Nice view from the top
Sep 2020
Nice city view from the roof, interesting architecture.

Getting the audio guide requires ID or passport as a deposit, and it is not mentioned in the ticket description. I payed for the audio guide, but I did not have ID with me, so was not able to get it. So, only 3 stars rating.

Definitely worth purchasing!

We didn't have to wait in the ticket line and were ushered right in. It was well worth the cost considering the amount of time you would have to spend in the regular line waiting.

Nice simply because of the views from the roof top
Dec 2019 • Couples
Its one of the most known landmarks in Italy, but the best thing about this tour is the views from the roof top and the amazing architecute that leaves you speechless
You can get tickets online and skip the long que times.
Its also best to start from the roof and then as you walk down you enter inside the cathedral right from the steps. If you do the cathedral first, you will have a line there and also a line to the roof since its a different entrance

A perfect experience, regardless of your religion
The cathedral is still being renovated. Currently, there are some pieces of the marble structure which are newer, and more are being replaced as I'm writing this.
If you want to see the very old, gloomier, chipped facade pieces - hurry up :)

The inside of the cathedral is amazing! The facade is the epitome of detailed architecture and design. The sarcophagus, to me, was a bit lacking as an experience, but it's still nice to be able to feel the atmosphere. The stairs tothe rooftops don't have much of a view as they are mostly inside the side of the building and are very tight. The rooftop is magical and totally worth a trip to Milan. There are a great deal of statues on the way up and down, so keep in mind to stop and look around (just don't stop while passing through a door - give those behind you enough room to go around you :3)

I won't add much to what's already been said regarding descriptions of the experience, so I'll focus on the technical stuff:
If buying from the ticket office:
You need a ticket with a number from the entrance machines. There are people handing them over. They are for the cash payments/non-chip cards.
The machines are for cards with chips only. They are much faster and cause less pain.

If the queues in front of the entrances to the steps/lifts are long, there's a chance ticket sales will be stopped early. Buy online in advance (you cannot do it on the same day as far as I could see) or use the card machines. Cashiers are the last ones to react, and it would be discouraging to end up with no ticket after a 30+-min wait.

Tickets are non-refundable and valid for 3 days after purchase/validation.

Enjoy!

Just an amazing place to visit
Oct 2019
This is one of the most beautiful cathedral in the world, it must be visited during daylight and in the evening to fully appreciated the beauty of it - The interior do breath of real history, climbing the staircase is a great experience which is rewarded once you reach the rooftop and you can enjoy the view of the City.

The Milan Cathedral is located in the city downtown so you can enjoy great espresso in the local bars, easy to reach since a very efficient Subway drops you directly there

The interior isn't worth it
I'd been about 20 times in Milan, but this was the first time I've got inside the cathedral. I have to say that it isn't worth it.
The Duomo exterior is something amazing, one of the greatest expression of North Italian and European gothic architecture, whereas the interior is totally unimpressive.
You won't miss anything, if you have a look just outside.

The cathedral is impressive, big and very rich.
Climbing to the rooftop by stairs (250 stairs) is an enjoyable activity and the rooftop view is great.

Beautiful
Jul 2019 • Solo
This building is so beautiful to look at from the main square day and night. Although the walk up the stairs was steep it was worth it when I got out on the rood top and seen the amazing views of Milan. It was 35° when I went up there so to say it was hot was an understatement. The architecture of the building was stunning and I didn't want to go back down. A must see when in Milan!
