up. Once we had everyone we split up onto two groups and started. Our first stop was a great little place called Rimessa Roscioli for some cheese and wine samples. From there we went back to Campo Di Fiori and went to Filetti di Baccala for some meats and more wine. The truffle crusted meat was amazing!!! We then walked up the street to a wonderful little place that specialized in a limited menu and had fried Cod (which was amazing as well). From there we walked (beautiful walk at sunset FYI) to Ai Spaghettari for some amazing food. We sampled authentic carbonara pasta, ravioli and fried rice balls with meat. Marcello chatted with the entire table and answered questions about the area as well as customary Italian sayings and "to do's and not to do's" which followed up with hilarious conversations! While we were eating, he asked for some spices for the pasta and warned the table this wasn't your normal chili peppers and to be careful, but watched as we loaded up and we all laughed at each other with our facial expressions. After that we walked to a wonderful gelato shop. Marcello told us that we had to have something other than the standard chocolate and vanilla (if we really wanted to experience authentic and unique Rome gelato, try the exotic flavors). From there we departed, but the group as a whole had a wonderful time and our guide was amazing! I'd recommend doing this on an empty stomach and wearing something comfortable on your feet. Marcello was a great guide, very informative and very personable.

Paid 73 Euro for 3 people skip the line with guide
So went though guide tour have to watch people drink water on fountain for 20 min. And alike stupidity. Can only enter St. Peter's Basilica from sixteen chapel with guide. When in sixteen chapel with guide. Look in roof art. Guide left without warning on radio. So we have to go back to beginning. Talk to information telling situation that guide left with in sixteen chapel, tell us to go back to sixteen chapel since we have group radio and sticker. Again we go back and get refused. Went all out again back to agency to complain. To us 73 euro were for radio and guide. However already paid 21 euro for guide. And there say church entry free and no line at evening so there would only refund 1 euro pperson. After refuse to refund, she ask if 73 euro is lots of money? With demining voice. This were however were abiut princepel. Never meet this kind of staff in Italy before. Never use this company. So many other companies here.

Exactly as described
Everyone in our group liked this activity. The transportation was great...new mini vans that were very comfortable. Our driver was very friendly and helpful. The Pope’s residence was nice, but the grounds were even better.

Best Tour
I’m sorry in advance for possibly getting his name wrong, but it starts with a M and I think it’s Mina! He was amazing!!!! The tour was very informational and a lot of fun!! I booked this trip just within 12 hours and thankful there was still an opening! My mom and I had a great time!! If you are looking for a private tour definitely pick this company. Skipping the line must have saved us 1 1/2 hours! That alone was worth it! We felt like VIP the whole tour! We learned a lot and was not disappointed! Whenever I’m back and with friends I’ll be sure to book this same tour with this same company, so they can have a great experience like my mom and I did!

Skip-the-line Vatikan Tour of Vatikan Museum, St Peter's Basilica and Sistine Chapel
Great to pass all the queues as we were led into the Museum. Our friendly and experienced guide Pascuale really knew his stuff and pointed out all sorts of interesting facts and curiosities that we surely would have missed had we gone on our own. He was very knowledgable and could answer all the group's questions. The whole experience was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the Vatican.

Vatican tour
Very interesting tour of the Vatican museum, Sistine chapel and St Peter’s basilica. Full 3 hour tour and excellent service and knowledgeable tour guide Mina who really knew his stuff. Added benefit avoided the massive queue and walked straight in. Be warned though huge crowds but fortunately Mina has longest extendable stick with star fish at top so never lost our guide! Use of audio equipment made it easy to hear everything said.
