Brian was the tour guide assigned to us and he did an amazing job. He was very insightful and patient with all of our questions. Look no further if you want a 5 star tour of Florence.

The tour was wonderful and Francesca did a fabulous job of giving us the historical context for many sites. We definitely recommend using Francesca

Great knowledgeable and friendly tour of the city
Francesco was a great guide—knowledgeable, interesting, engaging with our kids, and some great restaurant recommendations to boot.

My favorite tour from my trip
Our guide Bryan was absolutely incredible! He was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy talking about the history of the city. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Gret experience. The right guide is everything
Really good tour. Obviously, the place is crowded beyond crowded, but our awesome tour guide knew the system and how to quickly navigate everything. We booked a provate small group tour and it ended up only being the 3 of us. Iy was awesome!

An excellent walk through Florence’s highlights
This was a great tour in all respects. Our group size was eight which is ideal for navigating through large crowds and for getting close to the guide. Our guide was Francesco. Extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand, interesting information and always making sure no one got separated. He set a comfortable pace and enjoyed sharing his knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour and Francesco as a guide because it covered a lot of Florence’s highlights in a very efficient manner. Very well done. The only downside is that we wish we were staying longer in Florence knowing what we know now.

Great way to see Florence highlights!
Our tour guide, Brian, was awesome. We enjoyed seeing the highlights of Florence. This was an effective way to cover a lot of highlights in a short period of time, which was perfect for us, as we were only in town for one day. Our daughters (11 & 14) enjoyed the tour and it was a perfect blend of educational and enjoyable!

      Enchanting
Our guide was a woman born in Florence who move away then returned to now share her knowledge of this wonderful city. I appreciated her willingness to answer the many questions I and my wife had. She left us feeling a true connection to her city and greater understanding of its place in history. I highly recommend her. I apologize for not remembering her name.

      Wonderful experience!!
We had a fantastic experience with Francesco. We weren’t sure what to expect having never done a private tour before, but it was well worth the money and time. His knowledge of the city and history was phenomenal. He was patient with our questions and we feel like we received a “behind the scenes tour”. We left Florence wanting to come back for more.

      Fall in Florence
My husband and I enjoyed this tour and really wish we had allocated more time to explore Florence and sites such as the Duomo. Our one regret from our trip is only spending a half day in the city.

Nice mix of walking the city and seeing the David
This was my first time in Florence. So glad we started our stay with this walking tour. Brian, our tour guide, was tremendous. He not only provided historical information, but also helped with tourist information like great local "non-touristy" restaurants, tips on negotiating in the markets, and other "insider" knowledge.

Our guide, Paola was very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. She let us go at our own pace, and giving us insights beyond a guide book. We highly recommend her as a tour guide. Piazza San Marco was under a very high tide (we bought disposable boots to wade across the Piazza in shin-deep brackish water) and that meant we couldn't skip the line for the Basilica. Check the tides before you go if you can.

Long lines and massive crowds at world class sites are the bane of current travelers .
One solution albeit a costly one is to engage a knowledgeable guide on a private tour . We booked a "Skip the Line" of St. Marks and the Doges Palace in September and it was well worth the cost. These are magnificent sites and the private guide opens your understanding while lifting the rope lines providing immediate access.
Would recommend this tour to anyone who is seriously interested in these places who can afford the cost.

Was in Venice and thought this would be a highlight. We had come from Rome so had seen many churches already.

Pros- you do get to skip the line at the Basilica. The guide tried her best to explain what we were seeing but her English was not the best and she was not engaging. The tour is just the right length of time and they text you before the tour with the name of your guide

Cons-the entrance fee for the Doges Palace is not included in the price of the tour. It took us a while to find our guide under the lion where so many tourists are meeting guides. Our teens didn’t find it interesting beyond the beauty of the palace and the prison. I think a self-guided audio tour would have been better.

Dear drTX2 thank you or your feedback, it's always good to hear our customers comments and point of views. I am happy that you found the tour ok, but of course I admit that it would have been better that you had found it amazing like many other clients found it according to their reviews. I don't think that a self audio tour would have been better, at least because you can't ask questions and also because a self audio tour is very impersonal and "basic", while our guides are not. I am sorry that you found our guide's English not the best, usually our customers appreciate our guides' English but of course I admit this is also a very subjective issue. It's also very difficult to engage teenagers, so I am sorry that our guides didn't manage in this delicate task with your kids, I know she really did her best. The tickets for the Doge's Palace are not included but we reserve the skip the lines entrance, that you enjoyed (this is also something that audiogudes can't offer), this is mentioned in the description of the tour AND in the voucher that UNFORTUNATELY YOU DIDN'T HAVE WITH YOU the day of the tour. I always recommend my clients to bring the voucher with them the day of the tour because it mentions all the details (like meeting point or example), inclusions and exclusions of the tour to avoid surprises and issues. Last but not the least, regarding the meeting point, I think you met your guide 5 minutes after you called our office, fortunately we are available 24/7 in case of need, anyway she was just there in front of you with a sign. I admit the meeting point is in a busy spot, but this is also to maximize the time of the tour and to avoid that somebody gets lost as it often happens when the meeting point is in a less beaten area of Venice...getting lost in Venice is very easy and also in this case a guide can help you to avoid this, while a self audio guide can't. Thank you again for your comments! Elena

Me, my wife and daughter (age 21) had a great private tour with Rossana. I strongly recommend having a private tour, as we were able to tour the jails, dungeons, torture room and other areas of Doge's Palace that are not otherwise available to the general public. The information provided by Rossana was spot-on and she kept the tour at a solid pace (she understood that we like high-level, 10,000 foot view information - think dinner party conversation topics).

In spite of the slight flooded conditions of the City (normal for Winter), Rossana was unfazed and readily prepared. Our family has been fortunate to travel to many countries/cities with a private tour in each and this company has been one of the best - we highly recommend it and Rossana.
