The tour was very good. We hesitated at first to pay somebody, but it really was worth it. He was super knowledgeable and we actually walked not just but all the way around all the other buildings. I highly highly recommend it because if not, you’re just walking around the ruins, but you don’t really know the history. Giovanni was our Tour guide he was fantastic.

Giovanni was very knowledgeable and kind. We loved our Coliseum visit with him as our guide. We recommend this tour to really appreciate the coliseum and vicinities.

Great communication regarding meeting point and collecting tickets. The guides were very knowledgable and great fun, which made the whole experience so memorable. It was great that the group size are less than eight people.

It was an extremely hot day and some of our group left because of the heat, but our guide Marco forged on and gave a very informative tour. He included several drawings that helped illustrate what the Amphitheater would have looked like in its heyday. I’m really glad we took the tour. After the tour we used our entry to the the Forum for a self guided tour.

1. We were told it was a small group tour. I consider a small group to be up 12 people with face to face interaction/commentary and a conversation with that person when possible. When I was told there would be a maximum of 20 I hesitated but was again convinced we would receive a personalised tour. The tour group ended up 28 people. This is not a small group and there was no personalised experience. It was so disorganised because of the numbers and they had to get a second person to help herd the group as the group kept getting separated and we wasted time doing this. We started about 30 minutes late as they had to get headphones working for all the people. 2. The headphones consistently broke. I used 3 pairs during the tour. They admitted they were rubbish and that is why they carried so many spares. 3. While the guide was friendly and could speak reasonable English, it was heavily accented. You could understand him if he was stopped and talking face to face but most of the time he had to walk up to 25/30 metres in front of the group talking into his radio with his back turned. It was impossible to understand the commentary most of the time most of it because of that and also because we had to rely on poor headphones, and interference on the headphones from other groups commentary. In addition he was constantly being contacted by the office I assume on his phone, so his commentary was also constantly interrupted. 4. We were told strongly not to buy tickets from any of the people that sell them around the coliseum as they are dishonest etc. and we were lucky to have booked with a reputable company like them. Very surprised when our guide said hello and interacted friendly with all of them and one of these "dishonest" people actually took us to their office to buy tickets for the tour. This person quoted us 70Euro for the tour but the office charged us 90E which I only noticed when I asked to check the transaction.

We had a great experience on this guided tour, despite the scorching temperature. Our guide, Amir, was very nice, he paced our tour according to our group of 13 persons (4 seniors, 5 adults & 4 kids under 14 years old) needs. I was impressed by Amir deep knowledge of historical facts related with Colosseum & Rome (and not only). He made this tour very interactive, asking us about our opinions and providing us with interesting infos. Definitely recommend Amir and the Italy in Love Tours.

Our tour guide, Giovanni, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour which kept everyone engaged as we waited in line for the group entrance & security. Very enjoyable tour.

We had an amazing guided tour of the colosseum with unguided tour of the underground. When we came up onto the arena level it was amazing! We had a great tour guide who's name was Ionut, he was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. He also took some great photos of us. We then went onto Palatine Hill and the Forum but after being in the colosseum for quite a while we wanted to cut it short to get drinks. It was so hot that day! Thank you Ionut for a great insight into the history of the colosseum.

I recommend this tour if you only want to visit the Colosseum! The tour guide was very good and friendly, my children loved it too. The price is reasonable for the amount of people in the group (very small and intimate group)

Ionut was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We went to Rome as family for our big summer vacation and this tour made it memorable.

LIARS. We booked a tour with them we paid extra and waited for an extra hour to have a tour with 15 people only. When the tour started there were 40 people (as you can see in the picture). Tour companies like this should not be in business, they straight out lied to us. It’s extremely upsetting that they used a bait and switch scam on us. When questioned the tour guide and the person who sold me the tour about the size of the group all I got was a well we have headphones, it’s not a problem. Yes it is a problem because you LIED!!! Do not book with this company.
