About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 494breef0 contributionsHighly Recommend this class with Andrea!!Such a wonderful pasta making experience! This was something we really wanted to do while in Italy and we got so lucky with our experience. We signed up for this class as a group of four and were so surprised when we arrived at the class and were the only people there! Andrea was our instructor and he was fantastic. He was very fun and made the entire process really simple! He chatted with us throughout the entire process and gave us some great recipes to use our pasta making skills in the future and also had some great suggestions for local restaurants and dishes to try, which we really appreciated! He was lovely to chat with and our pasta turned out great! We also got a bottle of wine to go along with our meal :) Definitely a new skill that we will continue to use throughout our lives. Thank you Andrea!! Can’t say enough good things about our time with him. 10/10 recommend this pasta class in Como!!Written 9 November 2024
- keri4320 contributionsMenaggio Villa Vigoni TourWe booked (short notice) this fantastic 2 hour walking tour to see Villa Vigoni and to learn more about Menaggio. Giuseppe is a great guide. He spoke in both Italian and English to our group of six people. He is friendly and knowledgeable-shared so much history and information about the Como area. Would definitely recommend! (We learned about Slow Lake Como company through the Turismo Menaggio website!)Written 12 October 2024
- 164craigp0 contributionsBest cooking class in the areaPaulo does a fantastic job explaining the process and enjoying what he does. We had a great time making some different pastas and then sitting down to a 3 course meal with the folks that weee in the class. Great spot for the class overlooking Lake Como. Highly recommendWritten 10 October 2024
- ronbabs240 contributionsAmazing Experience! We took part at the dinner class in Tremezzina. Let's say that our chef Andrea was amazing, he taught us to make tagliatelle in a very easy way and magtagliati. We had a sauce made with fresh vegetables that we picked up in the garden. Everything was just wonderful. Thanks so much Andrea!!! After the dinner we had the chance to walk in this nice park on the lakeshore very close to the location while waiting for the boat to get back to Bellagio. We will be back for risotto class!!!Written 25 September 2024
- NYS1000 contributionsSlow Lake Como Food Tour - do itWonderful tour. Daniel our tour guide was engaging, knowledgeable, and spirited. In addition to being exposed to local foods and wine, we were treated to the history of Como and the lake. We were a small group of 4 which allowed personal attention. Highly recommend and would say it’s good value for money.Written 14 September 2024
- SarrahGallegos0 contributionsIncredible Experience! This pasta making class was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy this year. The instructor was very friendly and engaging and shared lots of old world pasta stories from his childhood. We learned how to make two different pastas- one with egg and one with water. The instructor kept the champagne flowing and the conversation fun and interesting. We learned how to create and rest the pasta then we learned how to make some shapes by hand and using the pasta roller. At the end, the instructor prepared the pasta and served it with two different types of authentic home made sauces, a red bolognese sauce and a green pesto sauce. One of us in our group was vegetarian so they made her a vegetarian bolognese sauce. Both were delicious and served with focaccia bread and coffee with a delicious Italian dessert to finish. Be sure to not eat before you take this class because they will fill you up, I promise! For all of the eating that I did in Italy, I would say this was probably my favorite pasta that I ate the entire trip. I was so inspired by this class that when I got home, I ordered a pasta roller and the special pasta flour so I can duplicate this pasta here in the US. Many thanks to you and your staff for making this one of the greatest adventures!Written 26 August 2024

- Brandon M0 contributionsA beautiful hike with a wonderful guideOur guide for the day was Michale and he was amazing! The trail was stunning and not too difficult although you need to be careful in a few places. Beginning hikers would be more than comfortable on this, just be sure to wear sturdy tennis shoes at a minimum.Written 11 May 2024

- jamietZ5100SV0 contributionsLovely Host and Overall ExperienceArianna was a very generous teacher and host. We had a wonderful time learning about pasta and her town of Tremezzo. She took us to the back garden and she harvested some fresh tomatoes and fresh herbs to use in our dishes. She also offered to take photos of us throughout the class. Highly recommend based on Arianna’s guidance and generosity alone! Note that we did the dinner class which does not have the location well indicated on the Trip Advisor website. We called in advance to make sure we were headed to the right location. We had to do additional research to ensure making our ferries. Luckily Arianna was very helpful with this as well.Written 12 September 2023
- 698bradp0 contributionsWonderful hike, great guide, and special lunchWe loved our guide Daniele from the start - knowledgable with a great sense of humor. Up the funicular to Brunate, then a moderately challenging hike (a little off camber and some storm washout) along the old roman paths, stopping for an amazing lunch in Piazzaga. We descended from lunch to the charming village of Torno where we picked up a boat back to Como.Written 12 September 2023
- kmcn5520 contributionsAmazing experience!Paolo is an amazing host and teacher! He taught us to make two different types of pasta which both tasted excellent. All of the staff were so helpful and welcoming - they set us up a table outside with an amazing view of the lake from the hotel. Everything about this experience was amazing and we could not recommend it enough!Written 23 August 2023

Unforgettable view from the top of the Castle. The walk in the Park was fun, chatting with the guide and listening to stories and curiosities of the city. A little bit of exercise rewarded by a glass of wine, good food and a unique panorama!

A truly unexpected little adventure. It’s not only fun and interesting but it’s different from all the other activities you could do in town, living the unique experience of a private visit of the Castle with a friendly guide and enjoying the incredible view from the top of the Tower. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

This is a unique and interesting tour, to give a completely different experience and perspective of Como. We met Daniela at the meeting point and enjoyed our 2 hour tour in a group of 6.
The walk up to the castle is on a cobblestone road so best in sturdy footwear. We didn’t take sufficient water but our obliging guide bought some for us, just as well. It is a moderately strenuous walk that does require some attention to avoid stumbling. Definitely worth the climb to the castle and then the rooftop for complete panoramic views in all direction.
