    Half closed
We were excited to walk in to the museum. We bought the tickets at the ticket counter. They handed us a map but failed to tell us half the museum was closed. We were still charged full price. It was upsetting to miss out on half the experience we were hoping for.

    An interesting small museum.
This is based on the collections created by the original owner of the building. Some interesting renaissance paintings along side ornate watches and other items. Not a critical place to visit but worth a look if time allows.

    Very pleasantly surprised.
The museum is not large in size but houses a handful of major canvases. Among the major works there is a beautiful Rafael portrait.

Museum in the house of a private collector
This museum houses the private collection of Poldi Pezzoli and is a delightful selection of pieces of quality based in a private palace. Unfortunately much of the house was destroyed in Allied bombing raids, but the study of Mr Poldi Pezzoli remains and is a splendid Gothic Revival space with lovely stained glass and exuberant decoration.

An excellent museum with a very diverse collection
This is really an excellent museum with a very diverse collection and some real masterpieces. Some collections may only interest specific people. Among the most interesting collections I found the ancient textiles (from early Christian Egypt) and the time pieces. But this museum really has a lot to offer.

    What a stunning collection!
Full of great paintings by famous artists, including Canaletto, Botticelli, Piera Della Francesca, Mantegna, and ceramics, glass, armour, a lifetime collection of stunning diversity and artistic value. Here you will find paintings you have seen in books on great art. Impossible to do justice to this lovely collection in a short review.

    Another excellent museum in Milan
I visited the Museo Poldi Pezzoli in January 2020. It is another excellent museum in Milan. The ticket cost 14 euros. I first went to see Leonardo da Vinci's Litta Madonna. Then I went up the stairs to the first floor which has an unbelievable variety of artifacts and items. This includes paintings (for example - Botticelli, Bellini, Mantegna and many others), frescos, porcelain and China, Murano glass, clocks, watches, jewelry. Back on the ground floor is a collection of armor and weapons. I really enjoyed this museum.

Very small museum rich of masterpieces
It is a little museum very close to la Scala in Manzoni street. There are incredible mastterpieces like "Madonna Litta" from Leonardo da Vinci, coming from Hermitage St Petersburg, together other "Madonna with child" from artist from his workshop like Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio and Marco d’Oggiono together with Francesco Napoletano. Some private collection of 19th century, owned to Poldi Pezzoli family, ancient furnitures, colour window glasses, theme rooms. Interesting!

    Must see in Milan
An amazing collection, wonderfully displayed, in a very nice 19th cent. palace. Each room has a different theme. We really loved it. This museum is part of the 4 houses pass in Milan.

Superb masterpices of Italian art in a house setting
Italy is blessed with many attractive collections of great art. Poldi Pezzoli offers an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy some great masterpieces in an intimate house setting. From trecento masters like Bernardo Daddi to quatrocento giants like Piero della Francesca, Giovani Bellini, Mantegna, Botticelli and Polaiollo the visitor can peacefully absorb the beauty and sincerity of one of the greatest epochs of world art. On top of all this at the present time there is a special exhibition on Leonardo and his legacy with the wonderful Madonna Litta that was brought from the Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg. A good reason to run and visit this delightful museum before this painting disappears again the foreboding Hermitage.

    Excellent small museum
This museum is about a block away from the LaScala building and worth visiting. You will need to store your backpack in the lockers provided. Photos are allowed (no flash). This is the private collection of one man and it is housed in his mansion. He gifted the house and the collections to the city when he passed away.

    Disappointing
I did not have a good visit. Lots of security guards standing around talking very loudly. One security guard was having a conversation on his phone. It detracted from the visit. I gave up and left.

    Intimate House Museum, Beautiful Art
House museum with an impressive collection of art. Great setting to view Italian renaissance art. The building itself is its own piece of art. It had many fewer people than the Pinocoteca di Brera.

    Wonderful Museum
One of my favorite museums not only in Milan but elsewhere. It is small enough to tour in an hour or two. Many interesting and outstanding items of art and objects have been added in recent years; however, the museum is not as "user friendly" as before.

Excellent museum. w spent over 3 hours in the museum. Definitely worthwhile to visit. Take an audio guide to fully understand everything you are seeing as ellas the history behind it.

Poldi Pezzoli is a lovely home with a nice collection of antiquities. Even more impressive is the lace collection which is sadly pushed to the side down a hallway. It is even nicer than the lace collection in Burano, Italy. To get the best value, get the museum pass to see other homes in the city.

Housed in an elegant Milanese mansion which used to be the residence of a private collector to whom the museum is named after, Poldi Pezzoli is a museum and gallery with permanent exhibitions that vary from paintings to sculpture and from armory to clocks. All items, organized according to theme, are beautifully displayed in a way that not only doesn’t bore you but increases your interest the further you explore the collections. Though small in numbers its treasures are masterpieces, especially paintings like Botticelli’s Virgin Mary with baby Jesus and the book, Dead Christ among Saints, Hayez’s self portrait among friends and works by Mantegna, Bellini and Lucas Cranach. The museum often houses periodic exhibitions which are included in ticket price and are worth attending.

I passed by it a thousand times, always promising myself that I would pay a visit sooner or later. And I finally did it! I was pleased to discover a truly beautiful and interesting museum that immediately communicates the passion and care with which the precious and interesting works of the collection were collected and preserved.

Museum in a historic building in Milan a few steps from La Scala. I went there to admire the beautiful paintings by Piero della Francesca, part of the Augustinian Politician gathered for the occasion and from other important museums. But the museum on the first floor also has a rich collection of works of art (especially paintings) from the Renaissance and late Renaissance up to the 18th century and ranging from Sodoma... to Raffaellino del Garbo... to Botticelli... to Raphael... to Tiepolo... to Canaletto... to Mantegna and many others. Also interesting is the weapons room on the ground floor worth a visit.

What can we say about the Poldi Pezzoli museum? Which is a marvel! Nothing else can be said.
The exhibition dedicated to Piero della Francesca's polyptych is magnificent, really well structured.
Very kind staff.
A special thank you to Mrs. Cristina, a volunteer of exquisite kindness and helpfulness.
One visit is certainly not enough.

Wonderful house with a very interesting collection. It's worth it just for the environments, which are truly beautiful. The temporary one on Piero della Francesca is also beautiful.
