I booked a transfer from Civitavecchia port to our hotel in Rome for 8 people following our cruise. The driver was waiting, as arranged, when we disembarked. The transfer was quick, effortless and very reasonably priced. Likewise with our transfer a few days later from the hotel to the airport. The cars were clean and comfortable. Our drivers were friendly, helpful and prompt with no waiting time. My correspondence with Sarah in the office was always dealt with promptly and courteously. I would recommend this company for their great service.

We recently used Italy Privat Excursions for two tours, and we were very happy with them. Sarah in the office is so kind and responsive, and I really appreciate her working with us on our private tours. We had a group of nine, so we needed to take two vans. The first tour was a Pre-Cruise Tour from Rome to Civitavecchia. Our guides were Emiliano and Claudio, and they were wonderful! It was so nice to have the private tour because we told them where we were interested in going, and they made it happen. They did a great job navigating through Rome, and we went to multiple locations, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, St. John's, and the Pantheon. They also had recommendations, including a church with a Michelangelo statue and a hilltop location with nice view of Rome. Afterwards, they were able to drop us off right in front of the cruise terminal. Likewise, we were really happy with our second tour, which was scheduled in Messina a week later. At the last minute, our ship changed the port to Catania (about 60 miles away), but Sarah was able to change our pickup location with no stress to us. Our guides were Alessandro and Giuseppe, and they did a great job. We did a Godfather Country tour, and the whole area was beautiful. We also went to Taormina, which we all enjoyed. We were very happy with our tours and guides, and we will definitely use them again if/when we return to Italy.

Excellent communications from Sarah and very prompt pick up in comfortable vehicles both from Rome hotel to Civitecchia and return. Vehicles were clean, female travelers felt safe, English speaking and helpful with tourism tips from Francesco and Livio. Thank you from Darice & Michele - would definitely use again.

We booked a tour from the port of Naples during our cruise. Alex, our driver, picked up on time with a friendly greeting. Our tour consisted of visits to Positano and Sorrento. On our way to the towns, Alex gave us information about Naples and Amalfi coast which was very interesting. Alex gave us ample time to explore Positano and Sorrento before dropping us off at the port of Sorrento to take the ferry to Capri. I highly recommend Alex and Italy Private Excursions!

We used Italy Privat Excursions for transportation to/from FCO and the port of Civitavecchia. Working with Sarah to get everything booked and confirmed was so easy. We arrived over an hour early and Sarah was able to get someone dispatched to meet us. When we returned, it was going to be a tight timeframe to meet our driver and get to the airport to make our flight. Our driver was right there to greet our ship, parked at the closest spot and had a vehicle large enough to comfortably accommodate 8 of us and all our baggage. He deftly navigated the tight streets and got us to the airport safely and on time. I'd absolutely use them again!

This was an excellent tour. We added the Vatican experience and it was a private tour with just me, my sister, and her husband. Peter was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. He took the time to explain all of the sites, even showing before and after pictures of all of the ruins in Rome.

I booked Italy private tours for 2 full day tours and transfers to and from civitavecchia port for 6 adults. I received replies to my enquires within 12 hours due to time difference. The drivers were very professional and in particular Marco who we had for 2 full day tours one to Pompeii and another to my home roots. His driving and his care to his guests was impeccable. I spent four days in Rome with my family at the beginning of Eastern week and Sarah organised the transportation, from and to airport as well as moving around Rome. Because we were four adults and five children and Rome regulations don not allow for minibuses driving thru the center, we had two vehicles. Everything went as planned. Thanks to Sarah we were able to see and enjoy Rome in a short stay.

We used Italy Privat Excursions for our airport transfer, they were recommended to us by another top ranked company who was full that day. Sarah was very easy to communicate with and responded to emails so quickly. Our driver was waiting right at the pick up spot outside of baggage claim with a sign with our name. He brought us to the van and it was extremely comfortable, clean, and water was provided. Our driver did not speak much English (most airport transfers in Rome do not guarantee an English speaking driver, they are reserved for tours) which was not a problem at all. He confirmed the name of our hotel and got us there safely! Would definitely use this company again.
