(Thanks to Lorenzo and mamma Corleone) Like stepping into a loving and warm Italian familys home and feeling like one of them. We left the kitchen grateful, with a smile on our faces and full bellies. Amazing!Written 5 September 2024

- Evelina N0 contributionsWelcoming and deliciousEverything was great. Everyone felt included and the staff did everything to meet our needs (some of us were vegan), and were very welcoming. Nothing felt staged although they all have had the same dish for quite some time. A great experience during a visit to Palermo. We won’t forget this evening!Written 5 September 2024
- wendylD9039DQ0 contributionsA Most Memorable DayMy sister and I were advised by the staff in a hotel in Mondelo that Mamma Corleone had the best cooking school in Palermo and they were right. The delightful Riham met us before the class to take us on a tour of the fabulous Ballaro Markets. Riham had grown up in the area and knew and was clearly adored by all the traders there who let us sample their wares. On our return to the cooking school, we met our Mamma for the day, who was a beautiful teacher. With excellent and informed English translations by Riham, Mamma systematically guided us through the steps of making delicious panelle, arancini balls and watermelon jelly. We lunched like queens on the dishes, accompanied by great local wine and wonderful conversation. This was one of our most memorable days in Sicily.Written 21 August 2024
- 61biancat0 contributionsThank you so much!Thank you soo much for an amazing cooking class❤️❤️❤️ We had a lovely tour at the market to see the local cuisine first. Afterwards we had an amazing experience cooking and eating the best food we ever tasted! 10/10Written 24 July 2024

- 791arndts0 contributionsExcellentExcellent experience. La mamma and the student translating charming, location perfect, food delicious. The magic of creating the most extraordinary out of very few, basic ingredients and simple, non-engineered cooking. We highly recommend.Written 2 May 2024
- LuckyPetey0 contributionsA fun and informative Italian cooking class! We love food and took this class for an enjoyable end to our visit to Sicily. It was very informative, fun and the food was delicious! Mamma Corleone timed this class perfectly! First, we made our pistachio dessert so it would chill for after dinner. Next, we prepared a pasta dough. While that rested we prepared eggplant. Then we made meatballs and tomato sauce. We cut the dough into tagliatelle and then put it all together for a wonderful meal of pasta alla Norma. A bottle of wine was opened to add to that authentic dining experience. Lorenzo helped with the English translation and his humor and energy kept this a fun class. All of us consider ourselves pretty good at cooking and walked away with added tips.Written 30 March 2024
- Sian W0 contributionsThe best of Sicily in a morningWe had a beautiful morning cooking with Maria and Lorenzo! Traditional Sicilian menu with amazing quality ingredients - the food was so delicious, the best we had on our trip (and that was a high bar). Would really recommend a morning at Mamma Corleone.Written 5 February 2024
- cindyf06060 contributionsDelicious dinner of your own makingOf course, coming to Italy, I expected to eat delicious food. However, I did not expect that my delicious food would also be something I prepared myself! What a delight it was to learn to make classic Sicilian dishes at Mamma Corleone! The instructor was a delight, and the translator, Karin was entertaining and helpful and interesting! Could not have had a better experience, only wish I hadn’t eaten all day so I could have had enough space for all the food we prepared. Plus colorful aprons (for €5) are a perfect souvenir! Would recommend to anyone coming to Palermo!Written 28 November 2023
- Jenny B0 contributionsJenny and Sue learn street foodWe had a wonderful lesson with Maria Pia and Kharim. It was lots of fun and interesting chatting to them about food and life in Sicily. The food was amazing and I just hope that we can reproduce the meal when we get home… so that it will bring back memories of our fabulous day. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wishing to have a taste of authentic Sicilian good. Thank you so much Maria Pia and KharimWritten 27 November 2023

- 376melm0 contributionsMust do in Palermo! This was one of our favourite events in Palermo! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fun way to spend a few hours learning about this area in Italy! It was a great experience to learn how to make pasta, meat, and dessert!Written 4 November 2023
- Z6437MHnatalies0 contributionsGreat time, great food! 🥰The cooking class was great. In total it was me and 2 other ladies who were sisters and then Mama Corleone and her assistant who translated between English and Italian for us. We made a shrimp pesto pasta dish, a fish dish and canollo's too!! It was a lot of fun and it was great to learn to make these dishes from scratch and with fresh ingredients. When we ate the pasta with the pesto and shrimp, it was the best pasta dish I have ever tasted. It was so good. We had a lot of fun and we got to take home any food we had made but didn't manage to eat. The class is held in a little cosy rustic kitchen but with modern hobs etc so it was very easy to cook in there. At first I was worried I was going to be late as I couldn't find where it was even though I was on the correct street however I found it in the end. It is easy to find, you just go into the street from the main square and just keep walking down until you feel like you are near the end of the street and then you will see a little door on the left with the cooking school name on it. I had a lot of fun there and would love to do another cooking class with Mama Corleone in the future if I am in Palermo again. Definitely worth booking a class here!Written 31 October 2023
- AviG9830 contributionsThe best cooking class in SicilyFantastico! I took 3 other cooking classes with different chefs. Chef Antonio by far was the very best. You not only learn how to make delicious dishes , but you are throughly entertained by Chef Antonio’s charming and humorous personality. You feel like you are cooking and eating with your own Sicilian family. This class is a must while in Sicily.Written 29 October 2023

My husband and I took the street food class because we wanted to try something authentic to Sicily and it was such a wonderful experience that we will always remember. Mamma Corleone was so sweet and helpful and explained things well so that it felt easy. Our interpreter was great and since it was just my husband and I in the class, we all chatted about all sorts of things while drinking wine and making some of the most delicious food we had in all of Italy. We will be attempting to remake the food at home. Highly recommend taking one of her classes, you will love her and her food!

Best cooking class ever. Learned how to cook Panelle, Arancini, and watermelon jelly. So much fun and felt like family. Food was delicious and I was amazed I could actually make it. Easy to follow recipe/directions an experience you must do Palermo. We could stay there all day and cook. This is a must do experience.

Great class! Maria Pia was an excellent source of knowledge and Lorenzo did a fantastic job not only translating but adding some humor and even taking pictures for us. Highly recommend! Btw the class is down an alleyway, don't worry -- you're in the right place. Just come a couple minutes before the time and they'll be there!

We were fortunate enough to be the only couple in the class today. Momma and Federica helped us prepare, cook, and eat a meal of panelle, arancini, and orange jelly for dessert. Since my wife is also Italian, they shared many experiences together, and we left with knowledge, full stomachs, and happy hearts. This was truly the best experience we could have had for our first day in Palermo! Highly recommend this experience!

Great way to spend our morning. Teacher was knowledgeable and easy going. Both Maria and her assistant Gina were lovely and patient. We cooked cod in a delicious tomato based sauce, pasta with shrimp pesto and of course, cannoli! ( who knew we could make our own cannolis!!!)

Looking to take this class on either Nov. 5th after 3pm for dinner or on Nov. 8th Monday after 2 for dinner also. There are 4 of us. We are staying at Central Hotel Federico 11, in Palermo. Is that within walking distance to you.
