This is a review for a tour that I have not made as yet and can not cancel even thou it says can cancel up to 2 days before. It is 129 days before and no way to contact anyone at Tripavisor. You might be able to cancel a hotel but not a tour. I will have to have my bank block any payment to Tripadvior which should not be necessary.

This is a must-see and I am surprised I hadn't heard of it sooner. In fact, I met some Americans who live part-time in Rome and they'd never heard of it either. The collection itself is extraordinary and it's worth the effort of arranging your schedule so that you can visit it when it's open. It's on a par or better than the Borghese (with more paintings and less sculpture). And I must compliment my guide who is expert in knowledge of the collection, history and more! This is personalized and is therefore much better than canned tours where they skip what I might want to know more about - you can stop and ask about anything you want to know about - architecture, decor, paintings, sculpture, the family, the story behind the cannonball, etc. I highly recommend this one.

Never happened guide did not get tickets expect full refund. She never got tickets claimed PayPal issue.

This was my favorite tour that we did while in Rome. Our guide was very knowledge and answered all my history geek questions. She also appreciated my getting excited over little things like the Mithraeum that was tucked away alongside the amphitheater. It was a great way to see the Italian countryside and get a feel for the ancient Etruscans and Romans. We saw the Borgia fortress and walked on one of the earliest Roman roads - which were in good shape! I really recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the early history of Italy or who is interested in archeology. The guide is truly an expert and had a deep understanding of the subject. I learned so much and I'm very appreciative of her.
