Overview
Florence is a compact city yet, as the capital of the Italian Renaissance, its concentration of museums and monuments is amazing. Rather than build your own itinerary and grapple with maps and long lines, join this fully guided tour to check off the highlights and get skip-the-line access to Michelango’s celebrated David sculpture, too. Covering everything from art to shops, it's perfect for new visitors or anyone with limited time.

Highlights
  • Capture the highlights of Florence on one easy walking tour
  • Skip the long lines at the Accademia museum to see Michelangelo’s David
  • See classic Florence, the Oltrarno art district, and Via Tornabuoni shops
  • Learn about the city’s rich history and heritage from a local guide
What to Expect
Greet your guide and your small group in the city center and start your tour with two of Florence’s greatest squares: ancient Piazza della Repubblica and sculpture-filled Piazza della Signoria. Admire the jewelry stalls along the Ponte Vecchio (medieval stone bridge), learn the unique history of the Vasari Corridor above it, and visit the Palazzo Pitti, once home to Florence’s rulers. Next, explore Oltrarno, Florence’s bohemian district with its artists, workshops, and cafés. Grab a classic shot of the Ponte Vecchio from the Ponte Santa Trinita and then continue along Via Tornabuoni, Florence’s fashion and window-shopping mecca. After admiring Palazzo Strozzi, Florence Cathedral (the Duomo), and the Baptistery, walk to the Accademia Gallery and skip the line to see Michelangelo’s original David, a world-famous sculpture. Your guide will tell you the secrets behind the statue and Michelangelo’s life, before your tour wraps up outside.

Our tour guide was Elena and she was very interesting. The tour should have had 10 people but there were a lot of cancellations so ended up just being the 2 of us which was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Thank you Cindy! Sometimes it happens that you are just 2 people even in a group tour so you have the tour private. We don't cancel the tour even with few participants! All the best

Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and showed sincere care for her city of Florence. She went up and beyond to help us understand both the history of the city and the events that have transpired to get us to current day. Really appreciated the insights!
