Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did both the fashion and historic hop on hop off. It was a great way to see the city center but we saw no shops and the bus cannot navigate to area that you will want to see. For the Opera House and Cathedral you really have to go by foot for the true experience. I would recommend doing both but one is only an hour and the other is 45 minutes and if it is worth the 20 EU then I would say go for it.

There are 2 lines... A and B. B was short and went to done if the same places line A went to do basically it was a waste of time. Line A was good but many times the narrator was describing places of interest and we could not find what they were describing. Giving directions to look left or right would be helpful.
I hope the ticket person on line B was just having a bad day because she was the sourest person we have come across since arriving in Europe. Snappy and grumpy, and her attitude was such that it was obvious she either did not like her job or did not like tourists.... either way, she was not a good advertisement for the company or for Palermo.

Long waiting time for the buses. The yellow buses from another company do the sameroutes and appears more often and have a better stop at the Monreale. We took the red line the first day, planning to take the blue line next day. Getting up early waiting for at least an hour we were informed this line did not start before 12 - hard to find this information. You can skip this , or try the other company with yellow buses.

We have done hop on hop off tours in several cities and were mostly satisfied. In short, this one is not worth the money. 50 euros for 2 adults and 1 child for a tour that you could also do on foot (a day trip). Several times the bus did not stop for us at the MARKED hop on hop off stop even though we waved like crazy. You wait forever at each stop because apparently only 1 or 2 buses run. The app is absolutely useless. Save your money and invest it in good food or a rental car, you'll get more out of it!

Really poor information provided on line and by staff. Claims “ticket good for 24 hours” which is true but that does not mean you can use the service for anything like that amount of time. First bus is 10am on one line and noon on the other and last bus 4pm so even though the ticket is valid for 24 hours you will only get acces for 6. Add to that the fact that most attractions close at 2.30 then nowhere to go for the last hour and a half unless you want to ride in a circle. Throw in speaker system barely functional, busses nowhere near ,every 30 minutes, as advertised, drivers smoking and you end up with a pile of crap. Local busses or the hop on opposition much better options

This vendor is poorly managed, has no signs once you depart from the port to direct you where to catch the bus and the 1st stop is quite a far walk from the port. The timing of the red and blue lines is totally outrageous and will leave you waiting for a long time. Do yourself a favor and purchase from the yellow bus competitor who is strategically located right outside the port and has high volume bus service. You can clearly see who the pros are, and this company is not even a runner up!

Choose another outfit. These people can leave you stranded for ages in the sun with nowhere to sit.( as they did with us.) Their map is misleading should you want to go to the market near the railway station. Off hand treatment from the bus supervisor and ladies in the booking office think you are disturbing their day. Most unpleasant experience and the stops are in inconvenient places requiring quite a walk.

“Useless tour. To move forward, we had to sit for an hour at a place where you could practically do nothing. Poor organization, repeated information on the same tour. Don’t take this one!
“One of the lines went off where it wasn’t supposed to go, stopped running at 2 p.m., and stayed for 10 minutes at a place where there wasn’t a stop.”

I have travelled almost everywhere. The only place I have been to where the hop on hop off site seeing system does not work is Palermo. Don’t take me wrong: the city is wonderful. But never ever take the hop on hop off (the red nor the yellow, because we tried both. For 2 days we wasted our time looking for the stops. Once we got to the stop, we were waiting for an hour or more; the buses would pass and would not stop. We would wave to stop them; they would not stop. Finally, after walking the whole city trying to get on one, some lines were not working and to change from one to the other, we had to wait for more than an hour. When finally the second line came the sound system for the explanation did not work. A real disaster and waste of time.

No information on bus schedules, extremely long intervals between buses. There are two lines, A and B. I went down at the point where there is a connection between the lines and I waited another 1 hour to get the bus to the other line. A fiasco. Don't fall into the 20 euro trap for that shit. It would have been better to spend on a taxi.
