We will initially visit the rock church of Sant'Antonio, built in a natural cave where the saint found refuge following a shipwreck. Immediately after admiring the enchanting panorama that opens onto the bay of the same name, inside the Marine Protected Area of Capo Milazzo, we will take the nature trail that leads to the extreme tip of the Cape, crossing an ancient olive grove that extends on the plateau in the near the lighthouse. The path will lead us to the enchanting natural swimming pool of the Portella, commonly called the "Pool of Venus", the result of the erosive action exerted by the sea waves on the cliff. Here we will stop for a pleasant break and there will also be the opportunity to swim. Along the way back, we will know the rich Mediterranean vegetation that characterizes these places, mainly composed of Lentisco, Olivastro, Euforbia, Artemisia and some botanical rarities that we will be able to admire. Continuing uphill we will return to Piazzetta Sant’Antonio, where at the end of the excursion it will be possible to witness a spectacular sunset from Capo Milazzo.
