Hear live commentary from your guide
Choice of two afternoon departure times
Small-group boat tour with numbers limited to 11 people
What to expect
Choose from one of two afternoon departure times, and then meet your skipper-guide at central Venice’s Ospedele vaporetto (water bus) station. Your cruising vessel will be either a sampierotta fishing boat for smaller groups or a two-masted trawler known as a bragozzo for groups of 5 to 11 people. Both are traditional, handcrafted Venetian boats. Climb aboard and watch the iconic architecture of Venice recede as you make your way out into the Venetian Lagoon. Admire a new perspective of St Mark’s Basilica and its neighboring bell tower as you cross St Mark’s Basin, and see the 16th-century fortress of Sant’Andrea. Soak in the sights of Venice Lido, San Clemente Le Grazie and more as your guide points out highlights of the passing scenery. At a particularly beautiful spot between the islands of Giudecca and San Giorgio Maggiore, your skipper will stop the boat so the group can enjoy bobbing up and down on the lagoon’s calm waters and toast the idyllic scene with complimentary Prosecco (soft drinks also available).  As the sun descends towards the horizon, see the majestic beauty of the Venetian islands bathed in a rosy glow. Continue learning about the history of this magical place as your guide steers the boat back toward central Venice, where city lights will soon be turning on. Say farewell to your guide and fellow passengers back at the original departure point at the end of your 2-hour cruise. Please note: from December to February, there is a maximum of 4 passenger per booking

A fantastic experience!
May 2021
My girlfriend and I enjoyed an absolutely lovely boat tour with Tommaso. We saw Venice from a different viewpoint and also got to learn more about some of the other islands in the lagoon. Tommaso is very knowledgeable about the city and its history, and taught us a great deal about topics as diverse as Venetian engineering and the plague. During the tour we also took our very best photo in Venice, with San Marco and Palazzo Ducale in the background, which we'll certainly keep in our living room for years. A fantastic experience! Grazie mille, Tommaso!

Amazing experience!!!!

Emotional tour! 2 hour of relax in the paradise of the laguna, with our skipper, polite and passionate for Venice, telling us a lot of stories about Venice, its history, traditions and culture. If you have the opportunity, take this cruise, you'll not regret of it. Thank you very much Tommaso for this beautiful experience!!!

Really nice trip
Sep 2020
We did a wonderful cruise with Tommaso in the northern lagune.
was a perfect trip mainly due to Tommaso`s incredible knowledge
of the entire area. His boat is just beautiful. For sure we will do other
trips with him once we are back in Venice.

Sunset cruise in Venice
Sep 2020 • Friends
The cruise was fantastic. Very educational. We saw all the islands around Venice and the access to the lagoon. We couldn’t appreciate the sunset because of some clouds (bad luck). The Prosecco was very good and boost the experience.

A great highlight of our trip!
Sep 2020
Tommaso was a fantastic guide, with a great local perspective! As it was only the two of us, he offered the option of going out around the islands which was spectacular in the evening sun. Tommaso gives a completely different perspective on the lagoon and the history of the lesser known islands that we found fascinating. It really brought the lagoon alive!

Tour on the north laguna and bird watching around the islands
Nov 2019
Tommaso was together very professional and very friendly. I made it for the schedules which was best for us, and choose the route allowing us together some cultural spots, as San Andrea island and its fort, as well an astonishing tour one the very wild place of the swamp, where we could see (as requested by us) a lot of birds), looking at Burano in the back !
we will do it again with pleasure
Thanks Tommaso !

Cancelled last minute and left disappointed
We only had 1 full day in Venice and were contacted late the day before to say they thought the weather would be too cold, windy, and rainy and that they would like to reschedule. I advised it was our only day in Venice and they decided that a decision would be made at 11am the next day.
Sure enough at 11am we were advised tour was cancelled, too late for us to make other arrangements, so we walked ourselves around the city with no local guide.
I had booked this tour weeks earlier and based on the extremely positive reviews was very excited. There wasn’t a drop of rain that afternoon and it was cold but we had brought heavy jackets in preparation. We were fully prepared to go on the tour so the cancellation was frustrating, and the refund through our bank is taking a few days.
I would suggest to the operator that rather than cancelling last minute to instead put together a plan B walking guided tour or at least reccomendations so tourists aren’t left with a wasted afternoon.

At first let me tell that I am happy that the only negative review that we received in 8 year that we are subscribed on TripAdvisor was made by someone that did not made a tour with us. We try to keep the quality of our service very high, that is the reason why we canceled the tour that day. The clients made the reservation through Viator and paid 158 euros for the trip, I think that for that sum of money they have the right to spend a relaxing and nice time on our boats. I can guarantee as a native Venetian with tens of years of experience on boat trips that the day when the clients made the reservation for the tour (the 30th of October) the weather conditions won't let them enjoy a nice and relaxing trip. The wind in the lagoon (most of the route is in the open water not in the small canals inside Venice) was 20-25 knots from North, it means cold wind and with 20-25 knots it means continous water spray and the clients would end up the trip soak of salty sea water and freezing cold. The temperature that afternoon was 10° C with a real feel on the boat (open boat in the open lagoon) of 3° C. The weather in the open water is much different than in the city, in the city you don't realize how much windy and cold can be in the open lagoon, most of all in a cold day at the end of October. You can wear warm jackets but for that situation you need professional garment. With 25 knots of winf and 1,5 meters high waves boat would roll and pitch all the time and probably they would have sea sick. It is true that it didn't rain in the afternoon but it rain in the morning and the weather bulletin gave a 60% of possibility of rain in the afternoon. The sky, of course was very cloudy. On the 30th in the morning I was out in the boat to see if it was possible to make the trip and finally I took the responsibility to decide not to make it, We are a commercial company, we provide tours and we make money with that so it is our interest to make the trip, we're not happy to cancel a tour (we loose money) but we prefer to loose money rather than to put our clients into an unplesant adventure. Regarding the refund, we did our best, we sent the refund request immediately after the cancellation, then the banks and the credit card companies have their time and there's nothing we can do about that. The client said that we should propose in alternative a walking tour but that is not possible at first because we do not have the license for that and second because we do not propose them, we are experts of boat tours, if we propose in alternative a walking tour the service would be amateurish. To advise the client about the bad weather we sent them a message 15 minutes after noon the day before the trip (short after the weather bullettin that comes out at noon) and anyway more than 24 hours before the trip saying to the clients that it was likely that the tour would be canceled and we would inform them if the tour would be canceled the day of the trip before noon (we try to see if it is possible to make the trip till the last bullietin). They had all the time to book something differend and the possibility to cancel the trip for free . The client says we should give reccomendations to our clients if the tour is canceled. We do not make it for a simple reason: we can't make it by our initiative as we are not a travel agency but if they would request any tip or alternatives, we would give them , it is not a problem at all (as you can read in many of the reviews, Venice offers a lot of different attraction) . We did not know their plans and preferences The only plan B we can have in this case is to try to reschedule the tour another day (something that was not possible as the client was in Venice for jut one day) or to refund the customer. We acted responsibly and following the interests of the client (that is to spend money to experience something nice). Tommaso Serantoni Owner

The guide was so entertaining. He was a big guy so full of character and knowledgeable about this magical city. He had a brilliant sense of humour too and the trip flashed by. I would strongly recommend this trip especially if you are with your partner. Thank you so much for a brilliant time. Kevin
