      Wonderful Tuscany experience
It was a wonderful experience! The area is so beautiful and this tour seemed like an insider view of the region. This was the favorite experience for our family from our 12 days in Italy. We highly recommend it. Lavi was amazing & so knowledgeable. We hope to return in the future.

Stunning and wonderful day in Cinque Terre
We booked our Cinque Terre tour with Walkabout Tours using the GetYourGuide app. We spent 10 days in Italy this trip and did 8 guided tours and this trip, with our guide Chris at the helm, was hands-down the best thing we did the entire vacation. Chris is not just incredibly friendly and generous with time and attention, but he also had a ton of logistics to manage simultaneously. With steps to climb, hikes to navigate and trains to catch to move between towns, it’s truly a wonder that Chris was able to simultaneously dispense so much information and knowledge, making each town its own special visit, but also keep track of everyone and make sure all were cared for. I regret not asking his WhatsApp number so we might stay in touch post-trip, or possibly welcome him to the States some day. Chris made this trip truly unforgettable and the scenery of course simply speaks for itself. Thank you Chris!

      Great tour, bad parking
This was great tour, and a fabulous way to explore Tuscany. Our fellow tourists were excellent company and gave us lots of tips for other cities we planned to visit. There is one caveat: these huge tour buses have to park a good distance from the center city, both in Florence as well as during the tour. In particular, the path from downtown Sienna to the bus is a long hike UPHILL OVER COBBLESTONES. Upon our return to Florence at the end of a very long day, we had to walk some 15 minutes in pouring rain to get back to the station. It’s a great trip, but arduous at points. An Australian tourist mentioned that it is better to look around Pisa briefly and take the train back.

      Amazing Experience, Highly recommend.
I don’t usually go on tours when traveling, but this one was amazing. Our tour guide Alessandro was so helpful and welcoming towards everyone; even giving us tourists tips to navigate Florence! As well as our driver, Giuseppe, which made the entire trip possible, getting us from place to place very fast. Both were fantastic and I would definitely go on another tour because of them!

      Tuscany day trip.
My husband and I had an amazing time on our Tuscany tour. Our guide, Laura, was amazing. She was very informative and kind. We felt like we got the most out of a day in Tuscany. My favorite stop was the winery. 🍷

A Spectacular Day Exploring San Gimignano, Siena and Pisa.
Our trip to San Gimignano, Siena, Tuscany, and Pisa was absolutely spectacular—perfect for anyone looking to see the best of Italy’s countryside in just one day! The views of the rolling hills and charming villages were breathtaking, and the experience felt like stepping into a postcard. While the visits to Siena and San Gimignano felt a bit rushed, the team did their best to make the most of our time in each city. A definite highlight of the trip was lunch at a picturesque vineyard. The stunning views, mouthwatering food, and exquisite wine made it a meal to remember. We also visited Pisa and had the chance to see the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was a surreal moment standing in front of this world-famous landmark and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the area. Our guide, Sarah, was exceptional—fun, professional, and full of enthusiasm, which made the day even more enjoyable. Despite encountering some traffic on the way back due to the Christmas week, our driver remained calm and managed the situation beautifully to get us back on time. The buses were clean and comfortable, and the tour was impeccably organized. I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting a seamless and memorable way to explore Tuscany and its treasures!

      Big bang for the buck!
Absolutely amazing walking tour! It took about three hours and our guide Becky was very accommodating with bathroom breaks and stopping for snacks or warm drinks on a very windy morning. I highly recommend this tour.

      Simply EXCELLENT!
This food class was incredible. The Florence Pizza and Gelato Class turned out to be the best activity I did in my 6 weeks of travels. Cris, Arla and Tiziano were amazing; so friendly and informative. They were simply brilliant. The location was superb too. So glad I booked this last minute and I’d definitely recommend.

Incredible Tour: sites, food (/wine) and guides
This tour allows you to see incredible sites and tastes of Tuscany. Our tour guide Sara, paired our driver Giuseppe, made for a perfect duo that combined a wonderful sense of humor, knowledge base and overall desire to make our trip the best it could be! Highly recommend this for a day trip out of Florence as it complimented the city exploring perfectly.

Very fun experience would highly recommend
Alessandro was a brilliant tour guide. The best we have had in Italy for any experience so far. He was funny, knowledgeable and very open to conversations with people. He made us all feel welcome and looked after us well. Giuseppe was our driver and he was also fantastic. Got us from A to B quickly and made us feel safe.

      True Taste of Tuscan
It was an amazing safari through Tuscan vineyards on paths less travelled. Our wine buddy Fabian shared fabulous tales of Tuscany, Chianti and Italy in general. He also arranged a splendid spread of wines matched to local cheese and food.

A good tour but a very long day
This was a very good tour. Siena was amazing as was the winery lunch. San Gimignano is a beautiful little town. I have one tip though that made our trip heaps better. By the time you get to Pisa it is late in the day and you have travelled in the bus quite a bit. Pisa is a real nothing town - apart from the tower. We found out that we would be spending about an hour in Pisa and then 90-120 minutes for the bus ride home. I looked up the timetable and saw that trains back to Firenze SMN were frequent enough and only took an hour. So once we got off the bus we took a few pics of the tower and headed straight for the train and got back probably 90-120 minutes before the bus would have.

Exciting and action packed day on a Vespa seeing the beautiful countryside of Florence
It was fun to ride on the back of the Vespa and my partner really enjoyed driving it. Our tour guides Fabio and the man at the workshop (forgot his name) but he showed us how to ride the vespas were both excellent, best tour guides of the trip so far. So knowledgeable and entertaining and funny, we didn’t get bored once listening to them. One thing to note is if you are tall riding on the back of the Vespa can be a bit tiring on your legs. Another thing is that during winter the roads are slippery and wet and there is mud which can make riding the Vespa a little more dangerous… this is why you need to go slower and more carefully because you may skid and fall off. Other than that it was really fun.

I went to Italy for 10 days and this was my favorite thing I did.
My husband and I took the pizza and gelato making class with Max, Arla and Tiziano. I was nervous at first because sometimes you pay a lot of money for basically a tourist trap and although only tourist were on this tour, it was one of the most fun experiences in our entire Italy trip. The estate was stunning. Every teacher was not only informative but so funny and charismatic. It was like a show whole you were learning. Also the food was amazing! My husband and I said it was the best pizza we had while in Italy. My only critique would be to have one other non-alcoholic option besides water, but that's it! I highly recommend to anyone visiting Florence!

I get to check this off my bucket list: take a cooking class in Italy! Our guide Chris was amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable! You start the day meeting at the train station and walk your way to the central market where you and your guide will purchase the ingredients for what you’re cooking! Chris explained to us the ingredients we were using and other Italian trivia! After going through the market we walked about 10 minutes to get to the coach. From there we took about a 20 minute ride to “the countryside” where our cooking class takes place. We were warmly greeted by the amazing Carmela. Since we were a bigger group we all took turns chopping, cooking, making, etc. Carmela and Chris instructed and showed us how to prepare and cook the dishes we prepared. Though, Carmela speaks very very little English, she has such an animated personality that you are laughing and having a blast the whole entire time you’re there. Don’t worry, things don’t get lost in translated, Chris translated for us! We prepared a traditional ragu, pork dish with potatoes, pasta, bruschetta, and tiramisu...and yes all from scratch! Oh, and they provide lots and lots of wine! Let me also mention that the views are absolutely breathtaking. You get a gorgeous view of the Tuscan hills. You are able to purchase things there as well! From the wine, wooden spoons, and even the cool curved knife we used. The class started at 9 am and we ended about 3:30 pm. I would highly recommend this class because it was an amazing experience!!

As part of our 1st Anniversary trip to Italy, it was recommended by mutual friends to experience this Tuscan Cooking class. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. We were met with our tour group (roughly 14-16 people) at the train station by our Chef/Guide Chris, who guided us over to Mercato Centrale to shop for our ingredients for the meal we were going to make. He was outstanding guiding us through the market, teaching about all of the ingredients, and giving us the local flavor of the market and surrounding area. After shopping, we had a short walk to the bus and a short bus trip to the modern farmhouse that overlooked the city. It was a foggy day, which was unfortunate, but on a sunny day, it was clear that the view would have been spectacular.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Carmela who was our lead chef for the day and in a way, our Italian Mother for the day. She was amazing to be with, funny, lively, and made the day memorable. She and Chris walked us through, in detail, all of the steps to make our meal. We started with Bruschetta, moved to a Ragu Sauce for the Tagliatelle, Roast Pork with potatoes, and finished with Tiramisu. Carmela and Chris got everyone involved in the entire process and we all were able to make our own pasta (one of the highlights of the day). At the end, we all sat down and enjoyed everything we cooked with some wonderful Tuscan wine. We could not have asked for a better experience and thank Chris and Carmela for such a wonderful day. We would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Florence.

This was such a fun day! The market in Florence was an amazing "feast" for the senses with fantastic smells, sights, sounds and tastes. From there we took a short ride to a beautiful estate overlooking the city, where olive trees and herbs made for a fantastic photo op. Then it was time to cook! Our hostess, Carmella, was an Italian ball of energy, and she kept us entertained while making sure we were well fed. Our guide and translator, Lavignia, did a great job of keeping the day on track and answering all of our questions. Amd even though I suspect a lot of great reviews will make this tour more expensive the next time I come, I would recommend this for cooks, foodies, friends, couples, and anyone seeking a great experience in Florence!

It was a wet rainy Thursday when we did this activity but was by far one of the best experiences we had while in Florence. We first met with Lavinia (our guide and interpreter for Carmela) at the Santa Maria Novella station, then went to the nearby Mercato Centrale to get the ingredients we need. Lavinia gave us some tips and tricks on buying parmeggiano and other hard Italian cheeses and also pointed out places to eat traditional Florentine dishes inside the market. Then we headed to the beautiful estate where Carmela’s kitchen is. Carmela is such pleasant and funny lady and her energy is so contagious that everyone was comfortable in no time, with a little help from the Chiante wine they keep giving us. We also love Lucca who added more fun to the class. We highly recommend Lavinia and Carmela’s class as well as Lucca’s pizza making class if you have more days to spare.
Aside from the pasta we all made individually, we also helped make the other dishes like the pork loin roast, ragu sauce and also made pur own tiramisu. We had some wine with bruschetta with tomato basil topping.

This was a brilliant day out! Lavinia is a brilliant guide - she was passionate about Florence and the food culture of Italy! After a short walk through the streets of Florence, we went to the markets. This was a great experience and we really enjoyed hearing Lavinia’s explanations of everything she was buying.

After some time, we went up and out of the city (just 10 mins by bus) to a gorgeous Tuscan estate where we were greeted by the funny and fabulous chef, Carmela!

Throughout our time on the estate, we helped make bruschetta, ragu, a pork main and tiramisu! As the group was quite large, we all helped make these parts of the meal!

We had a brilliant demonstration by Carmela of how to make a range of different types of pasta and then we all made our own tagliatelle from scratch!

Throughout the day, Lavinia was wonderful - she was funny, informative and a great translator! We were kept topped up with a gorgeous Chianti wine too!

Overall, we would 100% recommend this pasta making class - it was so much more than learning how to make pasta! We really had a super day!

Going into this class we were unsure how’d it’d go we didn’t know what to expect at all being we knew no Italian didn’t know if that’d be a problem. Gloria was an excellent guide through Florence and taught us so much we loved hearing about the wine doors on the streets and learning about the culture from her. Going through the market and learning where the ingredients come from and seeing her relationship with all the different workers at the market was fun and exciting especially once we got to the three year old Parmesan cheese (amazing) it was so delicious.

Once we got picked up and taken to the place we were doing the actual cooking was our favorite part that’s where we met Carmela, she’s so fun, exciting and full of life and energy really got us all involved and knew how to make everything so fun my wife and I learned how to make pasta and tiramisu. We had a great group of people who took the class with us aswell everyone seemed to enjoy everything so much. We had our dinner in a building next to the kitchen it was an amazing view and even better food mid way through dinner we had a rainstorm pass over and lightning struck really close by our experience was amazing to say the least. When we come back we’re definitely doing their other class as well as any other experience they provide thanks so much Gloria and Carmela

My husband and I had such an incredible time on this tour! It was one of our favorites from our honeymoon. Olivia was amazing, she took us through the market and showed us and explained to us from top to bottom the market, what is in the market, and which produce we were going to get to make our delicious lunch. We were able to sample a few items which was delicious and had enough time that if we wanted to grab something for ourselves we could! Then we were bused to a BEAUTIFUL Tuscan farmhouse where we met Carmela who was incredible. Olivia and Carmela had such a beautiful friendship and their conversation/them playing off of each other is what truly made the cooking class fun, friendly, and exciting. We were able to interact/cook every step of the way and they were so encouraging for everyone to participate. Learning different ways to make pasta, cooking ragu sauce, and making tiramisu…my goodness I could go on and on! It was truly an incredible experience and we would recommend to anyone wanting a fun, interactive, delicious day!

What a fun way to spend the day in Florence! Isak was a great guide with a lot of knowledge and true passion for cooking and food. He also has a great sense of humor, so if this job as a chef doesn't work out I think he might be a good stand up comic.

I loved our tour of the market and getting tastes from the different vendors. Then we were off to our villa and exquisite kitchen to cook. Although Carmela doesn't speak much English, she shares her love for cooking in her songs and dances. It was especially amusing to watch Isak blush when he had to translate her naughty lyrics.

The food we made was delicious, the teachers were great, the setting stunning...I can't say enough wonderful things about the experience. It was a really nice way as a solo traveler to meet some people and enjoy a little company on the road. Thanks Isak and Carmela for making this an experience I will always treasure.

This tour was a big highlight of our Italian trip. The tour started off with Isak taking us to a local market to collect ingredients for our cooking lesson. We then drove up to a beautiful farmhouse where we met Carmela. Carmela did not speak much English, but with her emotive personality we always knew exactly what she was saying (plus Isak would also translate). My top one reason for visiting Italy was for the food and this tour did not disappoint. The bolognese pasta we cooked was the best I have ever had, and now my partner and I don't even bother buying it out, we make it ourselves with the recipe Isak and Camela sent us after the tour.

From the moment we met Luca at the meeting point we could tell it was going to be a fun-filled day! Starting out at the Mercato Centrale was a treat. Luca led us from vendor to vendor picking up ingredients we’d need for our lunch. Samples along the way introduced many in the class ( including several children) to new tastes and flavors . After the Mercato, it was just a short drive to the beautiful estate in the Tuscan hills. The cooking class was both a learning experience and truly entertaining. Luca, Guilia and the rest of the team led us through the phases of preparing our meal with skill and humor. The meal and wine were both delicious and enjoying them with the beautiful scenery made everything even more memorable. I couldn’t wait to get home to order Luca’s cookbook and try some more of his yummy recipes. It was one of the best days of our 3 week trip and I would highly recommend the experience to anyone.
