This was our first time using With Locals and it was wonderful. From my initial visit to the website to the end of our tour the experience was flawless. Margherita was an amazing tour guide. She showed us all the sites we had on our list to see and some things we would never have known to look for. Her knowledge of Bologna and stories of the town's history were just what we were looking for. I have already recommended her to two other travelers. My husband has some mobility issues and Margherita was very considerate of his needs.

Guiseppe was phenomenal! We squeezed in the tour to Bologna on our way to Venice from Ravenna ( after a cruise). Guiseppe was communicative, checking in a couple of days before to see when we would be arriving. We were going to be early and Guiseppe switched things around to accommodate our schedule. What an amazing experience! We ate so much and could not eat everything, but Giuseppe insisted we take the leftovers which turned out to be a welcome treat when we got to Venice. Giuseppe was thoughtful & a very knowledgeable host on our food tour. We enjoyed learning about the local food and traditions of Bologna as well as food & drink customs in other regions. He was friendly & made you feel very welcome. Great idea to do on the first day, as it introduced us to Bologna, the typical food, walking around the Piazza Maggiore, and areas it helped introduce Bologna to us. Mom, 18 yr son & 23 yr daughter. Luca met us at the time we'd designated and gave us a short history of Bologna before taking us around the historical center to see the amazing towers, porticos and Churches of the city. He took us several places to taste a little bit of everything from balsamic vinegar to gelato --we could barely move by the end of the evening! Luca is a great conversationalist and it felt like having dinner with a friend.

Hermes was so good. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We got to try a lot of the must have bologna foods! We also saw some interesting places!
