About the operator

- JHE10 contributionsWay More Than Just Juliet's HomeWe thought we were just going to enjoy a nice tour of Juliet's home, but got so much more. The history of the area, being advised that we were walking on ancient fossils in the marble on the ground, and then looking up at the different centuries and identifying each style of architecture was very helpful for the rest of our time throughout Italy. Verona was so much more than we expected. This was easily the most informative tour we did in any city in Italy, we did 6 tours. Our guide was very entertaining, funny, had a great understandable accent, and we appreciated the earpiece while she spoke in her microphone. The only drawback was our schedule and we had to leave early just as she was wrapping up. Highly recommend this great tour.Written 28 November 2024
- MrsWin70 contributionsRomantic History of Verona, Romeo & Juliete and "Letters to Juliete" & "Skip the Line"!If you love history, architecture, Romeo and Juliet, or the movie Letters to Juliet, this is the perfect tour for you! Maria was the perfect Tour Guide! As we walked through Verona, she shared the city's historical importance, explained the architecture, told the true story of Romeo e Giuletta, and showed filming locations for the movie "Letters to Juliet." Even though the line to see Juliete's courtyard was 4-5 blocks long, Maria had a secret "Skip the Line"!!!. At the end of the tour, she took us to the restaurant in the movie "Letters to Juliet," and we made lunch reservations. It was an amazing tour, and Maria was a wonderful hostess to Verona.Written 18 October 2024
- antoniaw7120 contributionswonderful tasting and amazing storytellingyou can taste different kinds of spritz and decide if you like it more sweet or sour, so everyone can find their perfect spritz. Also you get a little tour through Verona with amazing stories and legends around it. The guide really has a talent for storytelling.Written 30 September 2024

- 5Familytravelling0 contributionsDefinitely bookLoved loved loved this little tour. Our guide was so relatable (to 3 teenagers) and informative and made us laugh. She was fantastic and we really enjoyed the “tour”. Thank you for making a hot Verona day enjoyable!Written 8 July 2024
- Rostead0 contributionsMaria Pia brought Veronas history to life . Perfect Tour.Maria Pia was the most wonderful guide for a 3 hour tour of Verona finishing with Juliet’s house and balcony. Her knowledge of the subject was fantastic and she delivers her stories with such character and love. It was very hot but Maria made sure we had plenty of shady diversions to cool down plus water stops. I would 100% recommend Maria Pia …. You won’t be disappointed.Written 1 July 2024
- marissa12190 contributionsVerona Walking TourWe had an amazing time on this tour, in large part to our fabulous tour guide, Maria Pia. Her bubbly energy was infectious and we learned a great deal about Verona through her magnificent story telling. It was an extremely hot day in Verona but Maira Pia got all of us water and tried to get us to the shade as much as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend!Written 30 June 2024
- johann3230 contributionsGreat tour!Fantastic experience! Great tour of romance! Our guide, Maria Pia, was fantastic! We would like to recommend her with all our hearts!Written 10 June 2024
- Ryan O0 contributionsPerfect. Just what I was hoping for.Maria was amazing, very informative about local history. The tour was actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be (I mainly booked it for the proposal). The only thing I would recommend is give your phone to someone behind you in the queue for the balcony and then you get two angles (that’s what I did). Maria was lovely and so caring, she also didn’t mind me messaging her with queries leading up to the day. I have probably left out stuff but I just want to end it with I would not change a thing and Maria made the day what it was, which was perfect and Amazing ❤️Written 5 June 2024
- sarahmO9591DL0 contributionsExcellent tour guideMaria Pia is a responsive and knowledgeable tour guide. Provided a personal message on booking and supplied meeting point. I booked one waking tour but she was able to provide a more comprehensive tour in English encompassing history, environment architecture local business and of course access to main attractions. Very helpful and responsive - well worth as a guide thank youWritten 26 May 2024
- Megan V0 contributionsEnjoyable night tour! This was a fun tour and our guide was very informative and put a dramatic spin on history. She was very friendly and it was fun to venture around the city at night with a guide that left you very entertained and was also full of so much information.Written 23 April 2024
- JamesD58320 contributionsOur guide, Maria Pia was superb!I was part of a familiarisation trip with a high end travel agency. Our guide Maria Pia was an absolute joy. Her enthusiasm was palpable before she even entered our bus. She was bouncing with excitement as we pulled up to collect her. This excitement never waned throughout our hours together, even when we stopped for coffee she lit up the table with her incredible knowledge and story telling abilities. Being a Verona tour guide is not work for Maria, it is her pleasure. And that was beautiful to see. She has a genuine star-cross'd love of her city. On our tour we also passed a tourist who was walking around using a guidebook Maria wrote. 'O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright.' (Exeunt)Written 10 April 2024
- 52sammys0 contributionsWhat an amazing experience full of fun factsThis tour was amazing. There was a little bit of moving around with changing our time due to numbers being too high on the tour but I am so glad I agreed to change to a later time as it was just me and my fiancé with an amazing tour guide, Francesco which became like our own private little tour of Verona. Even with just the two of us booked at that time Francesco still went ahead with everything and even threw in a few detours with extra facts and history of Verona. All in all we have a fantastic time and would highly recommend. Francesco was funny, very friendly and very knowledgeable of Verona.Written 3 April 2024

This tour was a great introduction into the rich history of the city of Verona and of course Romeo and Juliet. Our guide Frenky was incredibly friendly and engaging throughout the entire tour, his knowledge and passion for Verona is infectious which got us very excited about exploring the city. It was beautiful to see the city at night as we avoided both the crowds of tourists and the heat. Overall a lovely beginning to our stay here. We would both highly recommend this tour as it is a fun way to explore the city.

Very good and very courageous Maria! Despite the cold, and even though I was the only one who had booked the visit, she didn't give up and was really very kind, giving me her knowledge and her anecdotes, making me very passionate about the city and the curiosities linked to it. A visit to be repeated a thousand times to discover Verona well. A special compliment to Maria who was able to overcome the cold to passionately tell me about her splendid city 🙂

Seeing the city lit up at night is something we always love to do. This tour was better than many others we have taken in other cities. Our guide Maria was EXTREMEly knowledgeable about little things embedded throughout the older part of the city that we had walked by several times and never noticed the significance. Our tour went over the allotted time and with the permission of all she continued to show us things for another half hour. It was really fun.

Wow, wow, wow! As we all know the tour guide makes or breaks the tour and boy does Maria check all the boxes for AWESOME tour guide! I was the only person who arrived for the tour so I thought it would be canceled but instead Maria tailored it for me and my interests and took me to some extra spots since it was just the two of us. Maria blends together the myths and legends of Verona with the historical fact and I felt like I learned so much, but was also entertained the whole time. I usually feel too awkward to ask questions on tours, but she was so gracious and once I did, Maria was able to answer almost all of them. Very glad I took this tour I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys these types of walking and learning tours! Thank you very much Maria!

It was pure luck that we ended up taking Maria Pia's tour - and after 5 minutes we were so glad that we did! She brought the history and architecture of Verona alive with a very colourful and captivating tour, full of information and details that kept me and my family interested for the whole 2 hours. It really made our stay in Verona extra special.

Maria Pia was wonderful! Such an expressive guide, with fun and fascinating knowledge of the city, having grown up as a local.
She also very kindly allowed us to move our date at very short notice when we had to reschedule our holiday. Thank you again Maria, it was well worth the wait! ❤️

I booked this tour as a solo traveller hoping to learn and see some interesting things about Verona. Maria was an amazing and extremely knowledgeable host. Our small group gave her many questions and she knew about everything, and you can tell she really loves her city. The tour went much longer than expected because of all the questions but Maria didn't seem to mind at all. Verona has some great history, and I highly recommend this tour.
