An excellent day tour with Umberto the operator from Palermo to Castelbuono and Cefalu. Picked from our hotel, Umberto was an excellent host who explained so much to us about living in Palermo and Italy. He then took us on a walking tour through Castelbuono which was a highlight for us. Spending a few free hours in Cefalu, we found lunch and drove the coast road home to our hotel.

Umberto did a great job. He's very personable and accommodating. He shared a lot of knowledge with us about Corleone, Monreale and Palermo. We really enjoyed our day.

Umberto, our driver and guide, spoke fluent English and went out of his way to ensure we had a good day. As we were the only couple, we modified our itinerary to visit Cefalu and Monreale Cathedral. The van was very comfortable and we felt safe with Umberto’s handling of the Sicilian traffic. This was an expensive trip but we benefited from Umberto’s local knowledge of restaurants and saw much more in a day than we could have achieved by ourselves. Cefalu and Monreale are truly beautiful locations and well worth visiting. Thank you Umberto for a lovely day. This was a private tour - it was interesting and Umberto made it fun and relevant to us. He also took us to a restaurant in town that made homemade pasta. Excellent!!! Thanks Umberto

Our driver was great. Very informative,on time, nice clean vehicle and good English. Highly recommend Christian for tours of Castelbuono and Cefalu.

Really enjoyed Castelbuono. The guide had a lot of insight. He also had a great restaurant recommendation in Cefalu, but really just dropped us off without much guidance or insight. On the downside, there was a terrible odor in the van when he first picked us up. Noticeable to both my wife and I. He did something to correct it in Cefalu as it was not noticeable on the return.

Tour guide, Antonio, very knowledgeable about the area, history of Corleone and other infamous mafia/cosa nostra families. He picked us up from hotel on time with a comfortable van. The drive had beautiful scenery and the small town (9,000 population) had charming old and new sections. Tour of old home interesting led by Michelangelo with historical info on home and area. Then wonderful lunch at Russo Pastificio with homemade pasta by “grandma.” Quick stop at treasured cathedral, Monreale Duomo. The tour made for a relaxing and interesting day thanks to Antonio and his knowledge.

We spent the day with Umberto touring three very different and unique places: Segesto, Erice and Trapini. It’s hard to pick a favorite of the three, but if I had to I would say Erice. This city is very beautiful sitting on top of a mountain. The churches, buildings and castles were non like I had ever seen before. Umberto was very friendly and provided a lot of good information about the places we visited as well as Sicily.

We had the most wonderful tour of Corleone from Umberto. He went out of his way to ask the locals about my husband’s family heritage that originated from there. We had a very informative and interesting tour of the Godfathers house and then an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour, worth every penny!!

Christian drove our group of 6 to Segesta, Erice and Trapani. The next day Umberto drove us to Monreale, Castelbueno and Cefalu with our luggage. Both drivers were friendly and gave good information. Good communication and very professional. I would highly recommend.

This excursion was well worth the cost because of the personalized service received. Our tour guide, Roberto, did an excellent of driving us through the beautiful countryside of Palermo and the mountains surrounding the city of Corleone, while giving us a history of the mafia in relation to the surrounding areas. Roberto parked as close as possible to the Mafia Museum because he knew I had difficulty walking and doing steps. It was a short walk to the museum where we were welcomed by the owner of the mafia house museum and he gave us a most colorful and informative tour of the museum/house room by room. The house did not appear that big from the outside but it was quite spacious and contained many interesting rooms filled with artifacts and photos from the Corleone family that lived there in the past. Afterwards we walked to the center of the village and had lunch, then were off to see the church and village of Monreale Duomo. After viewing the church we had free time to explore the shops and village around the church and get a delicious gelato. Afterwards, Roberto took us back to Palermo. Before dropping us off at our hotel he was kind enough to show us the meeting place for our next excursion as well as good shopping areas before dropping us off at our hotel. Roberto also stopped along the way during our tour and gave us ample time take pictures of the beautiful scenery and he took pictures with us in them.
