Very good tour of the two islands
This is a good, easy tour of the two islands. I read many other bad reviews and was almost dissuaded but very glad we did it. The audio is not great, but it is exactly what we expected. A boat ride to the two islands with a demo of the glass blowing in murano. The timing was fine, it was very efficient. Well worth the money and I recommend this tour. It rained most of the day but we still enjoyed everything.

Beautiful just be wise to “tour tickets”
It was beautiful and clean. There’s no cars, buses or bicycles so all travel is by boat or foot. You can walk across the island in 45 mins in most cases. Be careful of the tour ticket companies. We had good and bad experiences. One company called “Headout” sold us tickets for a tour leaving from near the train station. Ad says train station, ticket says train station. Night before, we check exactly where by the station and it says it’s on the other side of Venice! Headout’s response was “ nothing we can do, it’s less than the 24 hr cancellation policy. Called twice, twice told someone would call back, twice no call. Stay away from this company, there’s plenty of others.

This is a very basic, touristy excursion. Not that it was bad, but just know you will spend most of your time on a boat traveling to the islands. You only have about 20 minutes to walk around in Murano after the glass demonstration and a little over an hour in Burano. So if you are wanting more time at the islands it might be better to book a public transport. Overall, not bad if you are looking for a quick excursion.

A Magical, Beautiful Island to Visit
Our Venice Lagoon Cruise to Burano (Murano wasn’t included in this tour) was organised through our Cosmos tour, the cost was approximately 30€ per person for a half-day ride. We cruised across the Venetian Lagoon to an island called Burano, just a 50-minute ride. Burano is a quaint little island, so pretty, colourful homes and shops, very neat and tidy, loved the stroll around this town. Burano is definitely charming and worth a visit, it is famous for their historic trade of lace work and culinary traditions. We had the opportunity to watch their lace making skills and listen to the lace making history, dated back many centuries. I loved what they had to share and offer, that I bought myself a handmade lace fan. There are many shops that look so inviting and delicious, but once I had seen the window display at Panificio Pasticceria Garbo, I couldn’t resist but go inside. Yes, I bought myself a bag of mixed biscuits and they were so delicious, you can’t buy these biscuits elsewhere, highly recommend. Then we just lazed on their park benches and enjoyed the serenity of this town – so peaceful and not overcrowded like Venice. I wasn’t too fussed that we didn’t visit Murano, as we did see the glassmaking earlier in our tour, in Florence, hence why Murano wasn’t included in our cruise. If you do have time to spare in Venice, highly recommend a visit to Burano, such a magical place to see, like entering into a different world.

      Great Tour, Disappointing Conclusion
Loved that this was an affordable way to explore more to the islands then just venice. I thought the meeting location was pretty easy to find as well as the guides being very clear and informative throughout our journey. The glass blowing experience was a great bonus to be able to see. For me personally, I probably didn't need as much time as we had in Burano considering there was no 'viewing activity' like there was in Murano. Unfortunatley, i was quite disappointed with the way the tour concluded. We were told at the beginning of the tour that the tour would conclude back at our meeting spot at 2pm. What actually ended up happening was the tour finishing off at a completely different meeting point at 2pm, myself and others who needed to get back to our initial meeting point having to wait half an hour (in the direct scorching sun) for a different boat, to finally arriving back at the meeting point at 3pm, an hour late!!! I had other reservations that i was luckily able to reschedule as i was not anticipating the late return. Had this been communicated from the start of the tour I would have been able to make better arrangements.

      Waiting on refund request
We booked this tour as it states twice in the description maximum of 15 guests. There was over 60 people on this tour. We have requested a refund as we would never have booked it should we had known there was going to be so many others but still havnt heard back…

      Very disappointed & upsetting!
Don’t book! The tour operator over subscribes! We arrived for this trip in the morning to be told by the guide that there was no more seats on the boat for myself & family. She told us we could try the next excursion in the afternoon but there would no guarantee we could get on with our tickets. We couldn’t do the afternoon anyway as we were going back to Milan, we only came for 1 night and we have 2 young children who were really upset that we couldn’t do the trip as they had been excited about going on a boat trip!

Overbooked and left half of group stranded!
Overbooked their tour and left us on departure dock! We booked via our hotel who had confirmed our spots for the tour. We got to the dock 30 mins early and were the first ones to “check-in” with the company representative. Eventually lots of people showed up and the agent asked everyone to line up. We had a toddler in a stroller and was pushed off to the back of the line. When the boat finally came it was clear it wasn’t going to fit everyone. Half of the group loaded and they started the boat with the agent yelling back as the boat went off saying they are full and to call the office to rebook or refund. Left half of the people stranded! Never been in such a ridiculous situation with a confirmed tour. Do not use this group!

      Well worth it
This would have been a 5 only you couldn’t hear the guide on the boat so were unable to listen to the commentary. Seats on the boat very uncomfortable

      Bad experience
From the beginning it was unclear were the meeting point was since the GPS would tell us it was somewhere but it wasn’t, we called twice and they did managed to send right address. The experience to the Islands were okay, tour guide Irene, was unfriendly and when we asked her something she seem irritated and didn’t want to communicate much. She was kinda mean when redirection on getting on the boat. On the boat we couldn’t hear nothing said about the tour on the speaker.

      Too rushed
This tour felt very rushed, with less than an hour to explore each of the two islands. The guide spoke so fast, and over the noise of the boat it was impossible to actually hear or understand what she was saying. Overall a disappointing tour.

Murano and Burano are beautiful, but do it yourself. Avoid this tour. Unorganised, unintelligible, and left stranded
There is a distinct lack of organisation and communication from the start. The narration on the boat is unintelligible due to poor sound system, little time on the islands to really enjoy them, and about 20 of the group were left stranded on Burano when the boat left without us, even though we were back before time at the drop off point. Had to arrange our own way back at extra expense. I phoned the company and they were clear that it was ‘our error’, despite a group of this size being missing with no apparent attempt to locate us. You can do the islands by public transport. You will have the same or better experience of the islands, it’s cheaper, and probably more reliable.

      Good Last-Minute Alternative
I originally booked a small group glass-blowing experience to make my own souvenier. But that got canceled the day before. Wah!😭 So I booked this as a last-minute alternative. It was okay. More time was spent on the boat getting to/from Murano & Burano than in the places themselves. All narrative on the boat was in Italian. There were no headsets. The glass-blowing demo was short but interesting. I bought a Murano glass vase I'm hoping will make it back to Colorado in one peice.

This was a nice way to spend a day seeing the different islands. My husband and I went on the Full-Day Venice Lagoon Tour Murano Burano and Torcello By Consorzio Vidali Group for $32 for each adult. It was a six-hour tour for all three islands. Each boat ride in between was about 30 minutes and the visits on the islands were an hour or more. The tour guide was friendly and gave information in a number of languages. It was a good outing for the day.
We weren't looking to buy glass, so we found Murano interesting, but we could have seen a demonstration and been done there in 20 minutes. Burano's houses and lace were absolutely delightful. Candy shops and gelato widely available. There were a number of cafes, too. We really loved it there. Torcello had a couple of places to eat and the small museum and the small church which charges admission. The first restaurant at Torcello scooped up all the visitors. It was an outdoor picnic table place with affordable and delicious food - definitely not fancy. The next restaurant up the road was fancier and looked really nice, but empty.
We enjoyed visiting all three islands!

This tour was itself was just OK. If you're looking to spend more than 1 hour on each of the islands, this is not the tour for you. Perhaps the vaporetto would be a better choice. If you only have 1/2 day to see these islands, this tour may be the way to go. My biggest complaint was that the 6 of us traveling chose this tour because it picked us up and dropped us off near the train station. Our hotel was located near the train station, and after a long day in the heat, we wanted to freshen-up before dinner. We were surprised to find out (about 3/4 of the way though the tour) that the tour would be ending at the St Mark's dock (San Zaccaria dock D). This was very inconvenient for us. We were given a choice to either walk back (about 40 min) or purchase a vaporetto ticket to get back. We asked why there was no return to the starting point and were given no explanation. We decided to purchase the vaporetto ticket for the return. Be cautious of the Consorzio Vidali Group tours....I find it unconscionable that a tour company would spring this on a group of tourists without an explanation.

Dear customer, we regret what happened. However, we point out that the guide always points out where the tour will end at the start of the tour. The return to St Lucia that day was not available due to high water so it was not done. It would have been sufficient to ask the guide on board the boat for an explanation. In any case, it is not possible that the tour ended at San Zaccaria D because it is a public transport landing. The tour ended in the same spot where it started in San Marco area. Kind regards, Consorzio Vidali Group

Glad i didn't pay any more than €30 . It was the same price as a one day travel pass for the ferries. You could bearly hear the tour guide over the drone of the boat engines. The glass blowing show was interesting but would have been nice to have spent more than an hour at murano. Torcello was lovely, but again only had an hour here. Bearly time to visit the basilica before returning to the boat. Stated that we would get a tour of the relics on torcello, but we were just dropped off at the dock. Burano was beautiful. Had slightly more time here. Didn't have time too eat a nice meal, just a snack and go. Arrived back 40min early.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the organization of the tour which, despite the decidedly significant cost (we spent €130 for 4 of us), seemed really too hasty. The stops in Murano and Burano lasted about 45 minutes each, considering that in Murano 20 minutes were needed to watch the glass-making demonstration and that in Burano we had to have lunch, we were practically unable to see anything, nor in the first nor in the second location. The same thing happened during the afternoon walking tour of Venice, a real marathon without having the opportunity to stop for photos or to admire the various bridges and views of the city. The guide named Giulia gave really summary and unsatisfactory information, she didn't tell much about the thousand-year history of Venice, it would have been interesting to learn information about the birth of the city, the construction of the palaces on the sea, the life of the Venetians over the centuries... .none of this happened other than this very long and exhausting race to the final destination, namely Piazza San Marco. Definitely not recommended.

Honestly felt it would have been a better trip on the publuc bus / boat system. The guide commentary had zero value. First, way too hard to understand. Second, simply reading off a sheet as fast as humanly pissible to get through four languages instead of it being actual knowledge and lixal insighrs. Third, the volumne was intollerable and harmful. I sat with fingers in my ears... being literally tortured.

I could easily give it 1 star...
For starting late... tourists were wandering the designated meeting point where the was no one to be found until 15 min late, causing panic that we were in the wrong place.

And there was too much time on Murono taken from the time on Burano for some logistical reason that was not explained. Our time was further cut short when communication was so bad that we went back to the boat 30 min too soon. Honestly, get a white board and hold it up as people disembark with the return time clearly printed.

Don't buy from the glass shop the tour takes you to. It was literally by far the most expensive shop we saw... though I did enjoy the demonstation.

The one single thing worth looking at on Torchello was closed... after a long walk to get there. I honestly don't think groups should be brought here at all when it's closed.

They did, technically, do what they promised ... a guided day trip of Murano, Burano and Torchello so they get 2 stars... but again an unguided city bus (boat) would have been better imo.

The boat arrived & I was immediately concerned as it was small & there was minimal room for social distancing. We managed to get two seats together close to an open window & everyone wore face coverings. One couple got off at the next pick-up stop because they were concerned & felt uncomfortable.
The guide gave us information throughout the tour in several languages to cater for all the guests on board.
Our first stop was Murano & a short glass blowing demonstration followed by a look around the studio & an opportunity to buy if we wanted to, then we had time on our own. The total stop time was 2.5 hours, they said that was so we could get lunch somewhere. This was really too long & it could easily have been cut by half an hour or more to give us more time later. They changed the boat at this stop & we had a larger one for the rest of the tour.
Our second stop was Torcello. A very small place & really not worth visiting to be honest as there was nothing to see. We were only there for 30 minutes.
Our last stop was Burano, a pretty & colourful island but we only had about 45 minutes there & little time to enjoy it, which was disappointing.
They should have planned the day better to give more time in Burano & less in Murano, even skip Torcello.
The boat trip back was stopping at San Marco, or we could pay €5 to be dropped back to the original pick up stop, which we decided not to do.
I was a bit concerned on the return journey that the guide (Charlotte I think) was driving the boat for a large part of the journey, while the guy who should have been driving the boat sat back, watched & chatted to her. I do wonder if she was licensed to drive the boat.
Overall it was a good tour & good value for money, but the time should have been split better between the islands. I would have given a higher rating if it weren’t for this & the other issues throughout the day.

Dear Customer, our company is very attentive to anti - Covid measures. Our assistants make sure all passengers wear masks. However, we respect any decisions of passengers who prefer to get off and not finish the tour. The stop in Murano has been studied longer, to give the opportunity for those who wish to have lunch at the restaurant in peace. Torcello is an island of great historical importance, being the first inhabited island of the lagoon. Certainly one must love history to appreciate its value. Burano is the farthest island from the historic center, for this reason, it can only be the third stop of the tour. And it is left for last because it is certainly the most scenic. It is difficult for us to imagine that one of our girls, who are all licensed professionals, could have taken command of the boat. Sincerely Vidali Navigation

Service was perfect; Charlotte our guide, spoke fluently English and happily translated even if we were the only 2 English-Speaking customers. The tour itself is... well it is not Venice, but Burano is definitely worth a visit, Murano is a bit of a tourist trap with the glass blowing demonstration and Torcello is something i could have done without, but being the most ancient of the inhabited islands i guess it is a must. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon. As others said, the tour seems to start in a place (train station) and ends in San Marco, and to go back there is an extra 5EUR fee which is not a problem if it was advertised on the tour description when buying it. Anyways, I totally recommend this activity, the boats are good, the boat drivers competent.

If you have time to spend in the Venice area then an afternoon boat trip to three islands is well worth it. Ridiculously cheap to me. The trip out affords great views of Venice and nearby islands. The glass blower was impressive to see for the first time and not too long. The shop featured incredible glass ornaments and breathtaking detail. Some very reasonable prices too for a nice souvenir that is worth showing off at home. Not overly long time to spend in the town but more than enough for a quick walk.

The second stop Torcello was a peaceful little walk to a church with a few outside restaurants and garden areas for a break. Not much here so a drink is worth doing outside. The bridge without sides is a good photo with someone you know on it.

Burano with its colourfully painted houses with boats mored up was the highlight and in the sun really is very beautiful and idyllic. The town has more and again if time allows a drink and a snack along with shops are worth a stop. Then you have a nice relaxing trip back to Venice. Great afternoon. Amazing value.

Not enough time to visit 3 islands. So rushed on Torcello that you can’t even go inside the church, what’s the point. Literally there for 40 minutes and it takes about 15 to walk to the church.
Need to make the tour longer or maybe less people. We had two boats full and it took a bit to load two boats, time that could have been spent seeing the islands.
PS. Don’t shop much at the blown glass tour, we found that most larger items were way overpriced and they are a bit pushy with sales. Wander and check out all the other stores.

We are sorry for your experience. We give enough time to visit the islands but sometimes people are on late so we can't leave on time. we always try to recover time but we have some rules to respect. Vidali Group Team

Not a tour really. They drop you at a few spots with little to no explanation. Boats are not well set up for a tour. Uncomfortable seating. You will do much better to buy a multi day pass on the vaporetto and explore at your own pace.
