Meet your guide at the entrance to the Doge's Palace, where you can skip the line for express entrance. Don your provided audio headset to hear your guide clearly and embark on a 1-hour educational tour of one of Venice's most important buildings.
The Doge's Palace, an architectural masterpiece marrying Byzantine and Oriental styles, once greeted all ships entering the lagoon. Listen to your guide's commentary outlining the role of the building in the Duke's reign over the Republic of Serenissima. Today, this impressive building still represents the seat of Venetian political power.
Go back in time as you walk through the lavish rooms, up the gilded staircases and by important masterpieces by Veronese, Tintoretto and other artists of the time. Imagine the suffering of Venetian convicts as they crossed the Bridge of Sighs toward their imprisonment.
Your tour concludes at its departure point after 1 hour.

Our guide Rafael was fantastic with great stories and background of the many fascinating facets of the Doge Palace. We took our 7 and 11 year old who were dreading it - by the end they were mesmerized by the paintings and stories.
First off, this was worth the visit, but we didn't realize that we could combine this tour with the Basilica. I recommend combining the two tours vs. just seeing Doge's Palace. We enjoyed the palace and our tour guide really knew their stuff. I recommend...More

There are no limitations about dates, although if you purchase the ticket to avoid the line, you will have to up at the chosen time. If you are planning to stay in a hotel in Venice, my advice is don’t buy the ticket. Venice is crowded during the day due to the cruises that arrive early in the morning. After 6.30 pm you will feel the city is almost empty. So, after that hour, go and enjoy an amazing sunset with only a 5 minute waiting (you only can go upstairs taking the elevator). With regards to the Basilica, entrance to the church is free (no tickets needed; long lines and you wait outdoors, it closes at 5pm). But if you want to go to the terrace you need a special ticket. We took a tour because we wanted to understand something about this jewel and go upstairs to the terrace. It was absolutely worthy!
