Hey thanks for a fantastic day tour to Etna and wine tour today. Massimo is extremely knowledgeable about volcanoes and a natural science graduate. What he didn’t know about Etna wasn’t worth knowing. Well that was great but the best was yet to come. He took us to Scudero vineyard for a tasting and cold cuts. What an experience! It is a family vineyard that has only opened to the public in the last year. He passed us onto the Owner’s wife, Viviana (The Boss) who guided us through the story of the vineyard and family since 1815 to the present day through their living museum with tasting along the way. Then a candlelit meal overlooking the cost and lights of Taormina. An introduction to her wine maker husband Carlos and another glass of wine. Fabulous. Massimo then drove us home and dropped us at the door. What a day!! We can not recommend Travelosophy and Scudero Wines highly enough. Paul and Michele Weaver, New Zealand.

This is worth every cent. We were picked up at our hotel in private car with ease and updates for time etc. then our driver Massimo gave us an in depth tour of the area and facts of Catania and Enta for the hour drive to the mountain. We then checked in for the quad tour and had the most incredible two hour ride through mountains. This is a 4x4 off road quad experience and can get roughy at points. This was a 10/10 experience for us

We experienced this full day private tour from Catania and we were absolutely thrilled with the quality and personal service we received. Our guide, Massimo, was outstanding. His expert knowledge of Mt. Etna, volcanoes in general and the entire region made the day very enjoyable and interesting. Our time at a local vineyard was very educational, relaxing, and fun. We walked the grounds with the owners and they taught us about their family history, growing grapes and making wines. The food and will were top notch. We strongly recommend this tour.

We had the lovely Barbara take us and one other couple on this tour and we had a wonderful time. It was lovely to visit the wineries and try ETNA wine. It was also lovely to meet and chat with a lovely Sicilian with lots of knowledge and entertaining conversation. The stroll through Randazzo was a lovely addition as was the gelato. The communication with this vendor is lacking. We booked through Viator. Viator was also less than helpful. The app allows you to send a message to both the operator and Viator, yet there was no response for 2 months regarding the tour. The miscommunication was even worse. The operator did not answer their phone when called by myself or Viator. See photos of the description for this event … yet this is not true to how the tour is set up. Patiently waiting my refund. They really need to reword the description to be factual … you do not do the train first you get a car service to the winery first then the train. Would clear up a lot of confusion and aslo smooth over patrons expectations of the activity. We had a great time at ETNA URBAN WINERY!!

Went for the first time on a quad bike tour. Tobias was our guide, I did mention to him that I have never done something similar before and he walked me and the rest of the group through some basics. During the journey towards the first stop he kindly checked on me to make sure I was OK and he kept doing so through the whole tour. He gave us plenty of explanation on what we were seeing and it was super interesting to see and find out more about the Etna volcano. Would definitely recommend this, me and my cousin had so much fun

Waited 45 minutes for pickup at agreed upon location. Prepaid on May 18th. Excursion was supposed to happen on the 25th. Supposedly the tour operator send a message on the 24th to confirm. Never saw it until the next morning. WI FI was inconsistent. Had to walk over a mile to take a non English speaking taxi to Mt. Etna. No gourmet lunch. Was supposed to go at 9:30 so we could get back at a reasonable hour. By the time we found a taxi, it was 11:30. No gourmet lunch, no tour, and we returned at 5:30. Called credit card company to dispute the charge. There is no excuse for the driver to "no show". He had my phone #. Also, when I called Travelogy, no one answered. Called Viator, she was very nice and disappointed with the local driver. I have his name and #. Hope to see a credit soon. I will not give up until I do. Very disappointed! Was in Taormina 4 nights. A private tour and gourmet lunch was supposed to be a highlight. Will not book through TripAdvisor or Viator again until there is an apology and refund. Cried. Ruined my day! Very funny asking for pictures! There are none. There are no memories! Just $420.00 poorer!

No response to message to confirm our tour the evening before and no tour guide showed up the morning of our scheduled tour. Awaiting response from tour company to approve our refund!!

We had the private tour and couldn’t have enjoyed the experience anymore. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable he took us to mount etna and then off on a wine tour with lunch. We loved every minute of it

This is an amazing and fun tour with beautiful views throughout. We got picked up by Massimo, who came directly to our hotel. A very comfortable 45 minute ride later we came to the rendezvous point. All we had to do was present our drivers licenses, fill out a quick form, and we were ready to go on a tour. You don’t need a motorcycle license for this excursion. Helmets provided! Our tour guide was fantastic, and I’m sad his name escapes me, but he was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He does Italian and English tours. If the group is mixed - he does instruction in both, which was my experience. We started off with a short safety briefing and helmet fitting, after which we headed up the mountain. There’s about a 5-10 minute ride on pavement so that you can get used to the accelerator and steering. After that, the real fun begins: you start going through rough terrain and it’s a lot of fun on an ATV. The entire ride you will have the urge to take pictures, but no worries, there’s going to be a stop. The guide showed us awesome sprawling vistas and didn’t mind taking an occasional photo. I can tell that he really likes doing this tour and it resulted in a great experience for us. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in checking out mount Etna. Here’s a few things to keep in mind: 1. If you’re doing the tour in fall, you might want to bring gloves (there are souvenir shops selling them) 2. The fog/clouds rise in the afternoon - try to take the tour earlier. 3. Warm clothes - I would suggest wearing a light backpack so you can layer up during the trip. A hoodie and a light raincoat may be enough. In a pinch — the gift shops around the starting point might have what you need. Thank you all for a well-organized and fun excursion!

The tour was very well planned to make sure we had a relaxing experience. Massimo, our tour guide, was really good with explaining everything to us in English. The winery tour and accompanying meal were excellent. Overall the tour was beyond our expectations. The next time we visit Sicily, we will definitely reach out to them again for a guided experience or a tailored multi-day program tailored to our interests.

We had an excellent, private tour with Massimo. He was a safe, courteous guide and driver. Massimo was knowledgeable and pointed out fun facts throughout the entire experience. At the vineyard, we had a private tour and tasting. Our original day had to be rescheduled due to weather - so thankful we were able to work it out. It was a great experience!

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour of Etna and Scilia winery! Massimo was brilliant and very knowledgable and everything was planned superbly. Highly recommended!
