Wow! We were not sure what to expect, but it was not this. Alice was completely prepared for our arrival. All equipment and ingredients were ready to be assembled. She welcomed us into her lovely home with grace and courtesy. She showed us how to start the pasta with clear, thorough instruction on everything. She helped us make tiramisu while the pasta dough rested. Then, she showed us multiple types of pasta we could make and multiple ways to make each one. She explained, demonstrated, then let us begin. She was positive and encouraging throughout the experience. When all of the pasta was ready, including the raviolli that was the subject of much laughter, she cooked the pasta in the kitchen while we had aperatifs and cocktails she had prepared previously. We sat down to a meal together and had delightful conversation with laughter, wine, and the pasta that we were amazed had been prepared by our own hands. We never knew how much fun it was. Alice made it fun. We now plan to make pasta monthly just re-live the experience and remember the great time we had under Alice's guidance. Thank you so much, Alice! To anyone reading this - it was the best experience of our two week vacation in Naples, Palermo, and surrounding areas. We saw wonderful sights, but we could not stop talking about how much fun we had after spending the evening with Alice.

What a truly special morning cooking with Alice. I enjoyed our chats around family, history, and culture while preparing some wonderful recipes. Our meal was a highlight of my time in Palermo.

Alice and Francesco were amazing hosts! We loved their passion and knowledge for their heritage. They welcomed us with open arms into their lovely home and shared the three generations of family that has lived there. They inspired us to purchase the tools we used with them to be able to take what we learned back home to Indiana. We would highly recommend taking the opportunity to learn with them and get to know them better.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at the cooking class hosted by Gianfranco and his mother Maria. They made us very welcome and taught us so much about making three different kinds of pasta. The wealth of knowledge that Gianfranco had to share was outstanding. Please arrive with room in your stomach for you will not only eat the meal that you helped prepare but a lot of other scrumptious food as well. We were also very impressed with the decorations in the room making it such a lovely environment. This was one of our highlights of our trip to Sicily !

We had the most incredible cooking class with Pina at her beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Pina is not only lovely but also brimming with culinary knowledge. Throughout the day, she shared her passion for cooking in a way that made us feel both inspired and at ease. Her home is stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for an authentic and intimate cooking experience. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, and we learned so many techniques and tips that we’ll definitely use in our own kitchens. Spending the day with Pina was such a joy, and we can’t recommend this class enough! If you’re looking for an unforgettable cooking experience, this is it!

Rosa Maria welcomed us into her beautiful home, she was gracious and very friendly. Rosa Maria taught us to make three dishes, fresh Sicilian pasta, eggplant and tiramisu. She also shared many other her other Sicilian cooking techniques as well as the history of the food and region. We sat down to an amazing dinner that Rosa Maria complimented with other antipasti and Sicilian wine. We ate so much! She didn’t rush us through dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our experience with Rosa Maria.

I had the most delicious 4 course dinner prepared by Alice with a little help from me and husband Francesco. It was true Silician Style food cooked to perfection. The hosts made me feel very welcome in their home and we had a delightful night of chit chat, nice wine and even a tasting of Francesco’s Cherry liquor! Can highly recommend this adventure. Alice was a wonderful hostess! She and her husband shared many wonderful cooking tips and Sicilian facts. Her home was warm and welcoming- it was so fun to stand around her table and prepare appetizers! Our meal on the beautiful terrace will always be a great memory of delicious food and wonderful company!

We learnt how to make fresh pasta and Tiramisu from scratch expertly instructed by the beautiful Rosa! Later enjoying the food with two wonderful fellow travellers and Rosa. We had so much fun and a very enjoyable experience. We highly recommend the Pasta & Tiramisu cooking lesson with Rosa.

We attended the evening "The art of the Italian Aperitivo with a local: Learn & Enjoy in Palermo" with Signora Pina - who has several other classes but this was her first for this one. Just saying the food we prepared with Pina was outstanding is an understatement - and writing this review is making me hungry for them again! The dishes included a yeasted vegetarian rolls with cheese and rocket, a ground pork with other cheeses, speck ham wrapped around prunes, a gorgonzola walnut dip and more. My description does not do justice to the finished items and there were other ingredients, so take notes. Every item was flavorful and well-balanced, and served with Italian wine. Frankly, I had no idea it was going to be as good as this. The setting - in Pina's aristocratic apartment with a balcony view of Mount Pellegrino where we ate - was never expected and the most memorable of anything we ever did in Sicily, and clearly the best cooking experience - and we have gone to quite a few! Bravo Pina!

I completely enjoyed my cannoli making class with Alice. Both she and her partner, Francesco, are so knowledgeable about the science behind the cooking and could not have been lovelier to be around. Making a recipe passed down from Alice's nonna in the very apartment where she grew up made it even more special. She patiently showed me the MANY steps required for making the shells and, in the end, the cannoli were DELICIOUS! The conversation was great and Alice even made me a little package to take home with leftover shells, a small piping bag with the cream and bit of the orange peel and pistachios. In fact, I just ate two of them (the day after the class). I would highly recommend this experience!
