Having used guide-drivers to take us from one place to another and using GetYour Guide in various countries, I expected to have a driver who had knowledge of the region we were traveling in Italy. Our driver didn’t speak Italian (we are first language English speaking but also Italian) which was disappointing as he didn’t know much about the regions we were traveling. His driving was extremely fast with lots of tailgating before passing another vehicle. It would have been better to book this type of tour through a tour company, not GetYourGuide, that contracted the trip through a car service - not a guide service.

We booked a tailored private transfer to take 5 of us from our hotel in Milan Airport to Tirano to catch the Bernina Express. We arranged for a 2 hour stop at Varenna on Lake Como along the way. Romana in the office was great to deal with tailoring the trip to our needs and answered all our queries promptly. Our driver Dino picked us all up on time and was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice easy drive and arrived at our destination in plenty of time. Much less stressful than catching trains with all our luggage. We had used this service in 2019 for transfers between Berlin and Prague and then on to Innsbruck so didn’t hesitate to contact them again for this trip. Very happy. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.
