Culture should help us with our everyday lives, and make us understand how we, and the world around us are changing through
literature, cinema, music, philosophy, art and science.
This assumption is the key factor in the Foundation’s activities and the thought behind Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli choice in artwork, mostly from the XX and XXI century, and location, a former distillery dating back to 1910. The renovation of the ‘campus’ is made up of three ex-industrial buildings and a new tower signed by Rem Koohlhaas and OMA.
The result is the so-defined golden outskirt, into a signature complex sure to inspire art and architecture lovers alike. The permanent collection is a showcase of Prada and Bertelli’s personal heritage and taste in art, the history of the collections as well as several exciting temporary
exhibits all year through. After the tour, it’s possible to have lunch in the retro-chic Wes Anderson designed Bar Luce (not included in the tour price).
