      Time well spent
There were 6 of us on the tour with “Frank” (Francesco). We’re all gardeners, and Frank made a point of showing us interesting plants, such as the oldest Plane tree in Italy. He gave us a ton of information about the history of the area, making it fun for us by giving us “points” for remembering important facts. He checked often that we were absorbing what he told us and would say things in different ways to make sure we got it. He had several visuals aids (maps, old photos, etc) that helped bring history alive. Thoroughly enjoyable and valuable 3 hours!

      Verona By A Local
Alessandro was a fantastic tour guide! As a local, he showed us things that we would easily have overlooked. His local perspective was exactly the kind of tour to give us an experience that only few could provide. His knowledge and insights brought Verona to life for us. I would highly recommend a tour with Alessandro!

      Wonderful Experience
Our tour guide was not available on the day, but sent another “Maria” in her place which was kind of her. Our Maria was an absolute delight from the moment we met her. We learned so much about the history of Verona, from the Romans to the families who influenced the culture and customs under various rulers and factions. Her manner was charming and made all the details more like “fun facts”. Would highly recommend this tour and if you’re fortunate enough to encounter “Maria” that will be a bonus. Thank you Denise and Sally

Great Rainy Day Tour of Verona!
We met Alessandro on a very rainy day for a tour of Verona. He took us to some amazing places, including a very old wine shop, fantastic pizza (the best we've had in Italy), and all of the important sites. Alessandro showed us his favorite places in addition to his childhood school. He was very interesting, fun, and knowledgable. We are so happy we got to spend a few hours with him in Verona!

      Learned the History!
Barbara was knowledgeable about her beautiful city. She was able to answer all our questions, and even asked us why we thought an event might have taken place. Like your favorite teacher would to help keep you interested. We would highly recommend Barbara for a personal tour when in Bologna.

Thunderstorms didn't dull Hidden Gems of Verona
What a way to start a walking tour - thunderstorms in Verona. But any concerns about the background weather were soon swept away by Francesco's bright and enthusiastic love and admiration for his city and his ability to share it all with us. While the rain dampened down, Francesco's engaging stories about Verona didn't. He not only led us through, and demonstrated evidence of, the history of the city (including a visit to a department store to show us the ruins of portion of an ancient Roman wall within the shop, explaining to us how many Roman towns had been "built over" through the centuries), but also related the true stories behind the tales of Romeo and Juliet and the powerful families of the city and their contributions to the history of Verona. Starting with a visit to the Roman arena, an amphitheatre still in use for concerts today, through seeing evidence of some of Napoleon's time in the city, visiting the market, discussing how the City has rules to maintain its unique architecture and appearance and ending up with the (not so old) tourist attraction of Juliet's balcony, Francesco kept us interested and informed throughout the whole tour. A walking, enlightening tour not to be missed!

      Unforgettable private tour of Verona
Alessandro was the perfect guide. Having grown up in Verona, his knowledge of the city was vast and deep. The experience was at my pace and I felt he was always looking after my needs. I saw a lot in an afternoon and definitely feel it was a good value.. Highly recommend!

      Fabulous fun tour of Verona
Francesco was full of interesting information and anecdotes as he explained the Roman and Medieval history of Verona. He avoided the busy areas and he tailored the tour to our particular interests. We also stopped at a pasta making shop and a fabulous delicatessen with an incredible view! Our group of 10 loved our morning with Francesco!

Verona with Maria Pia for our multi-generational family of 5
Maria Pia was a wonderful guide for our multi-generational group of 5. She told us great stories about the history of Verona. She made sure we kept a walking pace that was good for us while still seeing as much as possible. She was so much fun and made our first day in Verona so memorable. We absolutely recommend this tour with Maria Pia.

Beautiful Winery, Not Enough of Lake Garda
our guide was Alessandro, he was a delight , very knowledgeable, and very personable. We went to a beautiful family winery Boghetti Vineyard--Barbara was very welcoming and presented an outstanding wine tasting. Then went to the Lake Garda region , stopped at a large villa on the lake for a glass of wine and some pictures. The reason for 4 out of 5 is I did not feel I got to see Lake Garda enough--only from one location. We got to Lake Garda around 5pm on a Sunday when everyone was leaving to return home so the traffic was very heavy, thus the reason we did not see more of the lake.

I had a last minute oppurtunity to tour Verona and Alex happened to be available. He catered the tour to the flow of questions and time allowance we had. It was a great mix of history, food, and of course he even mixed in some wine. Alex knows his city and wasted no time navigating from one point to another. He even has a few tricks up his sleeve to find access to places that may not be so easily accessible. I had a great time spending the afternoon with Alex and I am sure you will too!

We made a last minute reservation with Izabela for a 2.5-hour walking tour of Verona. It was so much fun! Izabela provided interesting historical notes and showed us some cool off-the-beaten-path locations. She went above and beyond by providing some restaurant and general food tips. Her tips on Amarone wine were particularly helpful when we were checking out the menu later that night. We can't recommend Izabela enough!

The guide should have a real itinerary and information to share. She needs to be professional and treat it as a job rather than a casual walk with strangers
