Last Supper
Elena was wonderful. I was so glad we had her guide us to see the Last Supper. She gave us so much insight and knowledge about the painting, the process and history of the Last Supper.
I highly recommend you use her services.

If you don't ask...
Ok, we did this a couple of years ago but this review wasnt published for some reason.🤷🏻‍♀️

We hadn't booked in advance for tickets and online it was fully booked. I tried a few different companies to get tickets though with no luck. We decided to go early the next morning to the ticket office to see if they had any for that day. Upon arrival (about 8.15) there were signs all over the doors and inside saying 'sold out for the next 2 weeks'.

Decided to try anyway and managed to get two tickets with a guided tour for 3.30 that day!

Fantastic experience. The tour I felt was lacking, and you only get 15 minutes in the room, but because they keep the numbers low there were only about 20 of us in the room which helped enjoy the experience more.

Dear Morgan, thank you for your review. As you stated this happened a few years ago. Now the situation is really very different. Beacuse of Covid-19 restrictions, tickets are no longer on sale at the Last Supper ticket office. It is always necessary to reserve ticket in advance. Number of tickets on sale are reduced and opening hours of the Last Supper Museum as well. Looking forward the situation will be better..... Best regards.

Not dependable for tickets
We brought tickets a couple of weeks in advance in the United States and received them from the company. When we got to Milan they said they are canceling due to lack of space. We really wanted this so we paid extra ahead of time and didn’t get what was paid for. We didn’t come all this way just to be told sorry. Our experience so far shows that the company is not dependable for getting tickets.

One of art history’s greatest triumphs and biggest tragedies
Nov 2019
The painting covers over 40 sq m of the wall of Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie and many think it may be Leonardo da Vinci’s greatest painting. Because it was painted using an experimental oil-based medium it gave the painting subtle tonalities but the downside was that the paint surface quickly deteriorated. And so for centuries it was subjected to invasive restorations and heavy-handed retouchings.
Leonardo’s masterpiece depicts Christ revealing that one of his disciples will soon betray him; horror and disbelief are etched on every face but Jesus remains resigned. (spoiler alert: It was Judas, who da Vinci depicts as spilling salt on the table). Each figure is unique and memorable, down to the smallest details. There is no doubt that The Last Supper is one of the world’s most poignant and beautiful works of art.
The phenomenon now known as overtourism is frustrating everybody: People don’t just want to see The Last Supper: they want the picture for social media to prove it. Many don’t look at the painting at all; they focus on their smartphone screens. Some even turn their backs, beam their finest Mona Lisa smile, and take a selfie.
Only 30 people allowed in at a time, so it is a challenge to get a ticket if you don’t book well in advance.
Do not to take conspiracy theories and Dan Brown novels too seriously….there are no hidden symbols. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

use a guide - its worth it
Jan 2020
You must see the Last Supper when you are in Milan. The painting is quite extraordinary and the story of how it has been protected over time is also amazing. The tour guide is worth the money because they explain all this. This is the only booking we made with a guide. Book ahead as it can book out, small groups only are allowed.

The history of it leaves one astounded!
Dec 2019
A must visit in Milan, The Last Supper had always been on my bucket list. The experience was of course amazing, but I would rather first talk about my experience of how I got the tickets. Our trip to Italy was planned only a few weeks before it happened, so the tickets to The Last Supper on their official website were obviously sold out. After scanning this forum and several others, I understood that some people were able to get tickets by calling the office, but most others couldn't as there was no response on that phone line. I didn't want to go for private tours (because of the significant price difference of course), so I kept calling that number for 3 days. I would spend an hour every day, calling them at different times each day, and on day 4, to my surprise, someone picked up, and said that they had adequate slots for the two days I would be in Milan. I chose the one with the English guide (which I personally felt was completely worth it), so my ticket cost me 15.5 Euros (10 for ticket + 2 for advance booking + 3.50 for English guide). I called them on 5th December 2016 to get tickets for 28th December, 2016. The telephone operator spoke perfect English and the transaction was very smooth. I got my tickets mailed a minute after the phone call. I called them at 2 PM CET, and my call was answered in about 5-8 minutes. To someone who has been trying to get tickets through the official site, I would suggest that you keep trying until one of them answers the phone.

The experience of the painting itself was enthralling, and the size and the scale of the painting left us amazed. Opting for the English guide is useful for those who would like a more personal and detailed explanation of the painting, along with its history. To sum it all, it was a wonderful 15 minutes we spent in there. I am so glad we didn't give up on the effort of trying to get tickets at such short notice.

Disappointed before leaving for Italy
I booked these tickets through Viator weeks ago. I just received an email that my tour for tomorrow was canceled and refunded. It seems a common thread here. Now we don’t get to see The Last Supper! Any suggestions?
