About
We will leave the small and charming Treviso, made of medieval arcades and frescoed facades, to cycle along its waterway: Il Sile. Inside the Regional Natural Park we will be able to enjoy glimpses of the Venetian villas and the ancient mills that worked cereals from Venice. We will pass by the wrecks of the old freight barges, sunk when the river trade has become too slow for modern rhythms. We will experience the wealth of fauna of this river, lush and delicate, without neglecting the tastes and flavors typical of the Venetian culture.

- Laura N0 contributionsDon't forget dry pantsWe're from Germany and hired a kayak for two persons. Besides wet pants, the tour was very nice and easy to do. Many swans on the river - very romantic. The owner was super gentle and gave us many tips for day trips for the rest of our holidays. Additionally we get a dry bag for our backpack and free drinks (water, juice, beer ..whatever we wanted). - travelmak0 contributionsGreat funRecommended by our hotel, we just had to do some kayaking down the gentle river Sile, ten minutes drive outside Treviso. Run by Marco, the whole operation is small but very friendly. There are two options (a) upstream 3km and back stopping at a bar half way, or (b) 8km downstream stopping at a bar half way and ending at Casale sur Sile, where Marco gives you a bike to return to base along mostly new cycle paths (small bit of road). We did the latter in a double kayak (tip - if you have a bad back like me get a kayak with some support). It's good fun and make sure you are hungry that evening. It's not very dignified getting out on the two occasions but who cares! A free cold beer back at base was most welcome. Both surprised we got back without falling into the river, hooray.Written 14 September 2015
- RichandAlix0 contributionswater load of fun!Travelsport was recommended by our hotel and we're so pleased they did! We have just returned from a days kayaking. A gentle route upstream, stopping at a recommended bar/restuarant for local tapas, before heading back downstream. Everyone at the centre was super friendly and helpful. There was even an ice cold beer waiting for us on our return. Very welcome as it's about 35 degrees Celsius today! Price for a days hire is very reasonable! Lots of other activities available from the centre. Will definitely return in the future. Thanks for a great day!Written 17 July 2015
