- Vassakiii0 contributionsAn Amazing Tour with a Few Bumps Along the WayFabiana, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic. Her extensive knowledge of the history and her detailed explanations made the experience truly memorable. Everything about the tour was lovely, but be prepared—it is a long day, lasting 11 hours. We found ourselves quite exhausted during the last three hours. One issue we encountered was the driver’s reckless driving. He frequently sped up over bumps in the road, causing discomfort. In fact, my partner hit his head while seated normally on the bus. If you get car sickness (as I am), I strongly recommend sitting toward the front of the bus to minimise the impact of the rough ride.Written 19 January 2025

- V6757ADsarahh0 contributionsBeautiful and educational tour of the cityFrancesca embraced the cold/windy weather for us and provided an amazing tour of the beautiful city. She provided stories of how Florence came to be what it is today. You can tell Francesca takes pride in the amazing city she’s from (and rightfully so!) Walking by the historic landmarks of the city is breathtaking, I would recommend this tour if you really want to appreciate the city.Written 14 January 2025

- Philip M0 contributionsGood but the wine tasting/lunch was too much of a sales pitch. Should change their timing in Winter. The tour was good and guide knowledgeable . The timing was a bit off for Winter I feel. We got to San Giminagno at 5pm as the Sun set which was pretty however we literally had 5 mins of light and you could see that it would have been a stunning view of the Tuscan landscape. The lunch and wine tasting was more of a sales pitch to buy his wine. It went on for far too long thus Impacting later sights. The wine was very nice and the meal very nice (a little small) however initially I thought he was friendly asking where everyone was from however it was made clear that in the end he was asking so he could say they ship it to your country (not cheap). The place was very new (nice and clean) and appeared to be in an industrial area. Talking of industrial areas it seemed like the bus took us through many industrial areas I don't know if this is due to Tolls or due to the size of the bus. I would recommend it, and we all enjoyed it however hopefully the tour company takes some of these points on board.Written 12 January 2025

The bus was comfortable and tour guide & bus driver were great. Food was delicious at the winery and the wine tasting experience was lots of fun. San gimignano was my favourite place, a little ancient hill top town with spectacular views!Written 10 January 2025

My wife and I had a fantastic time cooking pasta (and eating it) during this course, highly recommend.
The kitchen school is just around the corner from where you meet up about a 10-15min walk from the main railway station in Pisa. There was around twenty people in the group and you cook in teams of between 4-6 across four tables with an instructor helping across two tables.
We learnt how to cook two types of pasta and a gnocchi from scratch and the sauces that went with them, as well as a Panna Cotta for dessert. The food was good for vegetarians and I believe they also have options for people who are Gluten free.
You spend around 2 hrs cooking and an hour eating and like me you don't have to be an expert cook. It was a great end to our holiday.

Our instructors, Adela and Natalie were excellent! They gave us many cooking tips and showed us how to prepare authentic Italian pasta. We made pasta, sauces and even dessert and then ate together as a group. I would highly recommend this class. An excellent value.

Incredible experience, very very good food and wonderful value for price. I would've appreciated a smaller class as the amount of people in the class did make it harder to get involved in all aspects, but a great way to meet new people and learn a new skill. The chefs were extremely kind and very knowledgeable.

I’m sure this is a lovely experience, but I didn’t get to find out. The tickets said a 10:35 meetup with a recommended 10:25AM meeting time. I arrived at the plaza (which was a large area with a lot of construction underway) exactly at 10:35 and saw NO ONE. Called customer service to see if I could meet the group at the restaurant or en route to the new site but they were no help. Moral of the story, whereas most tours will offer a grace period for arrival, this won’t and won’t offer even a partial refund so plan accordingly and arrive extra early to find the group.

Good afternoon from Caf Tour & Travel,
Dear Kerri,
thank you for your review.
We have taken the time to investigate in depth your comments and, from our records, we have received your call at 10:43 am, when the group was already gone and the experience began.
As you could see on your Voucher, it is mandatory to reach the Meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time. Punctuality is essential for the successful performance of activities such as the one you have booked.
Concerning your refund request, it is clearly stated on Viator’s T&C that, for no-shows at the departure time, no refund is due.
Hoping that the above clarifications would meet your understanding,
Kind regards

We were so disappointed. Our cruise ship changed the time they allowed us to disembark, making us late to get to the cooking class. I spoke with (I think) your company, and they said the chef would not allow anyone later than 15 minutes. So we lost all our money and the experience we were really looking forward to.

A son who loves to cook, a daughter who doesn’t. This activity was perfect and created a most wonderful family experience for both. We could not be happier with the crew, instruction and delicious meal WE created. We even made some new friends in the process. This was one of the best activities we planned when in Italy. No matter your experience level or even if your love of cooking is questionable, you will have a good time and learn something. Well worth it!

We did a class here in March as a family in a trip and we are all really pleased we did. Luckily on the day as there was so many people we had a private group for the 6 of us with Greta who was brilliant! She was so calm and thorough with her lesson and we all learnt alot! Our group has all levels of cooking skills and we all got involved and were able to do it all! Greta was brilliant and we really appreciate her making it so great!
The food was amazing we cooked 3 different types of pasta and 1 dessert, all of which we got to eat after. 1 of our party was gluten free and they were cooked fresh GF pasta as an alternative.
The only shame is that at the end, we didn't eat our exact pasta we made as it was mixed with all of the group when cooked, but we completely understand why and it's not a complaint!
We loved it and would do it again! GRAZIE GRETA AND TEAM!

We had such a great time! And they were really great about accommodating vegatarian. The instructions were clear and not too complicated. And they always demonstrated for us and had us repeat. My family had three people and we were grouped with four others. It was roughly 6 to 7 people per station. I especially like that we got to practice knife skills.
