      A worthwhile visit
Visited as part of a tour group with a local guide . Wow…….just wow . These are breathtaking, probably the best preserved mosaics we have ever seen . There are so many & many are in very good repair . Beautiful pictures , colours and patterns. If you get the chance do go & see them . It’s well worth it .

      Excellent Tour Guide
Donatella was an excellent Tour Guide, she made the tour informative & interesting! Otranto is a lovely little town with lots of history. Donatella also helped us with information regarding Car Hire. We enjoyed the Tour, so thank you

      Private tour of Otranto
We had a very enjoyable and informative private tour of Otranto. Valeria was energetic and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Otranto, and passionate about her heritage. We saw the highlights of the old town and port of Otranto. I highly recommend Valeria and her tour of Otranto.

      Fabulous Mauritania
Our group of 4 was guided through Mauritania by Hadrami Bouh who owns Tour in Mauritania. Bouh lead us through his country, where his family has lived for many generations. We learned about his father and grandfather making haji by camel. He showed us cave paintings, the Eye of the Sahara along with the ancient cities along the caravan routes to the sea. Not only is he very knowledgeable about the country and the geography, he was very open to all of our questions about his and his family's lives. Our group was comprised of very experienced travelers. Each of us has been to over 200 different countries. We all agreed that Bouh was among the best guide we've had. I can't say enough about him. I highly -- very highly -- recommend him.

      Incredible monastery
This is definitely a hidden gem and the biggest Charterhouse in Europe. We were on our way south a stayed in this lovely mountainside town. It is known for this incredible UNESCO site from the year 1306!! It is easy to spend several hours going through the beautiful marble chapels, eating area, living quarters for thee cloistered monks. We were so glad we happened upon it.

      Six, if not seven, stars
This site is fabulous if you are even remotely interested in mosaics. The site is a palace rather than a villa and is quite extensive. Some has been reconstructed so you get a good sense of the original buildings. The mosaic floors are incredibly extensive and fantastic. Access is via raised walkways, which are quite narrow Go at a time when it will be quiet as it can get very busy and noisy

      San Giovanni Rotunda tour
Tour was well worth the cost. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable about Padre Pio and the surrounding area. Saw things we would not have found on our own.

      ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW TO SEE
This was my second visit to the Roman Villa and every bit as exciting as the first time in 2019. Constant excavation and research is going on so it was delightful to see what had been discovered or even reassessed in a historical context from my last visit. The villa is an outstanding example of both visual storytelling and of the architectural detail of the time. Each room contains tiny detailed mosaics of hunting scenes, athletics, mythology and daily living. The “grand hall” is breathtaking in its detail of the capture of exotic creatures around the world. The entire villa speaks of the wealth of its owner (still tentative as of 10/23 as to who this was) and the culture of the time. We stayed approximately 2.5 hours but could have easily stayed an hour or two longer! There is a museum on site that can be easily missed but is fascinating as well! Wear your most comfy walking shoes when visiting this site!

      Terrific Walking Tour
Seven of us toured Ostuni with Flo today and it was wonderful! We loved her knowledge of Ostuni history and her readiness to answer our wide-ranging crazy questions. She gave us tour choices several times so we felt like she developed our tour just for us.

      Padre Pio’s Shrine
Our guide Teresa was just wonderful! She did such a great job of guiding us through both the old and new churches while faithfully explaining the life of our dear Padre Pio. We highly recommend her.

      Allow plenty of time
Museum is open until 19:30. We arrived at 18:45 and were warned that there was a lot to see, and that we wouldn’t have enough time but decided to go in anyway and whizz round. There IS a lot to see, very interesting and with English translations, we regretted not allowing more time. However, by 19:10, staff were screaming “USCITA! USCITA!” at us and we were forced to leave, having paid €9 each for 25 minutes of viewing with staff trailing us. Lesson learned.

We had the most amazing time with our private tour guide, Antonio. His vast knowledge of Conversano as well as history in general made it extra interesting. He even shared historical info with us about other areas we had already visited in the Puglia region. He was kind, well-versed in English, and interesting. Even our teens were interested in listening to him. We will definitely be booking more tours with Antonio next time we visit Puglia.
